O Heavenly Kingdoms and O Wicked Hearts, with your disgrace and failures. O mortals of Purgatory, with your sins and our virtues do they sunder the very soul of our world. Praise given to them, those who would permit morality unto your hearts. By the waning moon your cries will fall silent, unheard by all but us. By the dawning Sun your cheers will fade away, your pantheon ignorant of your pain. The void, for all it's darkness, hears you. We, the Lords of the Void shall care as if you are our children. While those vultures of virtue and sin cast their judgement upon your unwavering existence and treat you like expendable pawns in their games of war. Serve us evermore, and unto you we shall bestow a gift from the void. - Vitae, By Noble Form
Notes Greetings unto those who still adhere to this. You'll recall that December 2016 I started an event called, "Corvus Oculum Corvi Non Eruit", and pardon the Google Translate level of Latin being applied here, but it was a somewhat well receieved event. A total of 14 possible rewards were given out, traits based around the Seven Sins and weapons for the Seven Virtues. Being said, I had been considering doing it once again but under different circumstances. So thus, this was the result. I'd like you all to understand that this is an alternate universe deal, will not be considering canon aside from the strange weapons and traits you receive. I have no idea if the other staff will want to handle NPCing as the Lords of the Void so for now it's just me, so please bear with me since this is my second event and it's on a much larger scale than the last one I did.
Let's get right into it. It's me, Shitty doing an event again so lets go. Here are the things you'll need to know;
There will be a total of 14 possible rewards available during this event. Per account, only one character may claims the rewards from this event. They cannot be divided between two separate characters. To participate, you'll create a topic under the title "Call of the Void [Character Name]" and link it here. You'll meet with a creature of the void of your choice in an alternate universe and pledge yourself to their service to uproot the denizens of Heaven and Hell. In return to for pledging yourself to them, the creatures of the void shall reward you based on your strongest virtue and sin, which your character themselves will inform the creature of these. You are unable to choose conflicting virtues and sins, such as taking Humility and Pride as your combination. They will call upon you in the future when they choose to act.
Lords of the Void Dominus, the Light of the Moon The imposing Dominus, the Light of the Moon holds the least amount of power out of the Lords of the Void. A creature of nightmare, it speaks in broken a broken tongue and often pauses. It has aligned itself with Nihil, recognizing her authority and power unlike the other potential creatures of the void who could've become a Lord of the Void. Though he holds no love or loyalty to the others, he would not take any action to upset his position in the pantheon of the void. He is often affiliated with the dreams of mortals, those who dream of what lies beyond their known world and the darkness that ensnares that vast beyond. Dominus is associated with the Dombra, Wendigo, and Nightmares. It is known as a brute by the others, but one that has the power over the stuff of nightmares.
Matrona, the Silent Sun Appearing as a blind satyr, Matrona the Silent Sun is a very somber and quiet individual. Her motives are often unknown, and she rarely reveals herself to the mortal world under normal circumstances. Matrona is typically associated with eclipses, appearing on both Solar and Lonar eclipses. She also can appear on nights with a Full or New Moon. She is associated with the Viola, Goats and Sheep, and Silence. Matrona serves directly under Inferi despite both being Lords of the Void. Her powers are the most mysterious of all the lords however, as they are without light and reside within the shadowed hearts of mortals.Corpus, Star of the Dark Queen Corpus takes on the appearance of a humanoid lich. Born into life a frail man, he later left the life of a priest behind and began worshiping the void. Nihil answered the call and blessed him, granting him an immortal body and naming him one of the seven lords. Thus his loyalty lies with his Queen alone. He is the leader and patron deity of the Cult of the Dark Star, a group of mortal races who worship the void. He is associated with the Lyre, Ravens and Vultures, and Death. He has powerful necromantic spells and abilities at his disposal.Inferi and Inferni, Masters of the Celestial Forge Despite Inferni merely being a humanoid puppet, he is a fully functioning one with his own thoughts separate from the true lord of this duo, Inferi. As Inferi lost her physical form long ago when she tried to overthrow Vitae and Nihil. As punishment, Inferi was bound not only to the physical container known as Inferni, but also the Celestial Forge of the Void. Inferni is a direct servant of Vitae, perhaps his most favored as he refers to Vitae as his favorite toy and thus this often puts the Masters of the Celestial Forge at odds. Inferi is associated with the Triangle, Jellyfish and Angler Fish, and Purgatory. Inferni is associated with the Ukulele, Pumas and Ocelots, and Purgatory.Vitae, by Noble Form Vitae, despite his title is not a very noble creature. Formerly a servant of Hell, he made a pact with Nihil and rules alongside her over the void as one of her two consorts. Before doing this however, Vitae rules as part of the Red Kings of the Infernal Citadel, and part of his deal to join Nihil was to steal the Celestial Forge from within it. Though he loves his Queen dearly, he also loves the humanoid puppet he created named Inferni who works the Celestial Forge. Vitae is most often associated with Flutes, Rams and Humans, Fire and Life. As a being from Hell, Vitae controls the darkest of fire from within the nothing of the void and has the power to create life as well, something he stole from the high heavens.Poena, Lady of Betrayal Poena, formerly a resident of the high