The Outside
Physical Description:
Before he started to use the Triad, Jonathan was a fairly respectfully strong-looking figure within the modern world of Marine affairs, though it was pretty clear that he was more cut for bureaucracy and office-work than actual combat. Standing at a higher-than-average height of 6'2, he was taller than most soldiers that he had to take care of during his career. His skin tone, fairly pale, and lack of muscles hinted towards a reclusive life style that most often happened behind a desk, writing down information on paper or on a computer screen. The fact that he most often wore glasses underneath his short dark hair was a clear indication that he also suffered from poor eyesight, meaning that he could not handle a gun as greatly as most soldiers on the battlefield.
What mostly stood out from him, however, was his generally calm and kind expressions he sported on his face almost all the time. There was almost no way for somebody to describe this man as even remotely aggressive, which is why many cannot even imagine the man fighting against other people, especially brutes like the usual Pirates of nowadays.
However, after he started wearing the cybernetic piece of hardware, he slowly started to change underneath the illusion the Triad created. As he acquired more and more knowledge and started losing his general humanity, his entire body started modifying itself to appear more menacing. Muscles, generated by a multitude of cybernetics underneath the skin and nanobots, started bulging on the skin of Jonathan, and his hair, once quite attractive, started to fall, rendering him completely bald. His skin, affected by the cybernetics, started turning green, and the Triad, completed, sunk within his forehead, now completely stuck underneath the skin.
Now, most of Jonathan's body is mostly made of metal. Though some parts of him are still made of skin, his humanity has been completely lost as well as his former identity. His face has almost no similarity to his previous original one, and his eyes, previously blue, are now black with white pupils, modified by the nanobots within.
Clothing:
Once upon a time, the man was quite used to wear the signature Marine officer coat over basic clothing. Ironically, these basic clothing were what you would commonly see on a civilian, such as a shirt along with jeans and shoes, though, at the job, he was respectfully putting a white blouse along with fancy black pants and shoes. In other words, office clothing that you would not bring onto the battlefield.
After his transformation into a robotic war machine, the man now almost never wears any clothes, using only but the illusions created by the Triad to generate the basic clothes he once wore. One, however, would find strange that he now almost never changes his clothes, as his new robotic self, finding them irrelevant to his new tasks, completely forgot them, having deleting these memories from his database.

Personality
Jonathan was always known to be a very kind person. Ever since he was a child, he was the kind of man that would always help out anyone who was in need in front of him, regardless of what they were and what they pursued in life. Thus, it was not very rare for him to be seen, while he was a lower-grade soldier, wandering around battlefields without actually fighting, instead simply hiding behind cover and trying to help whoever was suffering from their wounds. Though he was not a doctor, his presence was enough for many to be convinced that they were going to survive throughout the battles.
Such a sentiment was not really enjoyed by many of his comrades who started referring to him as a coward and a traitorous fool. Seeing as he was apart of the lower-ranked Marine divisions, they were mostly made of young men and women who wished to fight against Pirates without mercy... and so, seeing a merciful person among their ranks was, to them, a complete and utter betrayal of their values. Once he was made an officer, Jonathan refused to return to the battlefield and instead opted for a more office-aimed work, making himself useful in paperwork and in the most scientific divisions of the Navy, which quite greatly clarifies his interest in the more complicated modern sciences.
Affected by the Triad, however, what is left is almost nothing of the previous man he once was. Due to the many modifications to his brain that were done by the nanobots unleashed by the cybernetic, it led Jonathan to lose many of what could describe him as a proper Human.
Soon, he started losing his emotions to a point that he eventually became almost completely emotionless and almost robot-like in behaviour, analyzing everything and only reacting by pure reaction and computer-generated reflexes. Eventually, the only thing that was left in his monstrous new form was his incredible intelligence and a ravaging hunger for perfection that many of his colleagues are slightly intimidated by.
Even with the illusions of the Triad protecting his appearance, the same cannot be said for what he has now become in personality...
