Our own match gets my vote just for being the favorite of mine. Not because I was in it, not because of anything but the pure raw talent in the match. Great job to both of us, Tommy. |

This is a tough call for me, as I liked both Razer/Steele and Tommy/Showtime about equally. Both had their upsides and their downsides. Razer/Steele had an awesome nostalgic feel, lots of good writing to back it, and it was just fun to read it. The only flaw, and I'm not even sure if this is a flaw, but to me it felt at times like I was watching an 80s WWE power-match with a hardcore twist. Hard to explain, I suppose. >_> But yeah, it was a good match. Tommy/Showtime...it was a very deceptive match. My expectations for this match were not met, yet the match did not disappoint. What I mean by that is, if by submission match you thought "pure wrestling match", you wouldn't find that here, and I think what they did better suits their respective characters. Instead of trying to "out-wrestle" one another as I had expected the match to be about, they went the "try and kill the other guy with my bare hands" route. Now, I'm not saying they didn't do any "Wrestling" sequences, because they did. By not trying to "out-wrestle" one another, I mean they didn't use your typical ring psychology (i.e. work an arm and try to win via arm submission). That's not a bad thing, though, because it worked for them, and it made the ending work. Had they wrestled the whole time with psychology, the ending would not have worked at all; someone would have had to tap. The only flaws I found were the match seemed repetitive at points; I noticed some of the same moves being used several times. Other then that, another great match. So yeah, I have no idea what to vote for, so I won't for now... Maybe later I will come to a decision. Good job to all four men, though. |

Homer vote here. Me and Razer tried to keep the match with an old school PWA feel to it. No massive weapon shots, no major up the ramp, backstage, out in the street brawling. Just a good old fashioned PWA slugfest. And both of us were very pleased with the finished product. It was like stepping back in time a year and half or two years ago. My reasons for always leaving is I don't find myself entertained by my opponents RP's all the time. So I stop reading the match, which means I have to stop RPing in them. Razer, Triple 6, and P.Y are all opponents I feel I work best with. Kudos to Razer. We put on a good show. And Trips, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. LOL Don't know how you came about the hoss reference. That definently wasn't what we had in mind. |
