Majority Shareholders: Henrietta de Lacroix (25%), Santina Fierro (20%), Alexis Chavergo (20%), Jasper laFontaine (20%), Pride Chapters in Nimbasa, Mistraliton, and Anville (15% Collectively)

Background: PRIDE does not exist, not in any official capacity. The four leaders are friends and business partners, nothing more. They are not a elite collection of wealthy and influential Faunus in Virbank and beyond. They do not have a chokehold on the economic clout of Virbank as a city. They are not affiliated with Team Plasma or associated with the fight for Faunus justice. They do not employ questionable intimidation tactics in order to maintain the well being of Virbank as a city. They do not have chapters in Nimbasa, Mistraliton, and Anville. They do not hire specially trained Hunters and Huntresses out to other Faunus businesses to protect them from human thugs.

They're a business union, nothing more.

Founded some fifteen years before the start of the story, PRIDE is an answer to the simple problem of crimes against Faunus in Virbank. A coalition of the four most powerful Faunus families in the city, the Pride exists to keep Faunus business in the hands of Faunus business owners and ensure that foreign human influence has no foothold in the city.

Virbank had historically terrible problems with human businesses exploiting Faunus labor in ways that were just short of illegal (barely). In the late 80's, early 90's, human dominated businesses employed more than 80% of the city's Faunus population while controlling more than 99.9% of the capital produced by the city. Businesses employed human gangs who enforced the will of their multinational corporate sponsors under the supervision of the police force. Violence and crime against Faunuses and Faunus business that refused to bend to their authority was gruesome and all too prevalent.

This changed when Coldharbor Shipping CEO proposed a bold solution to three of the most influential Faunus families who struggled under human rule. Alone they could not influence their city in any positive way but together they could create an economic powerhouse to rival multinational corporations. More importantly, they would take their city back by any means necessary.

The organization, bolstered by certain friends in a certain team, quickly set about dismantling human influence in the city, aided by a series of coincidental incidents that made their task easier. The head of a ruthless processing plant who beat toxic dumping charges was found floating in a vat of petrochemicals in his plant (obviously he slipped from the catwalks above). The head of a textile company accused of employing sweatshop like conditions quietly sold their shares in the company after questionable pictures of them were leaked to the Virbank press. A judge accused of bribery and conspiracy was rescued by Coldharbor Shipping boats after his yacht sunk in a freak accident one weekend and had to retire.

And one by one, PRIDE businesses slowly took their place. And Virbank became an all around more pleasant place to live...for the most part.

Racial tensions increased between remaining human businesses and Faunus run businesses but for the de Lacroixs and the rest of the families, it was a small price to pay. Crime is down, drug use is down, the overall economic standard of living is up and Virbank, which was once a poor manufacturing community, is on the rise.

It's amazing what a little blood and fear can accomplish when put to good use.
