Camatl Dominance I (Endless Hunger): This power allows the Cipactli to eat anything that she can swallow, without suffering any harmful effects to her health. Upon unlocking this Dominance, the Cipactli will never again feel full, nor can she eat to a point of nausea or physical incapacitation. II (Cipactli’s Maw): The Cipactli can manifest her draconic maw to deliver vicious bites and consume larger objects. For example, a Cipactli could consume the body of an unconscious enemy over the course of a few turns, like a snake unhinging its jaw. When used as an attack, the bite deals Strength +2 lethal damage and ignores armor. III (One Hundred Mouths): With this Dominance that heralds back to their forebear, the Cipactli’s draconic body becomes covered in mouths with serrated teeth. Should the Cipactli need to eat discreetly or chew through something her mouth can’t reach, such as hand cuffs or rope, she can manifest these mouths on her human guise as she sees fit. Furthermore, anyone unfortunate enough to be in a grapple with the Cipactli suffers an additional bite attack from the Cipactli every round. IV (Devourer of the World): The Cipactli has learned how to bring an even greater amount of the essence of her terrible bite over to her human guise, turning the attack into something that can rend through metal and stone with ease. Along with a more effective bite, the Cipactli’s digestive system becomes preternaturally resistant, allowing the dragon to eat swords, guns, and other things that could potentially damage the dragon’s insides otherwise. The Cipactli cannot retrieve objects she has consumed afterwards, her stomach works too quickly. When used as an attack, the bite now deals Strength +4 lethal damage with the 8-again rule. V (Pull of the Abyss): The Cipactli taps into the empty void within her to create a pressure vacuum to suck in her prey. Those who succumb to the abyss are devoured wholesale, restoring health to the Cipactli equal to the health levels they possessed at a rate of one health per turn. Tlali I (Pulse of Tlali): In Aztec legend, the first Cipactli was slain by gods to make the landmass upon which all life was created. Cipactli claim that their blood ties to their progenitor give them power over the land, citing the Dominance of Tlali as proof. Cipactli who have begun to pursue this dominance develop a sense for vibration that is particularly acute in the range of human movement. The Cipactli has a 30 foot sensory radius that does not require line of effect for detecting movement. II (Return to Mother): The Cipactli can use her connection with the soil to burrow into it without a trace. The Cipactli breathes through the earth while submerged in the ground, and has awareness of surface events through the Pulse of Tlali. III (Hunter’s Cache): At this level of mastery, the Cipactli can stow and retrieve objects in the earth. Small and medium sized inanimate objects quickly sink into the soil without contest. Large objects such as a car require time. IV (Hunter’s Larder): Should the Cipactli manage to grapple an opponent, they can attempt to drag the opponent into the earth and suffocate them, much like how alligators drown prey underwater. This is a contested Strength + Athletics or Brawl roll. If the Cipactli succeeds, her target is now suffocating and in complete darkness in a confining pocket of dirt. Prey killed in this manner is preserved for the Cipactli to consume at its leisure. V (Mother’s Due): The ground shakes as the Cipactli offers up prey to the Mother, who eagerly consumes what her daughter has provided. Enemies standing on natural ground find their footing uncertain as the dirt and dust goes into turmoil, and an unseen force seeks to pull them into the cracks. On a successful roll, enemies who fail to resist find themselves half submerged in the ground and easy targets for the Cipactli. On a critical success, enemies who fail to resist find only bloody stumps as they try to free their limbs from the ground. |

Chicahuac Dominance I-V: The legendary appetites of the Cipactli can serve them well in giving them vitality beyond what their frames suggest. A Cipactli with this dominance adds a number of health levels equal to his rating in Chicahuac. These extra levels of health are reduced when the Cipactli is suffering from his starvation weakness, but the penalty cannot bring his health boxes below his unenhanced amount. |
