Humans:

Human beings are the dominant race in the world as they outnumber most other races and are usually among the most technologically advanced and organized of the races. Most islands are inhabited by humans, even in the Grand Line, where most of the stronger races such as the fishmen and giants are found.

Humans within the series are generally the same as in real life, however they come in several sizes ranging from "normal" to much larger. Some are extremely large for human standards shown being as tall as 692cm (22'7"), far surpassing an average human's height by roughly five to six times. However, these humans are considered to be no more than "oversized ants" in the face of true giants. Other humans have features that are unique, such as long noses or big ears or looking like monkeys.

The weakness of the humans in the One Piece world often makes other races such as the fishmen think lowly of them. Often this reaches point where they inflict heavy racism onto humans themselves, although not all fishmen typically think this. Often this is met by humans with returned racism towards the fishmen, sometimes leading to bloodshed. Part of the problem is that humans tend to think of fishmen and mermen as nothing more than fish, dismissing them as "men" thus alienating any chances of them being viewed as equals with humans.

Dwarves:

Dwarves (小人族, Kobito-zoku) are a tribe in the One Piece world. They have not been explained deeply yet, but are mentioned. The tribe is foreshadowed in the flashback of Noland's past. During one of his sessions recalling his adventures in the Grand Line, he mentions visiting a land of midgets. It can thus be assumed that the traditional dwarf imagery will work for your character.
Possibly a sub-species of humans.

Giants:

Giants are a race of beings that vastly overshadow the other known races of the world in size. The most commonly known giants are those from the island of Elbaf. Certain giants are bigger than average giants by roughly four times that of an average giant. Despite their size, they are still just another race of "humans".

Being giants, they are literally giant humans in appearance. They are so large that when they cry, their tears can cause large areas on the ground to appear flooded. Many giants from Elbaf are based on Vikings in both design and beliefs, though there are also giants from elsewhere that do not share that theme.

All giants can live for up to three times longer than human beings. However, in the case of giant fishmen and merfolk, it is unknown if they can live that long too.

Giants can also interbreed with fishmen, which produces a wotan. Though wotans are huge by human standards, they are still not as big as an actual giant.

Longarm Tribe:

As their name suggests, all members of the Longarm Tribe seen so far have two elbow joints on each arm, which results in them having abnormally long arms. Furthermore, all members seen so far wear Chinese style clothing, with a kanji in the front. The kanji varies from person to person. Other than that, they have the same appearance as normal humans.

Longleg Tribe:

As their name suggests, they are a race of very long-legged individuals and because of this they are very tall and outsize the average human greatly (although they are nowhere near as tall as giants). Other than that, they have the same appearance as normal humans.

Kuja:

The Kuja are a tribe of all female fighters originally found on the island of Amazon Lily. They typically seem to wear a warrior style of clothing they have for every day use that is skimpy and usually have straps, as well as a bikini style briefs/clothing on their lower regions or very short loin clothes. Many wear thigh length boots and stockings or have their legs completely bare. The style of clothing they wear would be considered otherwise "kinky" to normal people but are worn freely by the women on the island. On top of this outfit, they often wear a long cape that reaches from the shoulders to the ankles. Workers seen in the fields and at other chores without a cape, thus this proves the capes are not fixed permanently onto their outfits. Warriors are seen each carrying a large snake wrapped around them which can be used as weapons.

It is stated that the women who leave Amazon Lily sometimes return pregnant. Oddly enough though, they always give birth to females.

Apparently, the empresses of the tribe can contract a disease known as "love sickness", which is when the empress grows infatuated with a man, but keeps that love suppressed because of their tribe's rituals and customs, which then often leads to their death.

Otherwise, they are biologically identical to normal human females, though it is implied that they have a better intuitive grasp of Haki.

Fishmen:

Fishmen are one of two species that dominate the seas (the other being the merfolk). Appearance-wise, they are more "fish-like" than merfolk, looking like a cross between a man and a fish of the ocean such as a whale shark, manta ray, or sawshark; however, they still have legs. They also have gills between their shoulders and necks, sometimes covered by their clothing, as well as most having webbed hands. Depending on species, they may have multiple limbs (mainly extra arms). Size may also differ greatly between individuals.

For fishmen pirates in pirate crews that are primarily fishman based, it is customary to have that crew's jolly roger tattooed somewhere on the person's body, showing allegiance to a crew.

Merfolk:

Merfolk are one of the two major races that inhabit the sea (the other being the fishmen). Like the mermaids and mermen of folklore, their upper half is that of a human while the lower half is that of a fish. Once they reach 30 merfolk gain the ability to split their tail into legs and walk on land, then revert back to a tail in the water. Like the fishmen, they are based on the different fish of the sea.

As of now, it seems the mermen can keep more fish-features in the upper body than the mermaids. It is also possible for merfolk to have webbing between their fingers like fishmen.

Wotans:

Wotans are a crossbred species between a giant and a fishman. Wotans are not as big as actual giants, but they are still very big for human standards. The Wotan's fishman genes also carry over to them. This grants them very powerful strength and the ability to perform amazing feats underwater. They seem to have far fewer visible fish features than a true fishman, such as gills and webbed hands.

Skypieans:

Skypieans are the people who come from Skypiea and live on Angel Island and other islands in the sky. The Skypieans are mostly a non-aggressive race who live peacefully on the Sky Islands. They use dials for everyday use, such as cooking. They have small wings similar to the ones found on the backs of the Shandians. They greet each other by saying 'Heso' (which is Japanese for bellybutton) often while putting their hand against their head and sticking two fingers up.

They train their hair to grow like the antenna of an insect from a young age. Their wing style is very different from Birkans, styled closer to the Shandians wings. Their wings tend to have shorter feathers that are slightly less in number than a Shandians, often these feathers are thicker and more rounded. They are so close that at times the wings appear to be identical. However, the main difference between Shandians and Skypieans is that Skypieans often have lighter skin tones. They wear more simple civilian looking attire then the Shandians and Birkans.

Shandians:

Their dress generally resembles dress of Native Americans and their skin is often decorated with tattoos that cover large areas of their bodies. Their wings are similar to that of the Skypieans in the shape and upward direction, however they tend to have several more feathers, which are longer and have a more defined shape than the Skypieans'.

Birkans:

Like Shandians and the residents of Skypiea, they are endowed with wings on their backs. However, what differentiates them from the other two races, is the fact that their wings face downward. Residents of Birka are quite various in their appearance. Some of them possess goat-like facial features, such as floppy organs on both sides, resembling goat ears (though they also have normal human ears) and small horns. Unlike those from Skypiea and Shandia, their people tend to dress in long white robes and gowns, or other religious, or partly religious looking attire. This gives them a religious look to some extent.

Centaurs:

Centaurs seem to have different variations, not following the ancient Greek and Roman myths of being half horse from the waist down, but instead having the lower half being any kind of animal. A variation of centaurs resemble the Satyrs, half-sheep half-human creatures. They are human from the torso up with the exception of the horns. Their lower halves are made up of the rear end and hind legs of a sheep. Unlike centaurs, they do not possess forelegs.

Cyborgs:

A cyborg is a human or other life form that has been modified with machinery and metal for better functioning. These mechanical enhancements can include cybernetic replacements for missing organs or body parts, metal skin for extra protection, and weapons installed somewhere in the body.

Cyborgs have mechanical parts, which are usually visible on the outside. Aside from this, they may appear as a normal human or animal on the outside. Modifications may be more apparent when they receive wounds as they may leave their mechanical parts exposed.

Cyborgs are incredibly rare due to the technology needed. Do not expect there to be very many of these.