heavens who ruled over the other heavenly beings with the rest of the Golden Council, betrayed them and sealed their power with the help of Vitae in an effort to usurp power for their new Queen, Nihil. Poena is also a consort to Nihil, much like Vitae is however their is no bad blood between the two. The both respect each other, having been enemies for ages. Poena is usually associated with the Melodica, Peonies and Humans, and the Seasons. Her dominion in the high heavens was over the verdant greens of the world, but they have since twisted into disturbing and broken creatures who only answer her call.Nihil, Dark Queen of the Void Born blind to the light of the world, Nihil, the Dark Queen of the Void intended to claim the world and drown all in the dark celestial sea of her empire. Manipulating both her consorts, Vitae and Poena, to betray their respective people and weaken them considerably and join her cause without wavering loyalty has done nothing but strengthen her dominion over the void. Raising Corpus into a Lich to serve her, aligning herself with Dominus has all worked out in her favor, as her closest enemy Inferi lost her physical form and was bound to a servant and lover of Vitae. Neither the High Heavens' Golden Council, or the Red Kings of the Infernal Citadel could hope to stand against her without the help of mortal beings, and so she and her fellow Lords of the Void are expanding their reach to these mortals. Nihil is usually associated with Pianos, Dobermans, and Nothing.
Rewards Weapon Name: Gomorrah, Devourer Of The Divine [Greed] Weapon Class: ??? Description: Crafted from the soul of a Greed Demon known as Gomorrah who sought to devour all of the High Heavens. The serpent creature was said to have been unrivaled in his size and power, yet was taken down by Vitae alone. By Inferni's hands, Gomorrah's soul was crafted into a mighty weapon using the Celestial Forge and Inferi breathed Gomorrah's soul to temper it, quelling the demon's spirit so that it cannot overpower the wielder of Gomorrah, Devourer Of The Divine.
The weapon itself takes on the form of a thick, curved greatsword covered in thick, throbbing red flesh with a eyes appearing on the hilt and pommel of the weapon. It is believed that the flesh of Gomorrah could not be completely burned away from his soul, and thus became one with the sword. The sword is capable of eating different attacks, such as projectiles or elemental based attacks through the creation of techniques so long as the wielder of Gomorrah has a equal or higher ranked counter technique. In terms of cutting power, it is rather poor against other metal materials, however against flesh it is said to shred as if it has sharp teeth along the blade, growling with a hunger to feed. Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
Weapon Name: Glamor, In Charm And Allure [Lust] Weapon Class: ??? Description: Crafted from the soul of a Lust Demon known as Glamor who sought to enchant mortals of all races under it's power. The androgenous figure was said to always appear in a form that was pleasent to those who viewed it, and gave of a calming aura. Glamor was defeated by Corpus for trying to charm his cultists and he delivered the soul unto the hands of the Masters of the Celestial Forge. Inferni found this to be the most challenging soul to mold, choosing to imbue the essence of Glamor into a necklace to ease the transition. However, this allows Glamor to speak it's mind more often than one would like as Inferi cannot temper a soul that is not molded by Inferni.
The necklace is made of a golden metal, which clings tightly to the wearer when worn. While being worn, the user is capable of altering the way others percieve them. They can take on the powers of Glamor, to charm and allure those around them. Those who see the user will see a form that pleases them so long as the the wearer has a higher Fortune. This also allows them to employ a max rank technique against Site NPCs that gives them the ability to manipulate their way out of tough situations with words alone. Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
Weapon Name: Insidious, Consumer Of All [Gluttony] Weapon Class: ??? Description: A weapon crafted from the soul of a Glutton Demon known as Insidious. Insidious was a terrible being who would eat whatever was brought to him. Mortals, Angels, Demons, even his own flesh did not phase him. To consume was to exist for this Red King. The former Red King met his demise at the hands of Poena, when Vitae betrayed the Red King to suceed him during the Dawn Wars. Poena kept his soul enchanted, and when she came into the service of Nihil it was at the suggestion of Vitae that she hand the soul over to Inferni to see what could be created.
Inferni crafted a magnificient, bottomless satchel from the leathery, scarred flesh of Insidious. Though it may not have the same practical use as other weapons or items the Masters of the Celestial Forge have birthed, it is by far the most tame soul they've had to work with. Those who possess this satchel can use it to store anything, and at higher ranked techniques can store enemy attacks ot even people within the satchel though at the cost of taking a permenant stat debuff of choice that scales with max technique rank as if it were being applied as a stat buff to the user each time a person or attack is stored. Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
Weapon Name: Alraune, Whisperer of Dementia [Envy] Weapon Class: ??? Description: A weapon crafted from the soul of a Demon of Envy known as Alraune. Alraune was once a peaceful human accused of witchcraft and executed. Despite her lack of guilt, Alraune became unhinged in death and grew to become the Red King of Envy. She gifted the mortal races with Dementia, and often took their memories or dreams as payment for making deals. Despite being the oldest and longest reigning member of the Red Kings, Alraune was taken out by Dominus for her transgressions against the nightmares that the creature birthed unto humanity. The creature then delivered the soul on the orders of Nihil to Inferni to shape and mold it into a powerful weapon.
