The afternoon sun was slowly starting to set in the sky above the city of Shyang. From the docks, one could see a Marine ship alongside boats of many kinds, though far less impressive in nature. From further away, you could see a single boat standing still, floating on the waters nearing the island. It was turned sideways, seeming to have been deliberately turned away from the island at the very last minute. The ship was huge, almost city-like in nature, and many a folk from the island were currently staring at it, impressed at how big this thing was.

Velvet, her, was on the docks, just near the Marine ship that was previously mentioned. She was currently simply staring at her ship and the docks as a whole, trying to see if there were any damages that had been caused by either the town-wide ship. From the looks of it, it seemed absolutely nothing had been done to the island; however, to reassure the civilians of the island, she told them to stay away from the docks until the ship was absolutely clear of any hostility. It had now been five minutes since this order expired and Velvet allowed the civilians to use their docks again.

At the current time, there were many soldiers of the Matrix squad who were roaming around the docks, watching over the civilians and thus nearing the large and immense ship. Velvet was still shocked at how huge this thing was. So much so, that she almost took an entire day after the ship was secured to figure out what was the history that lied beyond the tragedy that caused this situation. This took her some time and she was able to eventually understand what happened, but such talk is currently irrelevant and so she kept her mouth shut. No need to make this post any bigger.

After she finished conversing with her soldiers who told her once more that there was nothing to report (she had told them to do so at an interval per one hour and thirty minutes), Velvet stared at the large ship once more, then sighed as she looked back to her own ship. Even now, she was still surprised that all of this madness has been caused by Nezuel, of all people she could possibly think of. She could tell it was him, but, somehow, he has become some kind of crazed Vampire. The circumstances in which he became this way are still quite unknown to her, but it was enough for her to stay up during the night near the bed he was given to try to understand what happened. He was currently staying on the city-wide ship, chained and shackled with Seastone, and guarded by many soldiers. For now, it seems he is still unconscious... and so she will leave it at that.

"I shall suppose you are Rear-Admiral Falcone?"

A man's voice, deep and soothing and calm, would ring beside her. Blinking out of her deep thoughts, the redhead looked to her right to see that a man in yellow and beige robes was now standing near her. His skin was of a deep charcoal and his eyes as green as emeralds. His head was bald and he looked fairly aged, though, at first glance, not enough to be considered too old by any standards. The man was currently smiling to her with great kindness, kindness so strong that Velvet almost felt forced to reply to his question:

"Why yes, I am. To be honest, though, you can drop the "Rear-Admiral" thing. Just call me Velvet."

The man's smile widened then, and so, he bowed in respect, a symbol of peace and ancient traditions.

"We are all honoured to meet the hero of our land. Without you, our entire city would have perished under the might of the creature of steel. I am forever in your debt."

The man's stance straightened once more, and he talked with that smile still kept on his face:

"My name is Tianshi. I am the one who is responsible for the well-being of our city alongside many others. It is a great pleasure to meet you."

Velvet would stare back at the man with a smile. It was hard to not smile to this guy: he looked like the absolute typical old martial artist master, and he truly seemed as though he was very thankful for what she did for his city.

"It is a pleasure to meet you too, Tianshi."

Vincent was making his way back to the Gokaigers as fast a possible, he has barely managed to escape captured from Vel but this was the plan if James was to be captured. The fight between Vel and James didnt seem to last long, Vel was way out of their league but it was needed, James had looked up to her since first learning of the scientist marine from the paper. Vincent had escaped by a hares breath and onto a merchant ship that was just heading out, he hid inside the freezer of the kitchen. He hoped that James, as well as the others were going to be alright but he knew that they were going to be, James was very smart and always had a plan.

James set in a cell, his one and only hand was shackled around his waist with what seemed to be seastone, which sucked, but he was able to use his legs at least to an extent, they were shackled as well but they were long enough to walk but not really do any kicking. He laughed widely as he looked about and around him, to look about the cells that were near him. There were 5 total cells, right next to each other, James was in the middle, to his right set Asa and to his right set Zero, both were shackled like him. He smiled, nodding to them, both nodded back and to his left set a very short man, a dwarf, he was shackled the same as them, but the dwarf was out cold. James laughed and noticed the two guards standing in front of his cell, only 2 really? James was slightly insulted by this, "Just 2 of you huh? Well when i break out of here i shall make sure to go easy on yall" He laughed evilly. The 2 guards standing here were twins, they both very bulky, with same brown hair and hair cut, they both wore the standard marine outfit, but one carried a large spear and the other had a large sword on his back. They both just turned their heads and looked at each other with a smile, the one with the spear spoke first, "Good thing you will never escape, not shut up while we wait to see what happens to you lot.". James just looked at them and laughed widely, he really didn't have a plan this time but to relax and wait for the opportunity to present himself. He set back and waited fro Asa and Zero to finally wake and see how this would play out.

