The Dorkiest of Dorks.

Jamila swallowed twice before slowly her arms fell aside her body, shoulders dropping a tiny bit. Was he... Was he afraid of her? But what had she ever done to him? Absolutely nothing. They hadn't even met before this day! Or was he... Did he hate Faunus? And since she was one... He hated and feared her...? But she hadn't done anything to him. "L-Listen... I know I'm a Faunus but I promise you I won't hurt you. I promise. We're... We're supposed to form a team now... And uhm... It just has to be for a little while... Until we're out of the forest. Then I might be able to talk to the principal. I mean... It's no good if we're a team if you hate my guts and I end up being an uncomfortable fairy..!" she stated with an awkward laugh that soon died out. "... I swear I'm not a bad person... And I won't hurt you... See?" she uttered, taking two steps backwards and grasping Myosotis off the floor while she was at it. "But we... We need to work together for now... okay?" |

There was no reason for him to be afraid, he knew that all too well, but whatever it was in him that caused him to think otherwise just couldn't seem to accept it. He seemed to have calmed down a little though, his stomach had settled down and his heart wasn't quite beating as hard as it was. And he was starting to think a little clearer, so that was a good sign. Of course it helped that she had lengthened the distance between them. They needed to get out though, and he would have to work with her for the time being. They couldn't just stand here in a stalemate for the whole of the initiation. He managed a small nod in recognition of her words. |

It has been supposed that Grimm sometimes feed off of negative emotions. In this instant, while the studies prove inconclusive, a small pack of floating black magnets with vivid red eyes floated through the door, a soft and unnatural hum seemingly echoing from within them. The nearly lovecraftian noise reached a cresendo as the floating Grimm coordinated an eletrical pulse to fire at the hunter that had their back against the wall. The afraid were supposed to be easy pickings. |

Alright with some deep breaths and a cool mind, they could manage this. She would not let her new partner for now, get hurt in anyway possible! They just needed to make sure to leave and- And think positive thoughts! Like her father's cooking on Sundays! Or the florist shop with all the wonderful smells! It caused a smile to curl around her lips for a moment before she stirred and clutched a bit tighter to her weapon. Too late. The damage had already been done. And the Grimm had set their sight upon them. In particular, upon her new partner. "Oh no, you don't!" she cried, rushing forward and lifting her weapon in the form of a shield to absorb the attack shot at them, lips pursing for a moment. "I know this.. This is not the time but do you mind fighting? Do.. Do you think you can?" |

The Steel Dragon - Trickster Faunus

The low hum of the incoming Grimm didn't register with Jennu until it was too late, and they had already floated through the door. He didn't click that it was possibly him that had drawn them here, but he was aware that they were aiming at him. Jennu was not easy pickings, perhaps he would have been if the Grimm had been a Fairy, but they weren't, so he wasn't. Now that his attention had been taken from Jamilia and drawn to the Grimm, it seemed as though something in his head had switched from 'fear' to 'fight'. He answered her with little more than a grunt, and once she had (hopefully) deflected the attack, he skirted round her and fired off a shot from his gauntlets. Hopefully the dragon Dust would at least put them off. |

The electrical pulse had been deflected by the fairy huntress, the blast hitting a nearby wall with a residual crackle. Now that they were all in the room, it was easy to see that there were exactly three black steel magnets floating throughout the room. Their bright red eyes followed the fleeing hunter with mild disinterest as one of them took a shot with dragon dust to the side. It did little more than stagger it in the air, and the three magnets floated into position, triangulating themselves around the room. One sat in front of the exit, and the other two sat on two of the far edges in an attempt to trap the hunters in the middle. A low unnatural hum purred through the room, revving in intensity. |

She puffed out a little breath when the other reacted to the attack. Atleast he wasn't frozen in fear anymore. Maybe this would work out one way or another... With a little bit of luck... She shifted her form a bit, watching the Grimm as they surrounded them, cheeks sucking in for a moment. It was obvious they wanted to surround them... Something they couldn't let happen. They had to get these down. Steelblue fell upon her partner for a moment before looking back at the Grimm, clutching her weapon. Shield, blades or gun. A shiver went down her spine at the sound that resounded throughout the room. She clicked the weapon into gun-mode and aimed at the one sat at the exit. "Alright. Have it your way." whispered the girl, letting out a blast. |

Ok, that didn't do much. This wasn't going to be easy. They needed to get rid of that one at the door, otherwise they'd be stuck in here. And Jennu didn't really want to be confined in a space with a Fairy Faunus. He was still fully aware of Jamilia, and the feeling in his stomach hadn't settled either, but she was less of a threat than the Grimm were, despite what his phobia was trying to tell him. He also didn't like that noise they were making. Given that his dragon Dust did pretty much nothing, and the only other Dust he had matched the Grimm they were up against, Jennu realised that he would have to get get up close and personal. He just hoped he wouldn't have to get angry. Seemed like a waste to use his Semblance on a Grimm like this, for all they knew, there could be something stronger on the way. He decided not to do anything as Jamilia made her attack, instead deciding to wait and see what happened. |

The blast from the fairy faunus hits the magnemite at the door dead on, the whirring intensifying from it in a strange kind of electric screech. The other two whine similarly, and a large bolt of electricity passes between the two at the back of the room, completely avoiding the two hunters. With the whirring mostly ceased, the one at the door attempts to regain it's bearings by firing an electrical pulse at the hunter that attacked it. The other two in the background simply resumed whirring, almost as if waiting for a command... |

Okay. So that had ended up pissing the Grimm off... And the fairy couldn't help a light yelp when she felt the electric pulse rush by her. Completely avoiding her, but still. It was a promise to something worse. She couldn't use her shield again to stop a pulse. Could she? What if it was stronger and would hit her either way? Her eyes found her partner's for a moment, tilting her head a bit before giving a quick, reassuring smile. Then her eyes were back upon their mutual enemy. Just in time to see the start of another electrical pulse. She made a small noise in the back of her throat, quickly ducking away, though still feeling the electricity in the air. They needed to get out of here. Narrowing her eyes, she finally clicked another button on her weapon, releasing the blades and taking a hold of them whilst the shield/gun part remained on her back. "We need to get out of this sticky situation. Do you have any blaze dust? Or perhaps some impact? I believe they would be effective." |
