Jerky Enthusiast (? Traits) - Jerky Enthusiast allows you to ask a Mod to NPC a monster, and upon defeating said monster you may harvest its jerky for special properties agreed on before the fight. For example if you wish to hunt a monster for a "Regenerative Type Jerky" your NPCer sets up a monster with applied strengths for you to hunt. Upon completion of the hunt the npcer awards the user of this with a quantity they deem worthy of meat that they can use for future threads, and give out. Effects of said jerky can range from having purifying effects, to possible "water breathing", or elemental breath attacks. Of course all of these must be earned by defeating the monster and collecting from said monsters.

Would you need techniques to gain the effects of the gained Jerky meats? Also the strength of the abilities gained from the jerky would probably need to be a set strength imo.

No they would be under consumable weaponry and the set parameters would all be case by case with the npcer in mind. The applied strengths should reflect the difficulty of the monster hunted

the most clarification I can give for the cut and dryness of it is really an example.

Let's say I want you to NPC pops. I say the desired jerky effect I want is when I eat it I am allowed to produce a cone of flame from my mouth after consuming it that is equal to lets say a rank 40 technique with a fire weapon. You then create a monster for me to fight for his "Spicy Jerky" and if I am successful in slaying the beast you award me an amount you deem alright for quantity on the jerky. In the case of a rank 40 fireball that is consumable and only recharges if I hunt another one, I would say probably 7-10 uses of the jerky would be good, or more depending if I do some crazy feat like slay a ton of them.

So, the power is set on the monster hunted to make the jerky. The amount is a set amount which I think would be good to set at 10 uses since you have to rehunt it EACH time you run out, so it makes it a topic heavy resource over all. It should just be noted that all the effects from the jerky could be weaker than say a Devil fruit or whatever's power naturally.

Also maybe tweak it around a bit to where its not just any jerky you make and it be more off a Gourmet Style race. That way anyone getting the jerky doesn't get the over the top effects such as breathing fire or whatever. Maybe have the minor powered jerky such as minor healing/regeneration jerky be something usable by others outside of the race.


Edit: Ignore my second paragraph since I was completely unaware of what was desired with this.

A - Jerky Effects have to be Mod approved before the hunt even starts.
B - You only get a limited supply per hunt, so it means constant rehunting, which takes time and effort.
C - Obviously weaker than Devil Fruit, most ultimate weapon abilities or even some witch stuff.
D - All effects are temporary.

I'd say slap a 3 trait cost on it and see how it goes personally.