As Velvet and Tianshi conversed near the ship, the redhead would learn more and more about the current situation of the city of Shyang. For what it was worth, the city was absolutely fine as is and it was absolutely thanks to her help. Should the ship she intercepted had ever actually crashed into the island, it would have been a complete humanitarian catastrophe to deal with and the World Government would have not been pleased.

The longer they spoke, the more Velvet learned about the island. She did know a little bit about what this island was about, but a lot of the knowledge she had gained was mostly off-screen and so, it was a little bit less important to know about. From what she could gather from Tianshi's words, the island is a place of legends and meditation, a perfect place for monks to come discover more about both themselves and the world that surround them. It is a thing that Velvet can definitely respect, but, as a woman of science, she is unfortunately not entirely able to believe in the legends all of these men and women believe in. Meditation, however? Sure thing. Meditation is the best damn way to relax, after all. Tianshi, too, agreed with her on that part.

Eventually, Tianshi brought up Nezuel:

"It is to my attention that there was something on the creature of steel that almost obliterated our land. I have heard... terrible rumours... Sayings of a monster thirsty for blood. Is this true, Velvet?"

The atmosphere around them then grew less casual and a little bit more serious. Velvet had stared at the man in silence for a moment, as if she had been lost for words, and her eyes had grown a little sad. However, soon enough, she was back to her usual image of seriousness, the kind all officers should sport when talking to important civilians such as Tianshi.

"There was indeed somebody on the ship. We're currently trying to understand what has made him decide to do what he has done. The rumours are false, however. Don't believe them."

They were not false: the rumours were entirely true. Whatever happened to Nezuel still completely eludes Velvet. To turn from a respected man to... such a bloodthirsty monster just sickens her. All she can understand from the situation concerning him is that the man that he has suddenly turned into isn't the man she once knew, and that has to be somehow resolved as soon as possible before they lose control over his custody.

In any case, it seemed Tianshi was relieved by Velvet's words and grew less tense. He regained his kind smile and nodded to the officer in a polite manner.

"I understand. Very well, then. You and your troops are free to remain on our peaceful island as long as you wish. We shall give you all the food and water you need. If you need my help, I shall be at my office in town."

"Thank you."

And with that, they bid their farewells and Tianshi left the docks to get back to his office. Velvet, her, simply stared at the town for a moment before letting out a sigh and getting back on the ship. All the while, her eyes remained on the other, much larger ship she had stopped. She wanted to go and take a look at Nezuel again, seeing as he was currently guarded by her men on the ship all shackled with Seastone to make sure he would not murder any one of her troops, but she had better things to do.

Among those things, for example, was the prisoners she currently had on Velvet's ship. She did not deal with their punishment yet, instead simply leaving them there for the time being. Should Nezuel's case have not happened so abruptly, she would have dealt with them sooner. In any case, it was perhaps time to bid them a visit. Gaining her usual semi-closed eyes, the young woman stretched herself and headed for the cells.

She took her time to get there, not feeling herself in any rush whatsoever. She passed by many soldiers who immediately went into a "garde-a-vous" posture the moment they saw them, perhaps still amazed by the combat skills she has shown back when she had to reach the other ship as quickly as possible the other day. Of course, once she got close to the cells, she could already hear a conversation James and the guards she had stationed there. So, naturally, she stumbled into it with her hands in her pockets as she opened the door.

"Yo."

She then walked in front of the cells and stood in front of the bars that separated her from James. She stared at him for a moment, then deadpanned:

"You know, I'm still very disappointed by the fact that you don't actually have more than one Devil Fruit ability. It's the only reason why I fought you so seriously back then."

James set there for a while before he noticed Asa waking up first. As Asa opened his eyes, he jumpped up and looked at James in his cell, "Sir! I have failed to protect you, I have failed my duties and wish to be punished." He said as he started to bow to James, tears coming from his mask as he cried. The guards gave a face to each other and smiled with a light chuckle before facing straight and watching the door. "Asa! Asa! dont worry, we get out soon enough, then you can make it up to me by killing these to guards" James said with a laugh. The guards just chuckled again but this was what James wanted, he was getting a reaction from them, and they may become easy to provoke soon. Asa looked at the guards, he eyed them up and down, trying to size them up to know when barrier would be big enough to kill them both.