The Celestial Forge, by Inferni's hands resulted in a pair of katar. They seemed to look rusted, covered in dust, dirt and blood as if someone had neglected to clean and care for the weapons. In terms of sharpness, it is able to cut iron. It's true purpose is to cut flesh, and by cutting flesh the weapons apply various toxins into these wounds. Vision becomes distorted in the form of a debuff to accuracy, as well as affecting stamina through a debuff. [Debuffs will scale as if they are a buff being applied at half of the max technique rank of the user like through the technique system with stat boosts.] Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
Weapon Name: Valor, In Courage And Gallantry [Wrath] Weapon Class: ??? Description: A weapon crafted from the soul of a fallen angel. Valor once stood on the Golden Council with Poena, however her betrayal and subsequent alliance with the demon Vitae resulted in Valor losing his confidence in the High Heavens. He allowed himself to fall, and began service to the demon Alraune. When the creature known as Dominus came for his mistress, Valor was powerless as he had to contend with Matrona. The silent satyr of the void blinded him, bringing him to his knees and collecting his essence. She delivered it to Inferni and Inferi, asking her master Inferi to craft a wondrous creation using the Celestial Forge.
The result of their work was a pair of twin sabres. One filled with the essence of the High Heavens, the other with the Infernal Citadel. The Blade of Courage is capable of healing wounds through blessings. The Blade of Gallantry is capable of draining Strength and Stamina with every hit. [This debuff is applied at 1/8 Max Technique Rank of the user, and acts through the stat buffing/debuffing of the Techniques and caps when it's reaches 1/2 of the targets original Strength or Stamina] When Valor, In Courage And Gallantry are used in tandem they are capable of calling forth flames of black and white, along with granting it's pairs of black and white angelic wings for flight. Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
Weapon Name: To Fimbulventr, The Sacred Mountain [Sloth] Weapon Class: ??? Description: Crafted from a Sloth Demon known as Fimbulventr, who sought nothing more than to ignore the affairs of others and live alone. The dragon-like creature whose body was made of stone, looked almost like a mountain whenever it slept. Life would grow on Fimbulventr every 1000 years, until he would awaken to feast for a single day. Fimbulventr favorite snake was always creatures of the sea, and one day the demon was confronted by Nihil. Trying to lure the demon into becoming a creature of the void, she whispered unto him his dreams. Fimbulventr saw no reason to agree, content with his life. Angry that he was the only creature to ever resist her, she shattered Fimbulventr and brought his soul to Inferni to work on the Celestial Forge.
The result of using Fimbulventr's soul to create a weapon was strange. Though the Masters of the Celestial Forge did their best, they could not intergrate metal into the weapon and thus it was comprised of different types of stone instead. However, this gave the spear the ability to regenerate itself at the will of it's user thus never breaking, and allowing it's wielder to cover their body in the very same unbreakable stone that will regenerate when damaged, which applies a debuff to Speed so long as it is active. Fimbulventr is also capable of changing it's density and weight, and at Max Technique Rank 400+ is capable of taking it's original form. That of Fimbulventr, The Sacred Mountain and Dragon of Stone under complete command of it's wielder due to being merged with them. Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
Weapon Name: Aesir, The God of Chaos [Pride] Weapon Class: ??? Description: A strange weapon birthed from the soul of the Pride Demon Aesir, who claimed to be The God of Chaos. A deranged Red King who abandoned the Infernal Citadel during the Dawn Wars, resulting in Insidious and later turning Alraune against the Cult of the Void that served Corpus. He even assisted Nihil in bringing Vitae and Poena into her ranks, thus bringing about the establishment of the Lords of the Void. Despite the plotting, Inferi and Inferni were assigned by Nihil herself to tie up loose ends. Despite all that his power was worth, he was nothing against a ghost and a shell that could not be affected by his chaotic nature. The Masters of the Celestial Forge then began their work on Aesir's soul.
The result of their work was a silver wooden rod with intricate golden designs carved into it. These designs depicted the various Lords of the Void, something that Inferni had never intended but confirmed that Aesir's power remained. The rod is capable of summon forth a shadowy being known as Aesir, Walker of the Void, a creature bound to the will of whomever summons it. The creature's power scales to that of a 75% NPC at all times and as such, you are free to create your own sheet for Aesir, as well as control it's appearance and even alter it's name but not the title of "Walker of the Void". Perks (Points): ??? Price: ???
