The world narrowed, adrenaline flooding the well worn path through his neural synapses as Clovis' kick registered. Seth's body moved on instinct more than logic, years of picking unnecessary fights over Xavier training him in the art of low blogs. More importantly, it taught him how to dodge them. His knees bent, balls of his feet pressing into his boots to signal a launch. Seth barely registered the wind whipping against his face, eyes fixated on the boy some part of his mind had designated his enemy. He pivoted himself in midair, launching again in order to distance himself from the attacker and-the Grimm? Seth contemplated this for a split second, quickly diverting his attention to landing again, a good 10 yards away. He rose slowly, his brain taking a moment to clear out the fight or flight instinct and think rationally. Despite being, frankly, an asshole, this dude was out to keep him alive, not kill him. He'd have to ask whatever the fuck it was he said later. Right now, he had to return the favor. Seth lunged forward, hooking the closest rodent in the curve of his blade and flinging it into one of its allies attempting to assault his begrudging partner. |

The pups assaulting the boys are 100% dead. There is nothing left of them but dissolving shadows. Given the boys brutality and exuberance in their moves. The other dogs feel like they should go feed on some other poor saps who landed nearby, and go to do just that. |

Clovis was, despite the pain still seeping from his head, 100% ready to fight...and rather disappointed when he realized that all the Grimm were backing away. Well, fuck. And he'd been so looking forward to punching shit... Man, this was turning out to be such a weird day. "They're backing off, let's go while we can," he said sourly, blinking away the last of the headache. He hesitantly uncovered his ears, wanting to discern the location of their relic hub and requiring an answer to his previous question but not entirely willing to look at Seth at the moment. "And I'll ask again: do we have a deal? No booms when no headphones, yes?" |

Seth exhaled, significantly less disappointed when the Grimm dispersed, glad he could save his energy on whatever they had ahead of them. (And perhaps this dudebro, if things went south.) He planted his hands akimbo, his blade jutting out behind him. "Deal. I will warn you that you'll want to keep them on a majority of the time, as those booms are my main method of transportation and maneuvering." He sighed, sheathing the blade and turning towards the forest. "I think I saw the relic site somewhere in this direction. We can argue over the team alignments later. For now I think we should get going before those pups bring back their big brothers." |