"WHAAA!!!" Zero screamed as he woke from his sleep, startling the guards and Asa but James didnt really flinch. "Welcome to the Velvet's Ship of pleasure Zero!" James said with another wicked laugh and a smile. Zero looked at how he was shackled and sighed, "Boss, what do we do? We could easily control these pawns with our minds. and get them to open the cells." Zero said with a laugh as he started to stare at guard with the sword, "Open the cells, Open the Cell" He whispered over and over again. The guards just laughed a little before returning to their positions, ignoring Zero and his stupid antics.

James just laughed and started talking to the guards and they started talking about how, they going to get whats coming and stuff. James laughed but soon the guards stood straight up and saluted as Velvet herself walked in. "Oh, Big Lady here! Its nice to see the higher power come and make your present known to us lesser beings" He laughed before she spoke of him not having multiple Devil Fruits.

"Well. . . . You wouldnt have fought me seriously if I had nothing to interest you with. Now when you going to let me out of here." He smile. The two guards just looked shocked, This captured pirate wasnt scared and even talking normally to their Captian like that, Who the hell was this man. "Ma'am, He has been able to shut up since he woke, may we please restraint their mouths." the big one with the spear said. James just laughed and looked at Velvet, he was standing now, eye to eye with her, he didnt show his fear and he didnt have any.

Unlike the soldiers that Velvet had stationed to guard these people, the redhead wasn't really shocked by James' behaviour. For all she knew about him, this guy was... kind of a special nut-case, to put it bluntly. The others that accompanied him were more or less as immature or as insane as he was, so it was no real surprise for her that the guards were already getting tired of them. One of them even asked her if they could silence them somehow. To that, the redhead simply shrugged.

"I really don't see the point in doing that. They can say whatever they want and threaten us as many times as they want. Behind bars, they shouldn't actually be any danger to you."

She then turned her attention back to James. The guy was now standing right in front of her, staring at her right in the eyes. Right there, Velvet was able to notice immediately that this man did not feel threatened in the slightest by his current situation. There was no fear in his eyes at all, not even a shred of worry. Should it had stopped there, the redhead would have respected him a little bit more.

However, the respect stopped there, for she has also noticed... something else. The man was not angry about his current situation. He was not furious, not wishing to kill Velvet. Perhaps he wanted to, but the thirst for blood just wasn't there. No, this man was just having fun. He was having fun being put behind bars all the while having absolutely no chance of escape as long as he's behind said bars. He could perhaps break the bars right here and then, but Velvet alone can bring him back in the cell before he could even attempt to hit the bars at the moment.

It was insanity. This man was insane. No man should feel pleasure in such a situation. At least, while his little friends are a little goofier, they at least were able to realize what they had put themselves into. This one didn't even seem as though he could do that... and honestly, it was also probably why they even wanted to follow him. Velvet has already dealt with insane people before, so James' attempt at intimidating did not even make her as much as blink, but, for now, her respect could not be raised any further.

"To answer your question, I'm not really planning to get you out of here any time soon. You have attempted to assassinate me for no other reason than simply wanting to meet me. If I refer myself to the general laws we currently uphold, attempted murder - on a Rear Admiral, no less - is just enough for you and your friends to be sent to Impel Down. You're lucky you're even going there: any other officer would have sentenced you to execution on the spot. Hell, you're even luckier that I asked for your wound to be closed before you died of blood-loss."

She then crossed her arms and sighed.

"So, once we leave this island, we will be heading to Marineford. You will then be given to the authorities and they will handle your case from then on. You'll have plenty of people to fight while you're in jail, I'm sure."

James laughed at Velvet and looked at this 2 partners next to him, then back to velvet, he didnt have any fear showing still, he wasnt scared. "How about you let those 2 go. They didnt do anything and i will take all of their charges too?" James said, if Velvet looked into his eye, she would be able to tell that he was serious and could almost see sadness for his friends. A few seconds would pass before he laughed at her and feel back onto the floor, looking up into the ceiling.

Zero and Asa looked at James and how he would take all of their charges, both of them jumpping up to look at Velvet while James laid on his back, "Hell no! I will take my own charges. I followed James on my own! i will Never leave the bosses Side!" Asa spoke first as he screamed, he didnt have any fear in his eyes now and stared right at Velvet. "Same! I will take my charges as well. I follow boss to the end" Zero Shouted next and he didnt show any fear in his eyes as well. James laughed as he laid there, "These Idiots are crazy, but i trust them with my life!" He spoke highly of them

James listened to Velvet talk about how he would be sent to Impel Down, about how she was nice and get to fight people in prison. "Thank you for Healing my wound as well as Impel Down sounds like fun, bet there any geniuses like me there? I can surely help you Velvet, we both geniuses just took 2 different paths." He spoke softly and almost like a sane person for one.

