"Love thy neighbor."
|
The less-than-cheery atmosphere of the clearing was a picture perfect representation of Mayu's mood for the past few hours: Desolate and kind of... exploded. She had spent an eternity looking for something "relic-looking" but a die? A freaking die? She could only guess that her other two teammates had the second die. A pair of dice. A gamble. It was only too fitting. At least her two teammates weren't this animal. Rachel had been too friendly this entire trip, and it rubbed Mayu entirely the wrong way. She stormed ahead of the Faunus, gripping the die in her hand, looking around the area. The sooner she found her other teammates, the better. They couldn't possibly be any worse, right? After all, a majority of the students here were humans, and they shared similar... opinions, so chances were she'd have someone to talk to. And there was still hope that Melody and whoever she was partnered with got the other matching die. "This place looks terrible..." She mumbled. "But it looks deserted..." With a little sigh, she sat against a piece of rubble, trying to rest her feet. They had been walking for an obscenely long time trying to find the last two members of their team. It was only a matter of time. "Let's take a quick break. Then we'll keep going." |

It was surprising, in all honesty. She never thought what they were looking for. She was expecting a cool relic, something big and probably easy to the carry around...which the latter was right when they found, what seem to be a dice. Rachel had tried to take a look at it but Mayu just grab it and look at it. She was really mad at it, Rachel had no idea what could went in Mayu's mind then. But Rachel wonder what kind of meaning that relic could have been about...? Now that they've end up at what seem to be debris of a hut. Rachel had tried to talk to her new partner, but it always end with a scowl or she just ignore her the most yet Rachel still tried to be friendly to her during the most of their trip. The whole trip, Rachel had kept her ears open and eyes to look out around but there were no Grimm nearby at all. But here they are, in a place where there's rubbles and debris anywhere. Rachel heard Mayu mumbling something else then watches her walk to the nearest piece of rubble and sat on it, trying to rest. She told Rachel they're going to have a quick break for now. "Did we just have a break while ago...?" Rachel pouted, moving backward instinctively as she step on the rubbles. She begun to climb up with each step careful, just to avoid to fall. Once she reach bit higher, to get a better view of the place. She saw something. "Hey, princess! I think I saw something afar!" Rachel shout down, bringing out her weapon as she goes down by sliding to Mayu. |

"I know, it don' tell us how far away it is, but we've been goin' this way forevah, ya know? I'm jus' a tad worried it might be busted up 'er somethin'." Keye mumbled to Kev as they walked along. If anything he was happy they weren't in the desert anymore. The forest was a much finer place for him to move and operate in in contrast with the mostly barren landscape they'd begun in. Looking ahead Keye could vaguely make out some sort of structure, and some movement around it as well. "We...might have a bit'a trouble." Maybe it was the fact he was wearing shades, and couldn't really remove them to make out the other student better. No it was very likely that. "What'a they look like to ya, Kev?" He asked, looking over to his partner hunter. |

"Eh, we'll find our way back eventually. It's not like they'd just fucking leave us out here to die if we took too long anyways. Well, actually… Shit, I'm not sure how they handle this." Kevin sighed, tossing the die in his hand absent-mindedly. At least the forest was a nice change of scenery from cliffs as far as the eye could see. Also significantly less Drilbur grimm, so that was nice. Kevin started a bit when Keye mentioned trouble in the distance, and his grip on the relic tightened. However, when he saw that it was just another student, he relaxed a bit. "Looks like another person. Maybe they've got a better idea of how to get back to where we were launched from. And if not… Well, safety in numbers and shit, right?" Kevin shrugged, before waving at whoever was up on top of the dilapidated hut as he walked, hoping that would serve as enough of a signal that they weren't hostile. Good. The rat spotted something with her creepy rat eyes. By the time she had spotted whatever it was, Mayu had already taken off her scarf, glove, and arm guard, and leaned her weapon and quiver against the side of the hut. It was nice to be at least somewhat in normal clothes. With a sigh, she stood, taking Arc and a few arrows from her quiver with her, walking over to her partner, examining the direction Rachel was looking towards. "Well, what is it?" Damn this Faunus had good eyes. From what she could tell, there were two silhouettes, slightly obscured by the forestation. They didn't appear to be Grimm. It was probably two students. She squinted her eyes to see if she could recognize either of the shapes, praying that one of them was Melody. It was hard to make out really anything, though the shape on one side was... odd. It was far larger than the other, with arms that stretched down to the floor, from what she could tell. As the shapes moved, she spotted red hair, which was easy to spot because... Because... Oh Arceus. "You know what? On second thought, a rest was a dumb idea! After all, the teachers are waiting for us! And I'm feeling totally rested! Didn't you say we had a break only a little while ago! You're totally right. We should go! Right now! Right? Right! Right now! Let's go... Bud. Get your stuff. Hurry now. The sun is setting--" She looked up at the sun, which was far from setting, and grimaced. "Well, it's going to set sometime! Come on! Pack your cheese, rat! Let's scurry!" She turned and started scrambling down the rubble, struggling with the falling bits brick and rock. Shit, why did she unpack? She would be more than happy to grab her things and dash, but she didn't want to be unprepared in case a Grimm attacked. Edited by Mayu Victoria Celeste, Dec 15 2014, 09:42 PM.

