As another night was beginning to draw to a close, it was only just beginning to twinkle into exsistence for the ever sadistic presence that had come to be known as Deception. And with the night rode another challenge on the long and bumpy road towards the ultimate goal in this business - the World Heavyweight Championship. That challenge came in the form of an up-beat, energetic and all around troublesome newcomer. He refered to himself as Xstatic; and everytime he clambered into the squared circle you could tell excactly why. He stood across from the man of dark and sinsiter origins, bouncing from foot to foot with an impatient only a child could muster in his blissful innocence. A grin would spread across his face from time to time but there was definately no trace of the emotion categorized as fear. The tension within the arena was beginning to rise and it was only a matter of time until everything erupted in an explosion of sweat and tears - breaking point would soon arrive for one of these men. The referee did his traditional checks of the competiors, allowing himself a moment to look desperately at Deception as if begging the man to restrict his own emotions tonight and keep this match low-key in comparison to some - if not most - of his previous bouts. And with everything in check the zebra striped enforcer points towards the timekeeper and a sudden silence blankets the spectators as the chimes of the rusting metallic bell used night after night resonates through the air, singalling the beginning of this match and if the referee got his wish, not the beginning of this massacre.

DING DING DING~!

The competitors feet begin to trace the invisible circle worn into the canvas over the past years by some of the greatest men in history, adding their tales to this already storied competition. The moment was drawing closer to when these two bodies would collide and within seconds it had thrust itself upon them as they both stormed towards the center spot of the battlefield. Their arms entangled immediately and it appeared as if Xstatic might just of had a fighting chance in the opening moments until The Martyr of Tears tore everything from underneath him; literally. His right leg sweeping behind his opponent's legs, the former Hardcore Champion forces himself - full mass - against the body of the cruiserweight, causing him to fall back first against the constricting canvas. Some time between leaving his feet and hitting the floor Xstatic found the palms of his opponent gripped around his throat, squeezing tighter and tighter. The face of the Live Wire was suddenly blooming a crimson red, deeper and deeper. The referee sighed and then resigned himself to a night of good old-fashioned hard work and set to trying to seperate The Dark One from his young rival. As the referee counted up through to four from - low and behold - one, Deception began to gradually relax his death grip upon Xstatic until the point where air began to flood back into his lungs. But even the sweet tinge of the oxygen had become a flaming nightmare, his insides caressed with fire his body would take a few moments to readjust to. Tonight may not end up a long night, but however long the competition, it would certainly be btrual.

Johnny; Deception seems to be more than up for this fight. I'd say it's nice to see this side of the man once more, but well, it isn't.
Donny; Poor Constine, poor Xstatic. They both know what it's like to be on he recieving end of a revitalized Deception onslaught. Poor them.

Currently feeling expectantly relieved at being freed from the crushing clutch of his opponent’s numbing hands, the sombre frown which previously signalled Xstatic’s emotions curls upwards until it becomes remarkably similar to a string less bow. From his mouth, welcomed air is now sucked in like a vacuum. Without the orientation to make the most of his current predicament, the “Live Wire” goads inordinate displeasure from his sadistic opponent by firing veracious verbal arrows at Deception’s mental stronghold. The cocky youngster succeeds in deeply cutting his barbarous combatant’s subconscious parapets with these phonic barbs but the coarse derision spewing from his mouth only leads to a physical reaction which he could sorely do without; a tempestuous uppercut that hits home underneath his lowered chin to seal his mouth shut. This strike serves to silence a previously flippant X, who stumbles backwards from the sheer force of the catastrophic crack which has left his mandible in a shivering state. Now, it is the turn of the “Dark One” to slip away from past anxiety with a Cheshire cat grin draping the lower part of his face which spreads itself like the legs of a whore with every tranquil step he creates across the moistening canvas which sinks beneath his feet like wet sand (OMG! OVERKILL!). After a few short and solemn strides the larger Englishman is merely a reach away from his foe and in the perfect position to exact his bounteous revenge on the man immured by the temporary agony which retards his dynamism. In a position in which he looms over Xstatic in the same manner as a grand monolith, the time has finally come for Deception to execute a manoeuvre that could help to set himself and the “Live Wire” apart in terms of their bodily conditions. Quick as greased lightning, without the thunder to accompany it aurally, the “Dark One’s” right arm shoots outwards to pierce the air beside him causing a gust of cool wind to wrap around the unnervingly outstretched limb. In a long list of all the things you could call Deception (resilient, cocky, hated, insane, sadistic, etc.) aloof would not be a word which appears near the top of the page. Make no mistake, he is a cold calculating son of a bitch and that is putting it in polite terms. With his arm still held up high, the sadist bores holes into the oddly empty eyes of X with his own as if he is surveying the contents in place at the back of his opponent’s head. Deception suddenly cuts short his outlandish form of surveillance with a swift charge at his meagrely wounded foe, his arm still branched out crookedly and leading the way forward. The reason for the “Dark One” ceasing his act of research is not given an explanation but if you were to ask me I would have to say that nothing interesting can be found lurking inside the mind of the “Live wire”. Milliseconds into beginning the lunge at his foe Deception finds that his arm has travelled from point A to point B before the majority of his body has; point B being X’s tender jaw. Xstatic takes the walloping blow straight on the chin; literally. This ushers him into embarking on a rapid descent down to the ring flooring until his spinal column touches the canvas ending the short journey. There is no exaggerated selling of the strike upon landing. There is just the stark image of a man lying alone on the glistening mat in a sympathetically afflicted state; the pain below his mouth stinging worse then it would if besieged by a million hazing hornets... and the stillness itself sells the strike harder then any amount of writhing could. As the “Live Wire” remains in a dormant state the attentive audience attempt to sooth the mounting pain within the cruiserweight by setting the innards of the arena awash with druidic chants that call X’s name loud and proud.

