-The capacity crowd is on their feet, awaiting the commence of the main event, the big return match between ALX and the Intercontinental champion, Tommy Dragon. The crowd is anxiously awaiting the arrival of either combatant when suddenly, the lights dim and the crowd's attention is instantly turned toward the top of the stage. With everyone standing in the relative obscurity, the rolling of thunder can be heard over the PA, followed by the crackling of thunder. Suprising everyone, a strobe light effect begins circling the arena, giving it that storm effect with the lighting. After the last crackle of lightning however, a low somber string melody begins to play over the sound system, the type of somber melody you would hear played at a funeral or something of the sort. As the melody continues being played it is revealed to be none other than Adaigo for Strings by Samuel Barber, better known to the casual fan as the theme from Platoon.- -After about a minute of the chilling and somber melody playing over the PA, the song fades out, giving way to a voice and a chilling guitar instrumental which eeriely bombast over the PA.- "At the end of the road...to a path still unknown...where the fire will consumes and strike through to the end..." -The voice fades and the lights dim to darkness once again, leaving everyone in a state of confusion, the cryptic message striking a nerve with everyone in the arena. Suddenly, a distorted guitar riff plays over the PA and the crowd rises to their feet again. A spotlight flashes on the top of the stage and lights flash out into the crowd from the lighting fixtures that are attached to the entranceway as the riff transitions to a full-out hard, driving baseline. Slowing a bit, the voice of Chris Fragola from Render begins crooning the opening words to "Last Words".- You knocked me down You shut me out You couldnt let it go, let it go for me With a cold heart A wicked stare You wouldnt let it go, let it go for me -As the song intensifies, smoke starts formulating on the entranceway, making a small cloud as the voice of the lead singer becomes more pained and more powerful.- Look what you've done, Look what you've done... -With the song hitting it's chorus, the challenger and the man that once was the most beloved figure on the roster, but has now become the image of hatred for many fans across the globe makes his appearance. ALX walks through the cloud and stands at the top of the stage in black cargo pants and black combat boots.- Take What you gave These might be the last words that i say Time For goodbyes End of story, throw this old book away -The crowd jeers and hurls their insults incessantly at the self-proclaimed "Chosen One" as he claps his arms over his head in an "A", smirking all the while. Taking in the venom and thriving off of it, the young phenom makes his walk down the ramp.- Deceitful lies Ruthless games You couldnt let it go, let it go for me Took me for granted with no shame You wouldnt let it go, let it go for me Try to stay focused Try to strong strong Always attemping to right your wrong But my grip is slipping with each passing day And theres only one thing I can say -Whiping his boots as he stands on the apron, ALX steps through the ropes, entering the ring to a chorus of boos.- Look what you've done, Look what you've done.... -Standing as the center of attention, the chorus of the song repeating once more, ALX goes to the ropes and places a foot on the middle rope, leaning over the top, taking in the hatred and the animosity from those who used to cheer him.- Take What you gave These might be the last words that i say Time For goodbyes End of story, throw this old book away -Leaping off the ropes, ALX makes his way to the corner, stretching as the lights return to normal. He awaits the arrival of the champion, ready to stake his claim and take what he believes is destined to be his.- |

-The bell rings and the two gladiators begin to circle each other cautiously, trying to measure each other and then seek the opportunity presented to them by the lapse in their opponent's defense. It is no secret that these two men have been very well acquainted with each other, having partnered together in the past and having faced one another just a few weeks ago in what many called the match of the tournament in the THOP, and quite possibly what could have been the springboard to greater things for ALX and the unequivocal turning point in the young phenom's career. The Chosen One's body language is one of complete confidence, possibly to the point of being arrogance. He shows no fear and this air of invincibility as he stands just a few feet away the Hotshot. ALX truly believes that it is his destiny, his unquestioned birthright to be standing alone atop the peak of the PWA mountain and his newfound attitude and disposition to the company is seemingly going to ensure that he does whatever possible to succeed. On the other hand, Tommy stands himself the perfect picture of a vaunted champion, lacking any fear, showing complete class and composure, yet not underestimating the challenger in the least. It is a little known fact that Dragon believes that just a few weeks ago, the kid