"What? Dumb idea? Oh come on, princess I'm not a--" But Rachel stop talking when she saw Mayu scrambling down the rubbles already then she finishes her own sentence, "--rat and I eat cheese burger already." But her partner doesn't hear it as she was already on the ground. Rachel sighed, and look around to get a look at these two figures again. Using her semblance, she could tell that one of them is really taller than the other, and she spot the red hair...are they curly? He seem to had huge hands...are they even actual hands? But she look down and see Mayu already gearing up, calling her already to get down. Rachel almost make a sound almost amusing as she realized that the archer actually unpacked her own a while back. Eventually, she held her staff tightly just as she make a effort of getting down the rubbles by being careful with every single step she landed on. |

"Hey!" Keye yelled, beginning to run ahead. "Wait up! We ain't grim!" He tried to call out to them, but they seemed to be on the move already. "C'mon Kev, lets catch up to 'em!" Without waiting he kept on running ahead, knocking aside brush and branches that got in his way. "Ey ey ey! Yins need ta wait up! Best we be sticken' together, ya know!" They'd already dived down on the other side of the wall and rubble. That being taken into consideration, he readied himself as he approached, swinging both hands forward and going for a front flip. Once on his hands the gloves spang outwards, and catapulted him over the rubble. He stumbled a bit on landing, catching himself with his mechanical gloves. Certainly not the most graceful of landings. |

"Wait- Keye!" Kevin started, before chasing after Keye. Well, shit. This was going to go fantastically, wasn't it? Kevin didn't quite see the need to chase after these other students, a rendezvous wasn't one hundred percent necessary, and they could probably fend well enough on their own. But Keye seemed dedicated and- God fucking damn it did he just vault over the rubble? Kevin cursed quietly under his breath (he hadn't wanted to waste too much dust unnecessarily), before readying some of the psychic dust in his scythe, quickly making one glyph right in front of him and another at the top of the rubble, easily enabling him to make his way onto the top and continue following Keye. "Hey," Kevin grunted as he jumped down, "Do we really need to chase after these two? I mean, shit, if they're running off we might as well not waste energy that could be better spent fending off grimm or… Oh, fuck it." Kevin sighed and rolled his eyes. He had a feeling he wouldn't be changing Keye's mind any time soon, and the other two seemed to be going the same direction that they needed to go anyways. Mayu scaled her way down from the rubble and was now frantically gathering her things together. Throwing her arching bracers on her hands (nearly putting them one the wrong hand at first) and folding up her weapon. She hardly payed attention to her partner as she rambled on in the background about cheeseburgers. Not a rat. What a laugh. Sure. And she wasn't a human. "Come on! We've got to get that artifact quickly so we can make our headmaster proud! Gotta go back and find out who our partners are! With this stupid die." She pulled out the die they had received and examined it for a moment. Perhaps there were better teammates waiting for her. It was all a gamble at this point. Her thoughts had been interrupted by a SLAM! and fumbling noises. The ground shook just slightly and Mayu stumbled, dropping the die from her hands. "DAMN IT!" She cried as she reached down and grabbed for it. She could hear someone else following quickly behind. Great. GREAT. She could only guess what was behind her. Picking up her weapon, she turned to the frog boy she had met in Lumiose City. "You came to the wrong damned hut, Beast." |