Johnny: Deception takes a hell of a lot out of his opponent. More so then what is needed most of the time.

Donny: It's not like he's invincible or anything. He isn't Matt Blaze.

Johnny: You just had to make a cheap plug for Matt Blaze...

(OOC: Sure thing man. Anyways, don't worry about not posting in the last few days. Grr, my post didn't feel good to type)

::: With his name echoing in his ears, the smile on Xstatic’s face lingers around even longer. Maybe this euphoric atmosphere is helping lower his defences or maybe it’s just his unstable mind, but when the man puts up no fight to Deception grabbing his wrist people feel confused as to his approach to this match up. His body connects with the ring ropes as his foe prepares himself for the rebound, yet with two different minds working solitarily, two different outputs emerge. The enigma’s body lowers forward, as Xstatic on the other hand decides to go for a Cross Body. More like Over Body as the cruiserweight sails over Deception’s body … and unfortunately into the body of the vulnerable referee. A black and white blob forms on the canvas underneath Xstatic, who returns to his feet looking confused as to how this man ended up being on the receiving end of things. As for Deception, he focuses more on his assault as he pounces onto his foe’s body and tries to pull off a German Suplex to ground him. But an Elbow to his head loosens his grip, as the brawl continues without an official. Even with the referee out, neither man looks prepared to use this advantage in their favour but it doesn’t stop Matt Blaze from pacing to the ring. Steel chair in hand, he is obviously ready to leave his mark and score revenge for Xstatic’s cheating ways last week. His pace slows down until he spots the right moment to attack, as he slides under the ropes ready to unleash. Slowly but surely his target begins to turn around, and when the time feels right, a violent swing is taken. The sound of a cracking skull gets the crowd going, but more importantly shocks Matt Blaze to watch Xstatic dodge the bullet and instead nail The Enigma with the steel chair. The PWA veteran drops to the canvas in a heap, as a rather concerned Blaze quickly runs over to the fallen man. Xstatic can’t help but smile and laugh in delight as he quickly grabs his enemy’s tights and disposes of him by sending him over the ropes. The evidence lay in the ring, so before the stirring referee can begin to get an idea of what has happened, the Live Wire kicks the chair out of the ring as he begins to haul Deception back to a vertical base. To make everything seem more natural and clean, he makes sure the referee is semi-conscious before pulling out the stops. Locked in the Hammerlock, it only takes a matter of seconds before the full Three Degrees of X-Ecution is executed, sending Deception to the ground and to his metaphorical grave. Cockily, Xstatic covers his foe as the referee slowly counts … :::

….. ONE!
….. TWO!
….. THREE!

::: A stunned audience sit upright as Xstatic bolts upright, smiling like a madman. On the outside, Blaze shakes off the cobwebs and rolls into the ring, unable to catch the speedy Live Wire who bolts for the exits. He is followed by the referee who raise sup his arm, declaring him as the winner. :::

::: RING ANNOUNCER :::
THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH AS A RESULT OF A PIN FALL AND ADVANCING TO THE THREE HOURS OF POWER SEMI FINALS – XSTATIC!