History
Road to Perfection Jonathan Mercier was born in the large and famous Mercier family of Water 7, of which specializes itself in carpentering and boat construction, from mother Paulette Mercier and father Christian Mercier. Fifth son of the family, he was one of the very youngest children the family had at the time alongside his brother Olivier Mercier who was only but a year older than him.
To be fair, most of his childhood and early life were rather mundane for a man of such recent importance. Back when he still lived on the island of Water 7, He had the luxury to live a very comfortable early life alongside his wealthy parents and family thanks to the enormous wealth their company, Mercier Works, provided to them. Though they were no Nobles by any means and more akin to the modern upper-middle class, Jonathan's family were able to treat him rather well and he suffered no major hardships during his childhood.
Of course, being the owners of a boating company, it was no surprise that his parents and siblings tried to bring him into their world when he attained a reasonable age. As such, once he reached the age of nine, Jonathan started working small jobs that could be done by boys of his age, such as carrying small pieces of wood. Eventually, as he grew up, these jobs became more predominant, instead turning into the carrying of large planks of wood and actually doing some carpentering himself on some of the boats they offered.
For a while, this actually worked out as the young Jonathan, still young and lacking any real objective in life, was convinced that his future would be here, with his family, helping them with the best he ever could. However, that was all before he had ever encountered any sort of violence, being far too sheltered away from it by his own family. At the age of fourteen, it was when he witnessed, helpless in this situation, the complete beating of a very poor man in the streets of the city of his own island by a band of crooks that, shocked, the young man decided to go on and follow a path that would perhaps render him able to take care of such violent situations as peacefully as possible.
For the next few years before his registration in the Navy, Jonathan lost complete interest in carpentering, which heavily surprised his family. However, knowing it was best for them to leave him be on his decisions, they allowed him, once he would reach the proper legal age for military enrolment, to become an official soldier, though it was not without resistance as both of his parents were afraid that this decision might lead him to his unfaithful death. Nevertheless, the young man persisted and, soon, he enrolled.
His early years of Marine work was far from exciting. Impressed by his physical strength, those who were responsible for his registration made him an Ensign and decided to appoint him to a combat-specialized division known as the 22nd Brigade. Unbeknownst to Jonathan, this division was not really important, as its main task was to patrol the seas of the Blues and take care of any minor crimes they ever see.
However, during this time, it was at that moment that he realized that, as much as he wanted to become a soldier, his mind was simply not made for combat. Being not a marksman nor a physical fighter, he received more than just a single complaint from his superiors whenever he refused to comply to orders that told him to brutally arrest any Pirates in front of him, instead trying to make peace with words instead of guns. Such behaviour was also met with laughter and ridicule from the other members of the Brigade - which was mostly made of young, excited, trigger-happy men -, who referred to him as being a complete coward and a fool. For them, there was no such thing as delivering mercy to Pirates that wanted nothing more but to shoot you in the head.
So, exhausted from all the bullying, Jonathan filed a complaint to his superiors about the violent behaviours of the members of the 22nd Brigade. He personally could not believe that peace could not simply be achieved with words instead of weapons. His complaint was met with a letter from a high-ranking Marine soldier that criticized his words - comparing them to one of a politician's more than a soldier's - and generally referred to them as insulting to the Marines, but, nevertheless, it was also followed with a possibility for Jonathan to instead attain a less violent task in an office in Loguetown. He accepted right away.
For the next years, Jonathan worked in an office in Loguetown that was responsible for the transferring of information towards many combat units in the Blues with the aid of Den Den Mushis. Surprisingly to the other members in the office, he revealed himself to be not only a great writer, but also a superb coordinator. It was not uncommon for the young man to be disappointed by the decisions that had been taken by his superiors by letter, noticing the many flaws that their combat strategies shown, of which he pointed out straight away to his superiors, which were soon followed by corrections that he himself appointed. All of these strategies were all surprisingly successful, and it was at that moment that his superiors finally saw what he could finally be.