Velvet was not surprised to hear that, although James wanted his friends to be liberated from their shackles so he could serve their sentences on his own, his companions still wanted to remain at his side, even if they are both soon about to head towards one of the very worst possible places you could ever be in this world. The redhead found this touching: even though they are clearly not of the brightest bunch, they are at least loyal to their leader.

Really, it only makes this James Burk even more dangerous than he truly is. Though the Automata really couldn't follow somebody as insane as this guy, there's no wonder that he would have easily grouped a bunch of Pirates under his wing to do whatever he wanted without a shred of a thought. People as insane as he is often tend to be very charismatic whenever they want to. Really, it was how the Straw Hats were formed: should the previous Pirate King have not actually been charismatic in the slightest, there was no way he would have been able to do what he did as easily as he conceived it to be.

Nevertheless, despite Velvet's plans to send him straight to Impel Down for what he tried to do, the young man still thanked her for healing his wound and sending him to the prison instead of killing him on the spot. He seemed genuinely happy that he was still alive. However, he then proceeded to ask her if he could actually help her, describing the both of them as geniuses who took two different paths to greatness.

To that, the Automata simply stared back at him with a serious look in a momentary time span of silence. There seemed to be actual genuine honesty in that guy's voice then. For a moment, the redhead almost hesitated on what to do with this man. There was indeed a system, in the Navy, that permitted Pirates and outlaws to become soldiers of the Marines.

But that requires some trust between the officer in charge of the outlaw's progress through the system, and for now, Velvet does not have much of it when it comes to James and friends. It was only natural of her to doubt that this person was going to have any chance at actually helping her without doing anything stupid, seeing as it was very clear that this man wasn't exactly right in the head. At times, it seemed as though she was talking at some kind of overgrown child. Well, that is, an overgrown child that tried to kill her for no valid reason whatsoever.

"For now, I have seen no proof that you could actually help me in my research. You describe yourself as a genius, but, at the moment, I guess that only works for combat. No offence, but, right now, you were only able to convince me that you are quite childish and not much else."

She then turned her back to James and his friends.

"If you somehow gain my trust before we reach Marineford, I'll consider your help as a valid option. However, for now, I have no need for someone who threatens to kill my troops once they are out of their cell."

She walked towards the door with her hands still in her pockets, all the while telling to her guards to make sure they don't go out of their cells. Oh, it is surely going to be a long day for James and the others.

Zero laughed as Velvet walked away from the 4 prisoner, "She got you good Boss!" Zero said with a large smile and set down on the floor. He had just became a pirate and he was already in a cell, with seastone cuffs on but he was very happy, happier then he had ever been. "Boss. . . Question. . . what would happen if your plan doesnt work and she really sends us to impel down?" He asked a little shaky, he was to beautiful for prison and wasnt strong enough for prison at all.

Asa looked at the boy who was worried about the plan failing, "We just improvise and do a different plan to escape, James has tons of plans" Asa spoke as he looked back at sames with a very worried look under is mask, his face still wasnt showing, thanks to Velvet letting him keep his mask/ "Right? Right?"

James laughed at the exchange the 2 friends were having, he heard what Velvat said but he chose to ignore her. he really didnt have a plan now, but it would come to him, she had to change her mind at some point, he could talk to her again tomarrow, it was starting to get late and the guards were changing here and there so never the same guards.

The sun had just gone down, as James was laying against the wall, facing his cell doors and the 2 new guards. He turned to notice the dwarf had moved to a different position which at some point meant that he had gotten up but didnt make a sound, that was very sneaky of him but who was he, he looked like a goat almost.

As Velvet would leave the cell - and therefore the prisoners she had collected within them - behind her wake, she would take a look back towards the door of room containing the cells one last time, stopping as she did so. Her robotic eyes glanced over it in a tired motion, beaming with curiosity. She was stuck there for a moment, staring at the door with an almost uncertain interest.

Though she is a woman that could be considered as cold from the offset, what she has said to James and his friends was pretty much true. As of now, she has absolutely no interest to even think about recruiting him and making him serve under the Navy flag, but there was a glimpse in there that almost made Velvet reconsider it all and at least give him a chance. That glimpse had made that man, that murderer, actually feel... somewhat sympathetic in her eyes. She really could not tell what it was that made her feel this way. Perhaps it was because she needed some sort of assistant to deal with the paperwork again. Either that, or she'll need a test subject for her... other experiments.

In any case, she was not going to deal with that today. All she wanted right now was to simply relax and allow his soldiers to do the same. Well, not those who were watching over Nezuel: those definitely need to stay there to keep him from escaping. So, turning her head away from the doors, she walked off and headed for her room. Once she was there, she closed the door and simply stared at her desk. A rifle was now standing on it, still definitely unfinished.