came close to having his number and in the weeks since then, has grown an appreciation, maybe even a respect for the youngster. With nothing between them except air and opportunity, Dragon extends his hands out of respect. The smug look on ALX's face tells all the needs to be said as he smacks Tommy's hand out of the way, eliciting a loud "OOH" from the crowd. An angered Hotshot immediately gets in the Chosen One's face, showing that their is no intimidation and stands nose to nose with his rival. The tension can be cut with a knife as this early and the roof is about to explode on the building. Their words increasing in intensity and insult, Tommy puts an end to the verbal warfare by throwing a quick slap across the face of the young phenom that echoes throughout the venue.- -Stumbling back a bit as he grabs his cheek, feeling the blush on his cheek from the force exhibited upon him, a wave of emotions begin barreling down on the youngster from Detroit. Turning toward Tommy with a snarl, ALX hurls himself forward, the two men locking in a Tie-Up. Forever one step ahead of the game, Dragon shows his craftiness and his veteran savvy and throws a few elbows to the side of ALX's head, dazing him and disorienting him momentarily. Taking advantage of his opponent's state, the Hotshot whips him across the ring, taking him down with a stiff Shoulder Tackle that sends the Chosen One quickly to the mat, his head snapping back against the canvas on the way down. A small smirk comes across Dragon's face as the confidence begins to rise and the feeling that his prior convictions were wrong and the idea that the kid truly can't hang with him start to take hold. Sauntering over slowly toward the downed body of the Chosen One, Tommy is taken by surprise as ALX rolls up and then wraps his legs around Dragon's neck, taking him down with quick Headscissors that comes completely out of nowhere. The crowd reacts with an appreciative gasp, the Hotshot quickly bouncing right back to his feet. Dragon rushes at his opponent who tries to counter the oncoming rush with a Spinning Heel Kick, only to have it ducked by Tommy. Turning back, ALX gets caught with a Hurricanrana by the Hotshot, Tommy's way of saying anything you can do, I can do that much better.- -The crowd pops appreciatively, the match thus far proving to be everything that it was expected to be. The fans rise out of their seats and get on their feet, eyeing the magical display of wrestling ability and athleticism that these two men are sure to present to them during the course of the night. A standoff ensues between the two men as a rattling of the barricades commences, the fans in the front row making their presence felt, thumping away. They circle each other once again before slowing down and coming toward each other, Dragon throwing an arm towards ALX to wrap him up and the young phenom alertly ducking and avoiding it. As they stand measuring each other up once again, ALX drops and sweeps out Tommy's leg with his arm, Dragon falling quickly to the canvas face-first. ALX grounds Tommy, wrapping his arms around the champion's midsection, but Dragon quickly powers out of it, swinging his legs in front of him and pushing to a standing position, his knees bent for leverage. Using his agility and quickness, the champion counters and gets behind ALX, tripping him up and driving him to the canvas before locking in a Side Headlock. The match has taken a methodical pace and with ALX in a grounded state, he grinds his heels into the canvas, trying to get a measure of ground underneath him to beginning fighting to his feet. Showing his courage, his desire and his strength, slowly, but effectively, the Chosen One powers to his feet, Tommy still wrenching in the Side Headlock. Managing to finally get himself enough momentum, ALX pushes Tommy and sends him across the ring into the ropes. As Dragon comes back at full-speed, ALX leapfrogs him, allowing Dragon to pass right underneath him. As Tommy comes back off the opposite ropes, ALX hits the deck, letting the champion high step over. With all the momentum and speed behind him as he finally comes off the ropes he originally started on, ALX springs off the canvas and executes a HUGE Dropkick that sends Dragon sprawling to the canvas.- -Trying to catch Tommy offguard, the challenger lays across the champion, looking for the pin. With everyone in the crowd looking in toward the ring with their hearts in their hands, ALX barely gets a one count as Dragon forces a shoulder up, proving that it will take alot more then that to pry the title from his grasp. Pulling off his opponent, ALX stands and pulls the Hotshot to his feet, scooping him and then slamming him down on the canvas with authority. Like a ball of fire, ALX continues with his seemingly constant motion, backing up into the ropes, then springing off, leaping in the air as he reaches the champion and driving his right knee down into the heart of the champion. ALX coers once more, looking for that elusive victory, that gold that has eluded him thus far and once again, only manages a one-count. The frustration begins to set in as the Chosen One smacks the canvas before manuevering his way around the body of the champion, lifting him to his feet once again. With both men at their vertical base, the young phenom begins to unload with a flurry of forearms to the jaw of the champion, disorienting him for the moment. Looking to string along an attack that will finally down the Hotshot, ALX goes into the bag of tricks, looking for the Discus Clothesline. As he comes around however, Tommy, out of desperation, throws a European Uppercut that lands squarely on the jaw of the challenger, forcing the young phenom to fall back, slumped ontop of the middle rope. With the matchup now in his control, Tommy rushes forward, driving his knee into the vulnerable head of his opponent, causing ALX to fall to the outside lifelessly as the crowd erupts with an "OOOH!"