He was promoted many times as a firm combat coordinator and strategist, and, soon, Jonathan was known throughout the Marines as an impressive war mind of high intelligence. Such intellect soon interested a young woman of the Marine's Science Division, of about his age, that went by the name of Adela Schmidt. Deciding to meet up with the young man one day, the scientist invited him to a bar in Loguetown, of where they both discussed science and what it could possibly bring to the Navy's future.
Needless to say, hearing so many new things brought Jonathan in a whole new world that he never thought he would have had the chance to access. After this meeting, he and Adela became great friends, and he grew a great interest in science. During his office work, it would not be surprising for him to read a book from time to time on the laws of physics or the functions of the Human anatomy, which would intrigue some of his coworkers. This interest eventually found its way to his superiors, which, intrigued, offered him to become a part of the Science Division. He accepted right away, along with the condition of still providing them advises when it came to battle strategies from time to time.
Once he joined the Science Division, Jonathan fully tied himself to the world of science, though never really took away the paperwork part of his life as, switching departments, started working in Adela's laboratory along with her coworkers. Adela could not have been happier about these news. Fairly quickly, they started working with one another, and, quite soon, their relationship went from friendship to romantic.
They married after a year of working between one another. They both celebrated this event on Water 7, meeting with Jonathan's parents once more as, in awe, they watched their newfound son become a proud man (who hadn't been shot just yet!). Retiring from their work for three months, their love led them further... and soon, they wished for a family.
And a family, they started.
Adela became pregnant during those three months, which eventually forbid her to work too much alongside the other scientists due to the use of dangerous fluids within the laboratory that could possibly harm the baby. Though she did wanted to work, even Jonathan eventually had to step in to prevent her from harming their child, and she eventually stopped and simply lived amongst the Mercier family on Water 7, refusing to go back to her own family for some unknown reason. After a few more months, Emilia Mercier was born.
The couple remained with their child for a good while, never getting their eye off of her. As she grew up, they would even allow her to come to the laboratory despite the worry of the other scientists, who were all afraid that she would either destroy very important work or endanger her life. Nevertheless, they all lived a very happy life during that time together. Jonathan proved himself to be a very caring father and Adele, a dear mother.
However, suddenly, one day, Adele completely disappeared, leaving nothing but a strange yellow triangle-like device behind.
Her disappearance heavily struck Jonathan. With shock, he started searching for her immediately, thinking that she could not have gone far and that it was impossible for her to not have told him that she was leaving on that day. He was never able to find her, and the day before that was the very last time he was ever able to see her again.
This left Jonathan a wreck of depression and sadness. Though he was still left with his dear Emilia, he could not believe Adele could simply get up and leave him and their child just like that without even having telling them what was going on, and yet, there was nothing that told it was a kidnapping or anything of the sort. The man could also not recall anyone who hated him to the point of trying to ruin his private life in such a way, and, without hints to anything at all, he remained depressed for quite some time. Even his fellow scientists had no idea where his wife could have possibly gone, making sure that Jonathan could go through this as safely as possible.
Emilia, too young to remember any of this, did not remember anything of this event, though was still able to grow up with a caring father that took care of her as much as he possibly could. He remained with her at all times, taking care of her like any loving father should do. Being naturally kind, his emotions were no problem for him to handle whenever he was around Emilia, though it was indeed quite true that she reminded him of his dear wife. What pained him the most was when his daughter started to like wearing the dress that he had bought for Adela for their wedding, which eventually led to him simply asking Emilia to stop wearing it whenever she did so.
Of course, he kept the strange triangle-like artifact all this time. He decided not to touch or study it for quite some time, though it was quite clear that this was his only clue to where his wife could have possibly gone. Eventually, one day, out of curiosity, he decided to study it so he could perhaps find a possible clue to where his wife could have gone. For some odd reason, the next day, he woke up in his room, with the artifact having disappeared from his sight. For some reason, though, it seemed as though he was wearing it. Though he should have been affected by this, he simply sighed off the fact and went back to his usual life.
