Word of sale is significantly faster than word of mouth, Danny realized this the day she awoke in a Loguetown Hospital with all of her paperwork collected and signed in triplicate by Shallow, as well as a letter of both recommendation, and notification of promotion next to her, laying on her nightstand. She didn't stay in that town long though, enough to solidify bonds with her marine contact, and enough to heal her wounds to a point where she could walk without committing too terribly to the pain. She now sit comfortably on her ship with her stomach wrapped tight in bandaging, and her body shape-shifted into a swimsuit with a large sun hat to keep the sun off her face as she go through her most recent dealings confirming that all of the paperwork was signed correctly while she was out cold. I missed dot on an i or a missing cross on a t could spell disaster for a lawsuit... But it seemed that Shallow went through the painstaking procedure of reading the entire thing... In triplicate. Poor kid. She set her paperwork down as she reached for a glass of Jalapeno Vodka, downing it in a savory manner as she picked up her letter of promotion. She was now an Executive of the Barrel Action Stocks brand, who solidified their name in the East Blue as a company sworn to go against pirates. It would make her back room dealings far more heavy, but the money is definitely falling into the right hands now. Or at least it will when time permits. Her promotion came with the benefit that she is now a free agent able to sell in any of the Blues she wants, and at an executives price. She also gets to handle any merchants under her or the logo in a manner befitting a mid-level manager. The most important part about this promotion though was that her ill-intent towards the head of the company who was located in the South... Well his days are numbered. She couldn't do anything before setting up some very special contracts with certain unreputable individuals. But through her paperwork she was as clean as a whistle to everyone but herself. She knew that the CEO's head would rest on a pike, and her first order as Executive was to see how the illegitimate side of the company viewed the boss... So she requested through the company's own private messaging channel that a representative meet her on the open sea. |

What one might consider illegitimate, others may see a missed and wasted chance to increase their profits. But any who worked the underworld knew the judgement cast upon them, regardless of who purchased whatever goods and services they offered up. Such was the life of someone who spent their time working the murky world that many turn a blind eye to. A dangerous road to walk, especially when your job was to handle representing the illegitimate business dealings of the underworld for a company like Barrel Action Stocks. Anything could be a red flag, especially when an executive of the brand had requested to meet with a representative of that side. Although normally he'd consider this a meeting he'd like to avoid, Aries had a sense that it would be different. Perhaps it was because of who called upon his side to meet with someone. It's not like he didn't do his own research into why someone would want to set up this meeting either, after how many times he's been screwed over by bad deals arranged by the CEO he wasn't the happiest person to meet with anyone high on the list. It wasn't often after all that an executive of the company wanted to meet with their more shady counterparts. Not that it really mattered to him. In the end he wasn't the only one who could've answered to this summon. He just, by luck, was the only one available who wasn't trying to seal a deal with pirate or another dangerous person in secret. Knowing that the meeting was going to take place on the open sea, he had obtained a small boat that he could handle on his own to travel to the designated area. As for his attire, while normally he might have considered dressing up for the occasion, his swim trunks were really all he had on aside from sunglasses. He did have a shirt stuff under the waistband so he wouldn't lose it. It didn't take him long to find a BAS Merchant Vessel. Never the one to wait for an invitation, he naturally brought his smaller vessel close enough so that he could get onto the bigger ship. Having climbed aboard rather silently, as was part of his skill set, he took his glasses off and hung them from his waistband. Don't wanna lose those, he thought as he took in his surroundings with a smile. He did spot someone, he had to assume it was the person who wanted to meet with the unreputable side of the business. "A little injured aren't you?", he asked with a coy smile as he yawned, stretching the you out a little longer than he would've liked too. He hoped she wouldn't get jump and try to shoot him, he couldn't help it if getting somewhere quietly was something he had to do in his particular line of work, especially when deals go south. "I'm the representative of our... mutual friends.", he greeted her with a bow, obviously referring to the nature of his side of the work for Barrel Action Stocks. "They'd like to extend their congratulations for the promotion, do you like fruit baskets?", he asked jokingly, wanting to see what kind of person she was. |