There was still work that needed to be done.

As the day would progress further away and allow the sun to retreat and let loose the moon above, most of the Marine soldiers that were previously taking care of the ship had gone to sleep, replaced instead by the soldiers that were on their night shifts. Velvet, her, was still working in her quarters and nobody wanted to bother her at the moment. There were still guards patrolling the cells should any of the prisoners dare to try to escape the ship.

The cell area was quite dark at this time of the day. The only thing that lit up the room was a mere light bulb shining from the ceiling next to a chain. The two guards were still very much awake, holding onto their rifles as much as they could. However, no one could blame them for having lost interest into what they were doing and mostly just talking to one another. Most surely, guarding the prisoners is one of the most boring jobs they can be given on the night shift. As such, they did not expect anything to happen during the night.

It was only once they heard metallic noises coming from the hall behind the door that they would stop and frown, now tensing up as they aimed them towards it. They had left the door opened, figuring that it would probably not hurt to actually leave it this way. The problem was that it was completely dark out there safe for a bit of moonlight coming from the windows.

More metallic noises, this time from above. The soldiers frowned and looked up, still seeing nothing. One of them swore underneath his breath, wondering what the hell was going on. He even almost went as far as to ask his comrade if this was some kind of sick joke that he had been planning to spice up the night shift a little. However, before he could even do that, there was a metallic noise that came from the ceiling and both of the soldiers suddenly stopped moving. They then both fell on the floor with two swords sticking out of their foreheads, piercing through their skin, flesh and bone.

There was a rolling noise that came from the hallway, and then, it would appear in front of the prisoners. It was... some kind of robot. It was of a golden color, seemingly humanoid with a rolling sphere underneath its feet. Its head looked left and right constantly, almost as if it was searching for a target as it slowly rolled forward and grabbed the the hilts of the blades that had killed off the two guards. Its head then finally stopped as it glared its beaming blue eyes towards James. The robot rolled towards him, its head stilled as it stared at the jailed Pirate, before it grabbed its swords and savagely put them between the bars of the cell. It then pushed the blades against the bars, forcing it to wince and crack with a loud metallic noise as it continued to stare into James' eyes.

It was like Lady Death had come to him on a mono-cycle. It didn't look pretty. Not at all.

James wasn't asleep like his 2 comrades but this time the dwarf dude was up and setting against the wall, he was staring at James. "How can I help you Stranger?" James said with a laugh and smile. The dwarf looked at the man, eyeing him hard as if James was some kind of weird creature never seen before. "Are you the Pirate known as James Burk?" He said with a very heavy accent. James looked at the man confused, this person he never seen before with horns on his head, knew who he was, who is this person, "Maybe I am, Maybe I'm not, who wants to know." James said with a loud laugh as he looked over the man. "My Name is TurLock K. HellKeg. My Father, Krampus sent me to watch over you, while he plans how to kill you." The dwarf said with a smile. "Well, that bastard really got my letter. I am James Burk. Pleasure to meet you TurLock HellKeg and having you at my side." He laughed as he set there looking at the 2 guards who were bored out of their minds. It was going to be a boring time before they got to marineford, there had to be a way to get out before they reached marineford.

As the night went on, him and Turlock talked, Turlock had explained what he was about and why he had to journey with James. James thought the night would be boring but what happen next was something out of a story. The 2 guards that were watching guard fell to the floor, a sword in each of their foreheads, then from the dark hallway came a creature of metal from the doorway. James eyed the creature up and down, oh this was going to be interesting enough. The robot had pulled his swords from the 2 guards and put them in between the bars of James's Cell and started to bend the bars into an opening. "Well isnt this a great surprise, something to help me escape" James laughed with a huge smile on his face, he wasnt scared in the bit, he had already proven that he wasnt afraid of death and he was just having fun. Something James had noticed was that when the big guard on the left fell, He heard a slight ding hit the floor as some keys hit the floor. James smiled wide as he rolled out of the way of the first and second attack the robot had causes, he rolled right out of the cell, grabbing the keys as he came up. "Shit, This is very interesting! Asa, Zero wake your ass up!" He said as he unlocked the shackles at his feet and as he moved with the strikes of the robot, as he released his hands from the shackles, he was free now and this was about to get interesting.

James had smiled wide as he throw the keys to TurLock, who began unlocking himself as Asa and Zero woke to see the robot fighting with James. James laughed as he grabbed one of the robots arms, twisting it around but the robot seemed to be able to follow as it was back on his feet, this was irritating James very much, as everything James tried the robot seemed to have an answer. "You son of a bitch" James said with a light smirk. "Ope Ope no Mi - Emergency Room" He said as a light blue doom formed around the room, as he laughed as he looked at the robot and then spun his hand around and soon the robots head was in his hand, he looked at the head and laughed before dropping the head on the ground and crushing it with a step. He laughed as he released his roomed and grabbed the robots body and crushing it as well.