Oh... What a mistake that was... for, one day, such blissful ignorance to this whole concept... will leave him, and his daughter, both Perfected.

All of these cybernetics use Oxygen as Fuel. If Fuel is low, the Triad will alert Jonathan of the low supply with a red tear-like icon.
Current Fuel Limit: 748 This limit will be drained by Techniques that are underneath the "Cyber-Techs" category. Should all Fuel be consumed, the Automata can have the option to use the "Fuel" stat (originally, Stamina) instead of refuelling, but this can lead to heavy system malfunctions. If this stat reaches 0, the body will be forced to enter a state that will require electricity to function, which will render the Automata unable to fight any longer until proper refuelling.
Head The Triad
The Triad, as Jonathan calls it, is the entirety of the neural systems that reside within his "True Form"'s head. To put it simply, it is a vast and complex construct of scientific mechanisms of which sole purpose is to not only greatly expand the user's knowledge and intelligence, but also its offensive and defensive capabilities. They were made by Lotus Laboratories as the second prototype of their newest series of cybernetics, codenamed "Tridents". Originally, its creator, Viktor Schmidt, referred to it as "Model 2-0-9".
Physically, the Triad consists of nothing more than a single triangle of gold placed on the user's head. Though it is of a triangular shape, it is not really a triangle per say, as it is more of a link between three specific circles on one's forehead. Underneath each circle is a sharp tip that punctures right through the user's head to reach the brain. These tips only come out after the user has fully put the Triad on its head. It is once that specific condition is respected that, then, the person that wears the Triad will undergo a severe metamorphosis into a being that shall only serve the Lotus Laboratories. As such, this is more of a brain-washing machine than a true cybernetic.
The metamorphosis first starts the moment the Triad's needles enters the brain. At that specific point, the user will be immediately clinically "killed" due to heavy brain damage and will be forced into unconsciousness. In the meanwhile, the needles will unleash an extreme amount of nanobots within the user's brain to replace it all with metallic and computer-like components. Once the user will wake up, seeming alive once more, it will notice that the Triad has "disappeared" due to a camouflage system integrated within it. Additionally, they will suffer from a casual migraine due to nanobots' constant modifications, though, at this point, it is now far too late to save the user from his or her fate.
As time goes on, the user's intelligence will become far superior to its previous state, and so he or she will want to seek knowledge at all cost. This knowledge will be sent to Lotus Laboratories terminals all across the seas for further studies and examinations. The user will also start becoming less Human in behaviour, seeming to lose their emotions as time goes on. They will also seemingly start to lose memories of their past life, of closed ones and family.
Once another amount of time has passed, the user will suddenly acquire strange psychic-like abilities of which are caused by the activation of anti-gravity devices within the user's brain. While using such abilities, the Triad will appear on their head, beaming in a yellow gleam. It is when the user has acquired such abilities that they will start developing a certain hobby. Most people affected by the Triad wish to achieve perfection, though results vary greatly between each users. This is also where the Triad will start creating a false illusion around the user's body to make sure that everybody who stares at the person does not notice any further physical changes.
After three months underneath its effects, the user will also have undergone an extreme physical change that renders them more robotic, stripping them of their humanity. For Jonathan, it is why his skin became green-ish and his face more pronounced and violent, affected by the nanobots, and, also, why his body suddenly started to turn into Seastone.
Rest of Body The rest of Jonathan's True Form is almost entirely made of Seastone, which gives him great defensive potential against incoming attacks that might injure him. Coated with a black paint job, the body looks immediately futuristic and almost even outlandish, heavily influenced by Velvet G. Falcone's work on her very own body.
