Launch Day - [KRMA]; Kevin & Keye

Vertical Hell

Should you be expecting a flat landing surface, your plans may have suddenly gone awry! Almost straight up and down, cliff faces, hobbled trees and rocky outcroppings paint the geologically absurd scene that can only be described as a cliff-climber's heaven.

Despite the strange terrain, Geodude, Pidgey, and Drillbur Grimm still prowl this area - even if the stiff, thin breeze and utter silence says otherwise.

OOC: The GM for this thread is Xavier. GM's will RP mook (weak) Grimm during combat, to get players used to working with a GM. The combat system will not be used for these first two threads. Please begin by RPing your landing strategy!

"Croagunk? Alright, good to know." Kevin stated, before nodding and going off to get Keye's sunglasses. The other was right, they weren't very far away. "So," Kevin said as he walked, making sure to be loud enough that Keye could hear, "That was some fighting style you had back there. Literally crushing the enemy. Pretty fucking badass." Kevin smiled a little as he brought back the sunglasses. As he was about to hand them to Keye, though, he had a sudden realization.

"You… Can't exactly put these on yourself, can you?" Kevin sighed, looking at the glasses in his hands. "You want me to help you put them on, or..? I mean, there aren't exactly any grimm here for the moment, so I might as well."

"Ah, thank ya!" Keye said, his expression brightening up at the compliment. He was pretty proud of what he could do. "Do unto 'em as they unto you. Pretty much my motto. Kinda like...accelerated karma 'er somethin'."

A sheepish smile spread across his lips as he nodded to Kevins follow up question. "Heh, nah, I can't jus' yet. I'm gettin' the hang a' usin' the dukes fa' more delicate things," 'Delicate' was used loosely, "but I still can't really pick up 'er put on ma' glasses without breakin' 'er bendin' 'em." He leaned down slightly, smiling thankfully at Kevin as he waited for him to put them on.

"Heh, accelerated karma, that's a good one. I think I might use that later, if that isn't a problem. It's a hell of a motto." Kevin grinned, before carefully putting the sunglasses back on Keye's face. Once that was done, Kevin took a step back, looking around the terrain. Well, it was definitely barren as fuck.

"Well, I don't think that not being able to handle delicate things will really be a problem out here. The only things you really need to handle are grimm, it looks like. I can probably handle anything else." Kevin stated, before pulling out his own scroll and turning it on. Once the screen flickered to life, Kevin groaned. "Oh, so now you give me something useful. It's literally just saying which direction to go in. Alright, thanks, you piece of shit. C'mon, it says to go…" Kevin trailed off, before pointing in the opposite direction of the Drillbur grimm they had just encountered. "This way. Let's get moving and hope we don't have too many more run ins with the grimm greeting committee." With that said, Kevin began to walk, trusting that Keye would follow.

"Ey, not'a problem at all buddeh~" Keye chimed, scrunching his nose to scoot the shades further up the bridge of it. A small laugh left his lips, "Perfect~" and with that he chased after Kevin. The dukes retracted as he grabbed the ground, standing on his massive hands before they jutted out like pistons, launching him forward and over Kevin, overtaking the 'lead' as he caught himself and continued running. "C'mon Kev! Pick up the pace!" His expression and tone was a playful one before launching himself ahead again with the help of The Dukes.

Kevin was perfectly content with his pace, simply heading where the scroll said. That is, until Keye launched in front of him. Well, two could play that game. "Alright asshole, you're on!" Kevin grinned, before making two psychic glyphs in order to allow him to skip a large distance and gain the lead. It looked like Kevin and Keye would be reaching the relics shortly.