Asa, Turlock and Zero stood there outside their cells with a look on their face that screamed amazed. "Boos, That was simply amazing." Zero said with a smile. Asa just stood speechless as Turlock looked at him, he was very happy about finally meeting James. "Ope Ope no Mi - Emergency Room" He said as the dome covered the whole ship, he could sense everything an everyone on the ship, he needed to get them out, there had to be other robots too. "Ope Ope No Mi – Substitution!" He said as the boat filled up with sand, as all the marines on board were teleported outside; However James, Asa, Zero, Turlock, the 2 marines as well as the crushed robot were teleported to Velvet's Room.

James Panted Heavy as he landed in one of the chairs in the room, "Dont Attack! Robots have killed 2 marines and ambushing the Ship!" He said panting really heavy and yelling to velvet. "I got all the marines off the ship." He said with a heavy breath and putting his hands above his head to allow his lungs to breath.

Well, thinking of a robot about to probably try to kill him as mercilessly as possible being a chance to escape his containment was one, perhaps more optimistic way of thought for James to adopt in such a situation. The robot, however, was certainly not going to try to allow him to actually do that. Oh, not at all. In fact, the moment the machine was done pulling the bars away from one another so it could have enough space to enter the jail, it would instantly rush towards James as quickly as possible.

Once it reached the young man, it then raised its blades high in the air before swinging twice towards James. Both swings missed completely as James rolled away with ease that the machine did not seem to expect - thus causing it to be almost left frozen by the realization - and instead hit the wall that was previously behind James, causing the blades to ring loudly across the room. This caused lightly-heard voices coming from the deck upstairs to mumble in surprise, soon followed by footsteps. The cavalry was going to be here soon.

The metallic being rolled around in the cage confusingly, still trying to remain focused on its target, which was still James. It held its blades tight within its metallic grasp and then desperately started swinging its blades from left to right towards James in a messy display of swordsmanship. It did not seem it was built for actual fighting, but instead more so assassination and surprise. No wonder it was having so much difficulty trying to dispatch only but one single target after it has been seen.

Of course, this disgusting swordsmanship led it to nowhere, and all of its hits would land on nothing but air. All of its hits missed with all of them absolutely overpowered by James' speed, and so, unsurprisingly, the young man had enough time to use the keys that had fell from one of the fallen guards to free all of the other prisoners from their restraints.

Eventually, James caught on to the robot's patterns and got a hold of the metallic being's arms before he then spun the robot around. The machine stumbled, definitely taken by surprise from this maneuver, but it was left completely unfazed and back in a clear position. It immediately then tried to raise its free blade to lunge its sword straight towards James' throat.

However, before it would have the time to do so properly, it would instantly freeze in complete confusion once its logistics suddenly went from being located in front of James' body to in front of James' face. The robot's soulless blue eyes stared at James almost confusingly, its systems trying to figure out what happened. Either way, it definitely was having a hard time figuring out what was happening, and it was the chance James needed to finish it off. Before the robot was even able to conclude its analysis of the situation, its head was thrown against the floor and was then crushed underneath James' feet. Its body followed suit, and soon, there was nothing more of the robot than a pile of lifeless scrap metal.

"HEY!"

A loud voice would resonate from the hallway at that moment as soldiers that were stationed for the night shift on deck who were curious about the noise were starting to realize that the prisoners had actually escaped from their cells. Some of them had rifles in their hands and certainly did not hesitate to raise them up to try to coax James and his merry band to stay put or they'll be forced to attack them, but they then all found themselves staring at the sea, on a beach close to the city. It was a sudden shift in environment that caused some of the soldiers to become dizzy and fall against the ground. Some of them stumbled confusingly and looked back towards the ship that was still in the distance at the docks. From there, they could see many robots on the ship's deck heading towards Velvet's quarters. They then hurried on towards the ship as fast as possible, worried for their leader's safety.

The moment James arrived in Velvet's room, however, they would find themselves amidst a sea of metal and destroyed machinery. Most importantly, however, James would find himself with the tip of a blade placed right in front of his neck with Velvet staring him down with cold and merciless eyes. She was currently in her metallic form, but was not wearing the classic Marine officer coat. Her glare alone would be enough to intimidate anyone at this point, and the aura that surrounded her blade seemed... wrong and supernatural.

