The Dorkiest of Dorks.
Atash was taking too long for his liking. Perhaps he had to get it himself next time. Puffing out a breath, he turned his head to watch the students pass by, eyes falling on a dark-skinned girl with a green tail for a moment, one eyebrow raising up before he shot her a faint smile when she called out a polite 'hello'. Afterward, he turned away his head and sipped from his drink, leaning against the tree once more and gazing ahead.

So far so good. His brother would deny such words. So far so good? No, no way. Look at the team they gave me! The Faunuses, alright. But the human! A leader! It's like this whole place is mocking me! Zemar couldn't help but give a small laugh to himself before frowning. Sometimes Atash did take it over the top... He knew his brother wasn't too fond of humans... But he probably was just pissed off at the human becoming leader because he wanted to be it.

He hoped... What if his brother went further than that? What if he actually hated on all of the humans? He wouldn't, right? Not to the ones being kind. Sometimes Zemar did wonder...

"One million for your thoughts!" called out a familiar voice, who jumped over and squatted down before his brother, holding out paper and a pencil. "Here you go, jerk. Time to tell our mother of the grand discovery made. No use in keeping her in the dark about this, eh?" questioned Atash, raising an eyebrow as Zemar took the paper with a smirk. "No use at all, no. Sit yourself down. I'll write this letter." he commented, making Atash snicker.

"Rather you than me. I'd just give a 'Vixen and Drake are alive. This place sucks a little tiny bit less.'." he joked, causing Zemar to give a roll of the eyes, shoving his brother lightly before taking the pencil and placing the paper against the book and tilting his head a bit.

Finally, the pencil hit the paper and words flowed out with each stroke.

Dear mother,

We arrived safely at the Academy, apologies for sending a letter so late. I wanted to send one sooner, but things happened. It was a blur of action. Atash and I are both on a team now. Both of us are not together though. Atash hates it more than I do. I think I'll get used to my team of misfits. You'd like them too. There's this girl who reminds me of you, a little bit. She's like the mother of this strange 'pack'. There's a huge girl you definitely don't want to have a fight with unless you know what you're doing. She became leader, I don't mind really. She probably needs to learn how to be a leader. And if all else fails, I can be a leader in the shadows, of sorts. The last is my partner, a red-headed loud mouth. She is amusing at best. I haven't spent much time with my team yet.

Atash's team exists out of two Faunuses and a human. His partner is a Zoroark Faunus, seems pretty alright. The second is a Blitzle Faunus. He's paired up with the leader. Which is the human. I haven't seen much of them yet. But Atash seems to hate the leader. He also claims I should complain against Sycamore about my team of humans. I won't though.

But the big news I wanted to give is actually way more than all of this. We'll be able to tell you face to face about the things we did at the Academy. But mother, are you sitting down? If not. I think you should right now.

Okay, are you sitting?

Vixen and Drake, they're alive!! We met them the day before, it was amazing and it made our heart soar, believe me on that one. They survived the Games. Ended up coming to Kalos Academy. We can't wait to see you and I bet they can't either! They seem alright, though I'm sure damage must have been done...

We miss you a lot, mother. And Orre too.

With love, Zemar and Atash.

"Seems legit enough." called Atash, peering over his brother's shoulder before pushing himself up to his feet, patting his brother's head once. "I'm gonna see if I can find Drake or Vixen around anyplace. You don't stay in the sun for too long, alright?" spoke the dark-haired with a fanged grin before bouncing off, causing Zemar to smirk for a moment. Atash never changed.

He hesitated, peered down at the letter for a moment.

P.S. I think Atash is racist to hu--

It was scratched through, and again, and again. Until finally he yanked that bit off and tore it into little pieces.

No... No. Atash wasn't racist. He was just a bit cold against humans. But he was cold against everyone he didn't know well enough...! His brother wasn't racist. In time he'd warm up to his team leader, for certain...

His brother would.