It was a pleasant day, and a pleasant sight as the man she had scheduled an appointment with seemed to come aboard her ship rather post-haste. She was a little surprised at the speed of which he met up with her, but was definitely not going to complain about it. It also seemed like he shared the same feeling that this was a good beach-wear day as the man was sporting brightly colored swimming trunks, to which he had a multitude of things hanging off of. She tipped her hat upwards as she listened to the man who had quite the imposing voice. The man didn't seem to fit the physical body and dress of a black market dealer, but she wasn't one to judge, being a monkey-god after all. She smirked deviously as he noted her wound. "I'm not your typical merchant you could say." She snickered through her teeth as she hopped up and her tail promptly swung onto her shoulder, resting on her side. "And don't be so cautious. No one dressed like you would be stupid enough to be a raider, pirate, ect. Too many people in their own category would make fun of them. But us business folk understand its relaxation clothes." She said waving her hand in a sarcastic manner as she pointed to Grapefruit on the little stand she had next to her sun-bathing chair and paperwork. She looked over to the man and motioned to the vodka. "Shot of Jalapeno Vodka?" She asked casually as she pulled another chair up from the side of the ship and sat it next to her stand, on the other side of said stand. "Even if you don't want some." She pried quickly. "Between me and you. Hate most fruit, but if its full of peppers I'm down." She laughed as she poured herself and him a shot out of respect, and downed it quickly, savoring the burn. She was quiet on the matter as she set her paperwork under her chair in a small bag, before turning to the man. "So being promoted and all that. I was looking to pick your mind." She said as she clapped her hands together and looked at the man with a devious smile. "You wouldn't happen to know the profit margin of our black market dealings would you?" She said, not asking the question she really needed to ask, but it was a process. You don't just open up with the whole, lets kill our boss. In a conversation. "I'm interested in the future of our company, and that means in all directions. Whether it be our labeled marine gear, or our wiped off the line dealings, knowing our numbers... Well. I'm sure I could increase both of them exponentially through all means." She said slyly as she poured another shot and began to sip on it. |

Not your typical merchant? Are we going to play this game? Plenty of the clientele like to, he thought with a smile as she spoke to him. He found it funny that she had to call him out on how he opened up the conversation, but he simply nodded. He wasn't going to interrupt and point out that there was plenty of people who had the audacity to dress as they wanted in the underworld. "Well, I do think it's a nice day for it. Love the hat by the way.", he said, trying to give her a compliment. He did in fact like the hat, this is not something he would lie about. He frown, raising his hands as the girl grabbed him a chair of his own and before he could respond, had poured a shot for him. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to decline. Alcohol isn't my poison. Yet.", he stated as he took his seat. "Though, I'll admit it does sound like an interesting flavor, and I'll let them know to send you a basket full of peppers instead.", he laughed, imagining what they'd think when he'd inform them the fruit basket would now be a basket of peppers. He did catch her move some papers, thinking little of it though. He couldn't imagine that an executive called him out to talk about papers alone. It wasn't their style to do so. "Pick my mind? Not sure how much you'll find in there.", he joked about it, rolling his eyes at his own terrible sense of humor. When she inquired about the profit margin of his side of the business, he laughed. It was loud, though short. Bring a fist against his chest, he coughed. Slowing his breathing and stifling his laughter, he looked to her. "I know they're good, I don't look at the numbers unless they're relevant to the deal.", he stated, laying back in the chair and crossing his legs. His heads rested on his stomach as he closed his eyes, hearing his sunglasses hit the deck of the ship. "That being said, a lot of us are dissatisfied." He paused before he'd continue. It was weird to admit that there was some of them who didn't like the person leading. "We don't always have full control over who we're meeting up with, what the deals are and what kind bargaining we're allowed to go along with. A few of us have turned up dead recently and I've had a few close calls as well.", he sighed, his teeth grinding together as he spoke, clearly speaking out of anger yet he seemed relaxed. "That bastard sitting at the top is slowly dropping our black market dealings.", he informed her, wondering just how she'd react to hearing it. Wondering if she'd stand with what she had said about increasing the numbers. |

Danny smirked as the man made a comment about her hat, and she tipped it casually with that sly grin of a saleswoman, as she took his shot and set it next to hers that she was casually sipping on to pass the time. The heat of the vodka emanating from her body like a furnace. "More for me, there is no worries there trunks." Danny said with a smile, already deciding the mans nickname to her. Danny was actually hoping that the company would send her a basket full of peppers, that would be a nice bonus to being the soon to be head of BAS. "A lady's job is to pry the minds of men, is it not?" Danny scoffed, the gender barrier nonexistant to a woman like her. This mans laugh was both booming and gone in an existent, truly a strange combination for such a laugh, but Danny was not phased by the oddity, as she herself... Well wasn't the most normal of people either. He seemed to know they were good but not exact numbers which is exactly what she wanted. He added that they were dissatisfied as of late with the big ol boss. That was exactly the words she wanted to her, a dark grin filled her face, emanating a sense of dark justice. She still had that luck running to her full extent. Danny sat sideways on the chair and leaned towards the man. "Well. I'm sure as mutual friends... I could drive that profit margin almost ten-fold... Maybe more." She downed both shots and stood up and spun towards the man. As she spun she shape-shifted into a spitting image of the boss, just with a tail and longer tongue, but she had the tail tucked away into the pant leg and wrapped around her leg. She made a jovial laugh, as she began to switch between random people. This is the first person she intentionally shape-shifted her body and not just her clothes to. "I have a proposition that everyone at that company is going to love... Would you be down for a profitable... Coup?" She said, her plan was not necessarily a coup but more so... A replacement. Becoming the body double and going over the share-holders completely. If she got her approval from the black market side of this she had the next piece of the puzzle. "I'll take his spot, and the black market gets free run on all of their dealings, with minor influence from me. Big deals could turn to bad deals after all. And I mean very minor. Like the occasional no to a black market dealer trying to sell marked gear. So I'll mark you down for a yes, right Trunks?" She said as she slowly reverted her random body parts back into her bathing suit, spinning around and relaxing in her chair once more. |