It was clear that she was the one who destroyed all of the robots that had tried to attack her in her quarters, however, and it was also pretty clear that she was very unhappy about the fact that she had to deal with them. On her personal work desk was what seemed to be the blueprint of a weapon alongside many metallic tools and different kinds of metals. Either way, if James did not speak immediately, Velvet was not going to take him lightly. She was, after all, very much aware of what he mainly is and what his and his friends' powers are all about, so she is still ready to take them all down if need be.

Fortunately, James did speak. Velvet did not need to talk to get any answers from him. Silently, she gazed down from the young man, to his friends, to the dwarf-looking person, then the corpses of the soldiers that have been roughly executed by the robot. Still, her blade did not move any further away from James and soon, she was back at glaring at him. She then spoke:

"You shouldn't have brought the corpses here. I did not need to see death today, and certainly not in my own damn quarters."

She then slowly lowered her blade, but still kept it in her hand before she walked towards the door that would lead her out of the room.

"I don't want to see any one of you separate from my position from now on. Until you are given constraints once more, you are under my watch. If you try to escape, I will cut you down without exception. Do you understand? Or do I have to make myself clearer?"

She glared back at James' little squad, her eyes cold yet again as she gave her orders with a superior voice tone. However, this time, the glare was much more powerful. There was an odd sense of superiority and menace to it, the kind that you would only witness in the likes of powerful officers like Velvet.

James panted heavily as he set in the chair, Velvet's sword to his throat but he didn't show a single sign of fear from him. He had spoken right as they got into the room and he was sure, if he hadn't she would have killed him in an instant. He laughed between pants as he could hardly breath, he had not used his power on so many people before and it took it out of him. "Told. . . . . y. . . ou . . . I. . . would. . . . get . . . out?" he panted and chuckled but now he was ready to join her side. " I know you didnt need to see a corpse here but you wouldnt have believed me if i didnt bring evidence you would have killed me on the spot" he said with a chuckle.

Velvet's speech was very good, she had superiority in her voice, she was serious and her glare was so much more powerful. Words can only go so far but the glare she gave, said "if you fuck me over i will end you" type of glare. He chcukled at her then turned to his three partners. He looked at Asa, Zero and Turlock, nodding to the three of them after Velvets speech about staying on her position. Asa looked at him and then Velvet, "Alright, Understood Boss." Asa said, he turned back and looked at velvet, as he eyed her up and down, side to side, "I shall protect James and if that means you as well, then i shall. Asa said as he moved behind between her and the door, stepping out into the hallway. He looked each way, before turning back to his right, you could here metal sounds coming from down the hall, and they coming fast, Asa smiled under his mask as he spoke "Bari Bari no Mi - Hammer" He said as a metal robot came into the light before being crushed under an invisible force, as the robot was crushed flat. James heard the sound of metal getting crushed in the hallway, he started laughing his ass off, "Velvet, You have me as a Subordinate now. Show me your real power." He said. Turlock was already drunk off his ass as he hiccuped and laughed, while Zero was looking at Velvet before he spoke with a soft voice, "Do you think we can have our weapons? Im not good without my weapon" He said asking her, he was seriously honest and showing signs of timid and looking at her.

Rather surprisingly, the Pirates did not even object to the idea of following Velvet's orders. In a shocking chain of events, the band of criminals went on to prepare themselves for whatever was about to come, all of them acknowledging the officer's words rather respectfully. None of them immediately threatened Velvet or tried to run away. Instead... they just surprisingly showed no resistance.

Admittedly, the redhead was left confused once this happens, ending up in her simply staring at them with that same serious glare as they all went to take position. One of them went outside the room and immediately seemed to start fighting with another of these damn machines that suddenly appeared from absolutely out of nowhere. It was only once James spoke to her and declared his allegiance to her that she finally understood why there was no resistance shown.

It was not out of respect for her that they acted like this, but more so because James is the one acting this way. He is the one who seems to respect her a lot for her scientific efforts and, as such, he commands his followers to respect her the same way they respect him.

And now I just wonder how those guys even happened to follow Burk in the first place. Sure, for NPCs, they have a pretty good setup, but there's gotta be some kind of proper explanation behind all of this. Surely, this can't just be loyalty. If it really is just that... then...

Before she could continue, her thought processes were interrupted by a voice to her side. It was Club, one of James' sidekicks. The man asked him if he could have his weapon back, admitting that he isn't a capable fighter without it. The officer stared at him for a moment, then sighed. She really did not like the idea of giving prisoners' weapons back to said the prisoners, but this is a special case.

"We usually put prisoners' weapons by the cells, but, given that you and your friends have all eaten Devil Fruits, I kept the weapons in my quarters. You'll find them in the bathroom. Some of them were pretty big, so I couldn't put them in my usual storage spaces. If I see you use it against me or any of my men... No, I don't think I need to repeat myself."