- -The crowd rises to their feet, thumping at the guardrails furiously as ALX attempts to pick himself off the cold padded floor of the venue, Tommy scouting him like a hawk from inside the ring. As soon as the young Detroit native reaches his feet, Tommy takes off, charging toward the ropes with reckless abandon. It's far too late when ALX realizes the situation he is in as Tommy dives through the ropes, crashing into ALX head-first with a perfectly executed Tope that sends the crowd into a relative frenzy and the almost required "HOLY SHIT" chant to escape from their lips. The two warriors lay motionless on the padding, the champion stirring first, if only ever so slowly. Making it to his feet, Tommy stumbles a bit before regaining his composure and pulling ALX to his feet. Eyeing the youngster with venom in his blood and disdain in his eyes, the champion doubles him over with a stinging chop to the chest. The control evident, Dragon latches on to ALX's hair, pulling him with him, over toward the corner where the timekeeper sits on the outside and pushes the timekeeper out of the way, sitting ALX down and then walking away a good distance. The arena rises to its feet, awaiting what is to come, the crowd buzzing with anticipation. As Tommy takes off and begins his sprint a loud "OOOOOOOOH" can be heard amongst the crowd, like the build-up to some big explanation. As he nears, ready to hit him with that giant boot that would of surely ended all of ALX's hopes and dreams, ALX rolls out of the chair and to the floor, allowing Tommy to completely miss and get himself hung up on the guardrail as the crowd groans. The groans however, turn into sudden exclamation and astonishment as ALX pushes himself off the floor and quickly leaps in the air, connecting with an Enziguri that sends the hung-up champion toppling over into the crowd. An appreciative roar from the crowd, and a clanging of the guardrails gives way to a chant of "P-W-A", ALX slowly crawling toward the ring, pulling himself up with help from apron, then climbing up on top of it. - -Looking back to his opponent who is barely stirring in the confines of the crowd, ALX starts exhaustedly and slowly climbing the turnbuckle, perching himself at the top, his back turned toward the corner where Tommy is now laying. The crowd looks up in worry, a bustle breaking out amongst the fans, a fan screaming out "Don't Do It, ALX!", a fruitless warning for the fearless youngster. Looking over his shoulder to await the moment the champion gets on his feet, ALX leaps off the turnbuckle, gliding through the air beautifully before coming down upon the champion in the crowd, the crowd coming unglued with the loudest pop of the night as the two men lay broken and destroyed following the picturesque Top Rope Moonsault from ALX.- |

Before the referee's hand drops, Tommy Dragon is released from the submission hold, ALX not wanting to risk this chance at the title. Both men attempt to ascend on their feet, trying to beat their opponent in standing on a vertical base. The Chosen One attacks first, but is knocked down by a sudden forearm to his skull. It appears that The Hotshot would pick up the win, but he is distracted by a chorus of boos. He looks over to the crowd and catches Sean Blake jumping the guardrail, attempting to enter the ring. Tommy rushes over, thrusting his foot into the head of the Television Champion until he halts his attempts at getting involved. Before the champion can turn around, he is placed into an inverted facelock. Tommy finds himself lifted slightly off the canvas before twisting around into the Hero's Welcome. Uopn impact, ALX hooks the legs and goes for the pinfall. 1... 2... 3!!! Ring Announcer: Here is your winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion...ALX!!! Instead of celebrating as "Last Words" hit the sound system, ALX begins to violently stomp at the former champion. He is joined by his new partner, both getting loud jeers from the fans as they assault the New Yorker. It appears no one would help the Dread Pirate King, when all of a sudden Piccie Smalls emerges with a bottle in hand. The men aren't sure of his intentions until he smashes it against the steel steps, making a nice weapon. As he enters, they exit through the crowd, one title richer than before. Piccie attends to his partner, not sure of how to tell him ALX had cost him the Intercontinental Championship once again. |