Though defence is the main objective of the rest of Jonathan's metallic body, offence is not left out of its list of criteria given the fact that it sports a certain amount of metallic tentacles within it. These tentacles are mainly for instant attacks and gripping on surfaces that would usually be deemed impossible to climb such as rock walls and ceilings. Though they do possess claws to render this impossibility a reality, the propulsion used to send them towards hostiles is so strong that it is almost entirely unnecessary to use them, seeing as they usually go right through the surfaces they are trying to grip.
The tentacles mainly come out of Jonathan's back from large plate-like openings, but they can also appear from underneath his wrists. The claws can also position themselves correctly to act similarly to sharp blades, of which are strong enough to puncture through flesh with ease. Usually, however, Jonathan will use them purely to defend himself against most incoming attacks thanks to the speed of their activation and the utmost control he has over them.

Technique Trait
- Signature Technique (1 Trait) - This trait grants the character one special technique that is 12 ranks higher than their maximum.
Profession Trait
- Average Warrior, Brilliant Scientist (3 Traits): Anything is possible with the magic of science! What's that you say? It's contradictory?! BALDERDASH! Scientists relentlessly research their field to bring the world new and fantastical inventions, from the wonders of technology to biological enhancements, if there's a science, you bet your ass someone has dedicated their life to it and possibly others. Those with this trait are able to build more abstract creations often with a dangerous or ultimate rank in cost(such as cloning, splicing, putting fruits into objects, creating mechas, etc.). Brilliant Scientists get a 50% discount on items/weapons based on technology. This discount is non-stackable with other traits (items with magic or curses or whatnot are excluded from this, only weapons and objects in ships count on the topic of ships).
Haki Traits
- Haki: Observation (King Level) (5 Traits): Characters with this trait gain the ability to discern other sentient beings beyond the realms of the basic five senses. They can pinpoint the presence of sentient beings within a 50m radius without physically seeing them and can register ten attacks through the Color of Observation. This trait offers the free Trait technique, "King's Observation".
- Haki: Titanic Armaments (5 Traits): Character's with titanic armour have the power to can pierce through the powers of devil fruits to touch the real bodies of their users. This power works through physical contact. When in contact with such a devil fruit user their powers, and in the case of Logias apparent invincibilities, do not manifest upon the area of contact. This manifestation returns when the holder of this trait loses contact with the devil fruit user.
Racial Trait
- Automata (2 Traits) Requires all Perfect Cyborg Traits + Scientist Trait - Automatas are a race of people that were once defined by organic flesh, though have later decided to transfer their consciousness into a robotic body. Thus, this has given them the possibility to become completely unable to be killed naturally, ageless and unbounded by the limits of flesh. They were ultimately created by Velvet G. Falcone after the World Government, having learned of the ultimate success of the transfer of her consciousness into a robot, decided to make her "Transfer" program open-source and able to be bought on computer chips.
Automatas are given the possibility to augment themselves by the use of advanced technology and intense programming thanks to a 50% Discount to all of their cybernetic upgrades. Additionally, Traits spent on their Perfect Cybernetics will be refunded and the character will be given the freedom to choose between two options: either four of them are spent on a maxed Stat-Altering Trait and the rest are kept so they can be spent on anything the player wants, or they are kept for higher-grade material for their bodies. If the second option is taken, the Automata will be given the choice to spend 4 of their refunded traits on a Strong-graded material for their bodies or all of them on a Dangerous-graded material.
The name of their Stamina stat will also be replaced by "Fuel", which will see its consumption increase as a result when using Cyborg Techniques. Also, unlike their Cyborg counterparts, Automatas can only consume Zoan-Type Devil Fruits. Although they still possess an actual Soul like most normal living beings, their bodies are, however, considered objects and will thus be able to be modified by the Zoan Devil Fruit's powers, seeing as they could be considered as Devil Fruit Weapons.
Saving Trait
- Fated (1 Trait) - When the character earns a trait point, they gain 1.5 trait points instead of the traditional 1. Fated acts as a banking system. These traits are usable whenever the taker sees fit. X does not have to be a whole number, and due to the nature of fated can be X or X.5 traits.