She then went outside of the room, ignoring the drunken dwarf that she really could not understand why he was even here to begin with, then went ahead to join Asa in the hallway.

James watched as Asa Crushed one robot and thought it was fitting to show strength in front of Velvet. Asa wanted Velvet to know he was strong and could help her in tons of ways, but he wasnt going to show his hand all at once. James stood as he finally got air in his lungs and stopped panting as he went to the closet and handed everyone their weapons and items. He came out with a large piece of steel as he handed it to Zero, "Here you go, Now lets get this robots running back home." He laughed as right when Zero grabbed the sheet of steel it started to flap and wave like a flag. He smiled and throw it over his shoulders like a cloak. "Im Zero. I have the Hira Hira no Mi, it allows me to give items properties of a flag." He said with a smile as he headed out to Asa.

The drunken dwarf laughed as he hiccuped again, "I am Turlock. I have the booze booze fruit. I throw one hell of a party." He laughed as he went outside as well. The sound of metal clashing from the hallway soon as the three of them started fighting more robots as they fled. James laughed as he followed Velvet outside, "Of course not. I follow you Captain." he chuckled as he followed her. He was ready to fight beside her and show her his real power, and to see her real power, "So Captain, what is the plan?" He said.

As Velvet headed outside out of her quarters after she more or less got a clear understanding of everybody's abilities and reached Asa to see how he was doing against the robots, she would see that he was the one who had eaten the Barrier Barrier Fruit. The robot he was fighting was completely overpowered and was left crushed to absolute pieces, which was rather unsurprising given how easy it is to take them down. As intimidating as they are, they are not powerful opponents: the only advantage they have is their metallic composition.

James unsurprisingly followed her outside alongside Zero and Turlock. After they reached her, the Pirate agreed that she does not need to repeat her previous words about taking care of them herself if they ever go against her orders and that they were going to follow her. The fact that he was referring to her as his "Captain" was not something that she personally enjoyed: it was as if she had somehow been turned into the leader of a Pirate crew.

"Do not refer to me as Captain. You can call me Velvet, Ms. Falcone or whatever else name you want to use, but not Captain. Nobody calls me Captain anymore, not even the men and women under my supervision. If you really want to refer to some kind of rank, just call me Rear Admiral."

She then walked forward, passing by Asa as she stared straight ahead at the robots that were rolling around the deck. Some of them seemed to have been searching all around the ship just so they could find someone to eliminate, and so, unsurprisingly, the moment Velvet and the others appeared, all the robots turned their heads at once towards them. In total, there were about two dozens of robots in the ship that were now all using their targeting systems to focus onto Velvet and the others. Staring at them, the redhead stood with a serious frown, her eyes beaming in the darkness of the night. She stood still, waiting for what was about to happen.

Many of the robots then took their blades and sent them flying towards Velvet with enough strength for the blades to pierce through the air. The redhead did not seem to react to this at first, but, the moment a blade would be about to near her, it would seem as though she had not even taken a split-second to send the thrown blade against the deck, thus not harming anyone. She did this with all the blades that had been thrown to them effortlessly, her body still moving with an absolutely furious pace. If this was all but a drawn animation, it would be as if Velvet's movements were only described with the least amount of frames possible.

Once it was done, the robots remained still as Velvet stood there, still holding onto her blade in silence. She then rushed forward. Her speed was so incredible that, in an instant, five of the robots had their heats cut off. In another instant, ten robots saw received a single slash to the chest sending them to the junkyard. Finally, in another instant, the heads of the other five robots were pierced by Velvet's blade, instantly destroying them.

To James and the others, it would seem as though everything had happened underneath a span of merely one or two seconds. Velvet's movements were so abruptly quick that it seemed as though she had become invisible while she fought. After she was done, she stood over the robots with a deep frown, then turned her head towards the docks where another robot stood. It was the last one that remained. It was standing still, aiming at her with some kind of rifle that had replaced its arm. What followed was the robot shooting at Velvet and then instantly getting its head blown off by the same bullet of which it had fired. It appeared as though the officer had completely deflected the bullet which had been fired towards her with enough precision to send it back to the robot and destroying it.

To say that this wasn't even this woman's actual full potential was downright horrifying. She hadn't even used her supernatural nor technological abilities just yet... and yet, none of these machines ever stood a chance. From where she was, she could see that there were other robots staring at her from the docks, but they swiftly rolled away, not wishing to fight something that will slaughter them without any effort whatsoever. She watched as they rolled away silently, her beaming red eyes brimming with focus. She stared at them for a long while, not taking her eyes off of them for quite some time even after they were very far away, but eventually, she stopped and put her blade back in her sheath.

"There was no plan needed."
