The idea behind this thread is to suggest possible move edits that could be implemented into the game. According to what Levi has to say on this topic, it's something that's completely possible and relatively simple -depending on the complexity of what we're trying to get done (redundancy ahoy).

If you feel like you have an idea for a move edit -so that we can give legendaries unique moves e.t.c- then just fill out this form.

Hmmm.... maybe give Necobra a signature move as well to match?

Deathscream (someone think of a better name, this sounds like a decepticon)


I'm behind all of the HM changes, it'll make them viable moves beyond, "you need this terrible move to get past a certain point and it's a goddamn hassle."

I had an idea for a signature move for the Wombat starter. I'm not sure what move it could replace but we could have:

Tunnel Flare


Edity edit: Thought of one for the Frilleaf and Plaquatic line.

Poison Ivy


Aqua Surge

I like those HM edits, but Flash should be electric. And I agree about not changing Fly, Surf, or Dive.
Maybe change DeathScream to Toxic Reap?
Sooo... is Lifestream like a better Giga Drain?
Those signature starter moves sound cool... but are they doable?

From what I know, they can be possible, but it would take Hex Editing. And Doesnt is the only one I know who knows how to do them well.

They're probably not TOO hard to do, but would require effort and probably only something that we could do as a interestin feature.

Tunnel Flare and Aqua Surge are perfectly doable. They could take the place of some of the signature moves, like Sacred Fire for Tunnel Flare and Mist Ball for Aqua Surge. Dunno how easy it is to change attack animations, but the existing animations for Sacred Fire and Mist ball should be fine for those two (though Mist ball doesn't look very aggressive for a surge)

Frenzy Plant would be good for Poison Ivy. However, I don't think all of Poison Ivy's effects would be doable without hex/asm editing.

Well, my other thought for Lifestream was to make it Recover, except that it deals damage. Except I thought that having it be like that would be both unfair for when you're catching it (you get hit for heavy damage, and it recovers a significant chunk of HP), and after catching it (because it could trivialize battles). So I made it like a stronger Giga drain, yes.
