(By public i mean, not the password locked one hidden from prying eyes.) We grew confident...We rebuilt. Expanded, Made Money. Recruited and Trained...But with Over Confidence comes that little disadvantage...Arrogance. 0ctober 16th The day it all went to shit. Explosions ripped through the sewer tunnels, metro tunnels, maintence tunnels...you get the idea..It all was an entrance for THEM...The fucking Swarmers. Versun City fell in that hour. It smacked those UNSC Generals right in their arrogant faces...Well heres a drink to your studpidty. As i record this, they are in the streets right now, killing all those people....And you promised them safety..Well Mr Chairman, Generals of the UNSC, Well fucking done. Cheers!(Static)" <//End Transmission//>> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Footage Secrets of Zanzibar (Episodes 1 to 4pt3) Secrets of Zanzibar 2 Content ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Time line and Events(It becomes more detailed towards the bottom) SPOILERS! If you haven't watched SoZ Episode 1 to 4 i would do so now! 2557 - Humanity reaches, Tier 2 (Interstellar) after successfully harnessing alien tech, now stored deep in the bowels of the earth, proposals for a "Shadow" facility are forwarded.. 2769 – UNSC and LEP ally 2772 – UNSC & LEP work on multiple advancements that are later applied to communities around the planet. The human race takes a step forward to becoming more technologically advanced. 2775 - Xavo is born 2780 – The “Avenger” is born 2784 – A LEP high ranking member leaves after his ideas are mocked and thrown back at him. He warns both UNSC and LEP that someday they will regret rejecting his ideas. 2786 - After much research and careful picking, the UNSC secretly roll out The "SPARTAN" Project, the successor to the failed project "TITAN". 2788 – A new group is created based on top of a already existent group The Peoples Revolution, They are known as "The United Front", the Ex-LEP member is their leader... 2790 – “Snake” is born 2791 - “Deth” is Born 2797 – Avenger joins the UNSC at the age of 17... 2797 – Avenger is hand picked as a potential candidate for the SPARTAN project, he goes through a two year extensive training exercise as well as some augmentations to improve efficienty. 2799 – The United Front attacks Rockhill Town on the 30 Year anniversary of the UNSC-LEP alliance, and destroys everything there. They send a message saying their numbers are increasing. To make things worse, it was New Years Eve and many people were there at the time… 2800 – UNSC Declares war on the United Front and the LEP follow suit. 2801 - Xavo becomes a General after rising through the ranks due to his skills and commitments to the UNSC. He commands the first counter-attack on the United Front, it consists of five squads of First Generation Spartans, Omega Squad (Who Avenger is the squad leader) takes point in the attack. The attack is successful. 2801(ii) - Dark(Ethan) is Born 2803 - Large scale battles erupt. 2808 - Snake(18) and Deth(17) both join the UNSC. 2810 - A group of young candidates are selected for the SPARTAN project, Snake and Deth are among them. However they serve as regular soldiers until 2817. 2814 - United Front successfully take over Versun City, abducting a large majority of the people for the leaders own special “Advancements”. The UNSC try to retake the city but the rebels defences were too strong, the UNSC retreat to Lannerway. 2816 – Xavo orders Omega squad to retake Versun City from the rebels after they had control over for two years...they go M.I.A... 2817 – Dark joins the UNSC aged 16, the youngest candidate ever. Regardless, he is picked to become a SPARTAN due to major losses against the rebels they needed the advantage. 2819- Snake and the rest of the recruits complete their two year training and augmentations, They become “The Second Generation” Spartans or Spartan Mk2's. 2819- Snake helps defend the Rockhill Research Facility from the United Front. 2820 – Snake is sent in with Alpha Squad to stop the rebels and deactivate the bomb in Versun City, He disobeys a direct order and instead activates, unknowingly progressing the rebel leaders plans...Alpha Squad retreats and multiple explosions erupt throughout the city... 2820 (June) – Snake is sentenced to serve 10 years for Insubordination. His rank of Sergeant is demoted down to Corporal. 2821 - Factions of the United Front split off and go into hiding. 2822 – Charlie 1 helps with the mercenary problem in the outskirts of Rockhill, near UNSC Warehouses and Factory’s, It explains the missing equipment and vehicles. 2823 – After waiting 3 years and no attack. UNSC declare the war with the United Front over, after 23 years. Keeping Snake's actions secret from the public eye, they insist is was pure tactics and a strong leadership that resulted in a UNSC victory... 2824 – UNSC Technical staff experience a blackout in communication, the rebel leader appears on a screen in front of the chairman stating that his new “Army” was already assaulting cities in the surrounding area of Lannerway..He present the Swarmers to him. It cuts dead. 2824(II) - After Snakes release from prison, he retakes leadership of Alpha and takes them on a large campaign to regain lost turf. Eventually the Rebel Leader lured them into his trap and Snake was captured. 2824(III) - After Snake escaped the rebel prison he disabled the generator power input so the shield, that would cover the island, would not work, stopping the rebels from trapping the remaining squads of the UNSC on the island whilst the rebel leader informed the Swarmers, who were in hiding, to attack the sparsely defended Lannerway. But with his plans failing and crumbling around him, the rebel leader activated a core overload sequence, as well as disabling any fail safes, such as the core lock down. He then committed suicide, knowing that he would have been killed by the UNSC or by his own abominations, the Swarmers. 2824(IV) - Snake offers himself to manually enter to lock down code so he could protect the surrounding areas from the blast. He says his farewells and enters the Zanzibar Facility, sealing his fate... 2824(V) – A memorial meeting is held among the surviving Spartans of the War. Snake is confirmed K.I.A... 2828 – 4 Years of Searching for signs of Rebels and Swarmers makes the chairman of the UNSC confident that this time they may rebuild knowing they will not come under attack...People criticize his confidence and question his leadership...He promises if they are attacked again, he will take to the front lines and squash the enemy with his own boot...They rebuild. 2830 – Leranick, a underground UNSC super city was finally completed. Out of public view it was specifically designed to prevent any attack from any enemy of the UNSC. The Swarmers were in mind at the time...The UNSC make this a backup base. Xavo claims it as his home. 2830(II) - Versun City was finished its reconstruction. People slowly began to move into the city, around 40% of the original 18 million entered. Rockhill Research centre was shut-down and destroyed. Lannerway had some minor structure repairs and defences improved. Valstone Town was rebuilt along with a UNSC Base which supported Infantry and Air units. A new Generation of Spartans finished their, now 3 years, training and augmentation programme, however the war lowered the numbers, only 25 Spartans were made. 2832 - Seismic activity, mistaken for an earthquake, was in actual fact, thousands of Swarmers emerging from underground to attack the human race again.. Versun City falls instantly...The chairman calls for an immediate rearmament and he later flees to Hcaer (UNSC World). Cities around the world report attacks. Lannerway is next... 2832(II) - Shadow Facility is discovered. Edit: I know it's long but its a good read. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Squads, Characters and The Enemies Shadow Squad Shadow Squad is a collection of SPARTANS who met the required skillset (As well as expierence). It consists of: - Squad Leader Deth (Former Alpha Squad member and friend of Snake. Deth is the Long Range Specialist) - Second In Command Dark (returned from Comatose state over a year ago, Xavos son.Dark is specialises in Assault Tactics) - CQC/S3 (Like's getting up close and personal, handy with technical problems) - Grenadier/S4 (The explosive ordnance specialist, used to fix up vehicles as a living, that was before being drafted into the UNSC and handpicked a suitable candidate for the SPARTAN Project.)