He had listened to what she had to say. It was quite the proposition to be offered. Though Aries wanted to be shocked about the deal she had offered, he was much more surprised at how she was able to mimic the appearance of the CEO. She even offered the deal to him in her altered state of appearance. It felt unreal, yet something within the realm of possibilities. Not her changing, but the deal of course. There wasn't a lot in Barrel Action Stocks looking out for the black market dealers, and Aries would gladly improve that aspect of his job. But he wasn't quite the type to foolishly agree without putting his own foot forward to keep the door open. He'd get himself a better slice of this place if he could, after all he knew the situation of the illegal activities better than she did, and it would be ideal to have someone to blame should the Marines discover the betrayal. He was sure she'd at least appreciate that, not that he'd even bother mentioning it. He'd make efforts to cut ties and delve deeper into the underworld before he'd take the blame for someone he couldn't quite trust yet. At the very least, I do run the risk of a knife sliding ever so slowly into my back. On the other hand having the power to pull all the strings around our illegal activities without interference is something I'd kill for, he noted to himself. He was sure that she was going to kill the CEO, but he knew that her intent was to masquerade as him by the sounds of what she said and her questionable ability to morph her appearance. Opposing her would be foolish, cementing myself as a valuable asset is the best route possible, he considered. Giving a sigh, he decided that he would try to get a little more power for himself out his this plan. "You have my attention.", he told her as she shifted back. "Also, please never look like him again. It's not a good look for you at all.", Aries joked, still a little unnerved about the entire shift. "There's just one problem, our dealers don't have a, I suppose you could say a manager.", he told her, shifting his position to sit upright and face her. Reaching down for his sunglasses, he frowned. "I think we both know that I'd like a foothold over the others. Give me that too, and I'll ensure the black market dealers of BAS fall into step.", he spoke, sliding his glasses back on with a smirk. He had wondered if she'd be willing to grant any single person power over the black market dealers, most of whom were on the freelance side of things and only really answered to the CEO. "We'll even bury the body.", he chimed out, trying to make it seem like incentive. |

Danny listened to the mans quarrel it was clear he was very interested in the plan, and Danny was especially interested with the mans initiative. He clearly was a capable business man such as herself... So much so that he asked for executive head over the dark branch of BAS. Unapposed by the other dealers, a monopoly of power. He was essentially sticking a nice knife mark right on his back should his constituents get too angsty, but that was not a problem for Danny. The problem was what this mans solution was going to solve. "Well BAS is long overdue for a Dark Manager I would say. Congratulations on your promotion trunks, do you like fruit baskets?" Danny said jokingly, agreeing to the situation that was presented before her. In fact that was something she was hoping was going to happen as it was an unsolved mess within that dark underground, and she was going to have her hands far too full running the light side. Danny made sure to switch back to her original look as she reached for her jalapeno vodka, and twisted the cap back onto it. "I've never shown the massive shape-shifting side of my power to the world yet, so sadly I'll have to take that fat asses body a few more times to serve as a mantle... Until I can promote a certain up and coming merchant girl, with a great track record of sales, who also just so happens to be a strong willed Mythical Zoan user." Danny gloated in full force, as she looked over to the man in a more serious manner with her one eye. "I'm going to be keeping his body, preserved in a cryo-stasis of sorts, so it can later be discovered in a horrific vacation-based accident." Danny went on as she looked up to the sky. "Consider yourself a Share-holder trunks. My first stop is going to be an island to meet a distraction force for the initial assassination, and then... Well after payments go through, paperwork shifts to the right hands... He dies. BAS will suffer heavily in the distraction, but it will be destroyed in such a way that it comes out rising like a phoenix. Destroy the bad seeds, in a targeted chaotic mess. The building will suffer yes... But the scar will heal the flesh into leather." Danny was thinking three steps ahead, but pulling back a bit she took a deep breath. "I'm going to be looking for more Share-holders as well. I have a few in mind that can be outlying contacts... But I'm unsure on their current goals not aligning with the companies. I'll keep you updated on that though." Danny said, priding herself on her punctual paperwork timings. She urged the black market dealer off of her ship afterwards as she had an important meeting in Nowhere that she couldn't be late for. After thanking him for his time, she told him that she would get with him asap on any changes of information. They were in it together now, and she would definitely use that any way she could.
