Tommy Dragon
-------------

The technological display that normally accompanies the entrance of the Stunning Submissionist never occurs, as the soon-to-be entering competitor has decided to change his normal introduction. The silence of the arena is broken by one of the most infamous riffs in music, though not one from a guitar. No, it is an Eastern sitar that precedes the deadpan tone of Mick Jagger.

I see a red door and I want it painted black,
No colors anymore I want them to turn black.
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes,
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes.

I see a line of cars and they’re all painted black,
With flowers and my love both never to come back.
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away,
Like a new born baby it just happens every day.

The black curtain is shifted aside, revealing the technically skilled warrior with a look of determination on his face. Tommy Dragon appears in all black attire, seemingly painting all of his usual attire in the dim color before walking out for the contest. Along with the dark wrestling gear, he sports his old leather ring jacket with the hood pulled over to hide his own dark hair. He pulls at his goatee a bit, before throwing the hood back and raising his arms to his side, allowing a rain of golden pyrotechnics to fall on his exposed upper body. This gets a decent reaction from the crowd, his remaining loyal fans cheer loud enough so that the sound mixes with that of “Pain it Black” by the Rolling Stones.

I look inside myself and see my heart is black,
I see my red door and it has been painted black.
Maybe then Ill fade away and not have to face the facts,
It’s not easy facing up when your whole world is black.

The camera gets a shot of the backside of Tommy Dragon’s jacket, revealing an iron cross between the claws of the German coat of arms. This was a rather unorthodox symbol for the technician, but no one seems to mind. He heads closer to the ring, soon signaling to the ring announcer to give him his introduction.

Ring Announcer: Making his way to the ring, from New York City, New York and weighing in at two hundred and fifty one pounds, he is…“THE HOTSHOT” TOMMY DRAGON!!!

No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue,
I could not foresee this thing happening to you.
If I look hard enough into the setting sun,
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes.

I see a red door and I want it painted black,
No colors anymore I want them to turn black.
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes,
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes.

Tommy Dragon ascends the steel steps, looking out towards the fans packed inside the arena for tonight’s event. He cracks his head back and forth, doing some stretches as the music fades from the sound system. Once the ring area has gone silent, The Hotshot looks towards the audience in preparation for the coming battle.

----------

Announcer: Making his way to the ring and accompanied by his mananger and wife, Lightstar....from Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada, weighing 205.lbs....The Indystar!!

A spiral sound alerts the crowd to look up at the Pojotron, which shows the image of the Indystar, on one knee, doing the Muta pose, swirls into the entrance screen. "Galvanize" by The Chemical Brothers plays over the PA system while the lights in the entrance ramp blink and flash to the beat of the song.

DON'T HOLD BACK!
cause you woke up in the mornin, with initiative to move, so why make it harder...
DON'T HOLD BACK!
if you think about it, so many people do, be cool man, look smarter....
DON'T HOLD BACK!
and you shouldnt even care, bout those losers in the air, and their crooked stares...
DON'T HOLD BACK!
cause there's a party over here, so you might as well be here, where the people care...
DON'T HOLD BACK!

Indystar and his wife, Lightstar, walk onto the entrance way and head to the ring, their presence is greeted with a mixture of reactions. They shake and high five the many hands that reach out

the world, is holdin back...
the time has come to...
the world, is holdin back...
the time has come to...
the world, is holdin back...
the time has come to...

GALVANIZE!!!

c'mon, c'mon c'mon....

Indy enters the ring, just as the squared circle is showered in red and white paper streamers. Indy walks over to the fathest corner and climbs up to the middle and top turnbuckle.

DON'T HOLD BACK!
if you think about it too much, you may stumble, trip up, fall on your face...
DON'T HOLD BACK!
you think its time you get up, crunch time, like a sit up, come on keep pace...
DON'T HOLD BACK!
put apprehension on the back burner, let it sit, dont even get it lit...
DON'T HOLD BACK!
get involved with the jam, don't be a prick, hot chick, be a dick....
DON'T HOLD BACK!

He crosses his arms as the spot light engulfs him, giving him a sort of black and white look before lifting his legs up, balancing himself in a lying position on the toprope, waiting for the match to start.

the world, is holdin back...
the time has come to...
the world, is holdin back...
the time has come to...
the world, is holdin back...
the time has come to...

GALVANIZE!!!

Before the bell rings, Indy walks into the center of the ring and extends his hand as a sign of respect, hoping to lead the Hot Shot into a sense of false security. However, the American Wolverine gives the Canadian Smartass the middle finger, which Indy visibly is disgusted with. The hand shake turns into a bitch slap to the face of Tommy, turning his left facial cheek red with stinging pain.

Johnny: This will be interesting, one sadistic wrestler vs. another sadistic wrestler
Donny: This will be an interesting match

Finally the bell rings and Indy and Tommy go for the collar-elbow tie-up, but the Indystar tries to call it off, in hopes to goat PWA’s Personal Jesus to lose his temper but instead, Indy is pulled into a collar-elbow tie-up and into a headlock by the much larger Tommy Dragon. The cruiserweight champion drops to one knee as Tommy wrenched the neck, grinding the Asian’s throat with his bicep and forearm in hopes to weaken the Canadian Indystar. With all his strength, the Smartass without Fear pushes Tommy off him and into the ropes, only to be knocked over by a shoulder block from the Hot Shot. Running to the ropes, Tommy was about to stomp on Indy when the cruiserweight champion rolls out of the way; getting back to his feet, Indy leaps over a ongoing Tommy, rolls back and catches The Hot Shot, just as he bounced off the ropes for a third time, and throws him over with a swinging head scissors. The American Wolverine rolls out of it though and easily catches a running Indystar with a arm drag and catches him in a sitting head scissors, applying pressure around the Star’s skull. Indy tries to kip-up but with Dragon’s legs around his neck, he is unable to get to his feet. As Tommy applies more pressure, Indy starts extend his limps, trying to grab the ropes, just a few inches more and he would be free

Johnny: Indy is so close of escaping the head scissors
Donny: Wait…is that Lightstar?

While the referee is distracted by asking Indy if he was going to give up, Lightstar grabs her husband’s foot and pulls, not enough for the referee to notice but also allow Indy to rest his foot on the rope. Indy screams at the referee to look. As soon as the ref sees Indy’s foot on the rope, he turns to American Wolverine and tells him to release the head scissors. After a count of four, Tommy releases Indy but before throwing him out of the ring, The Hot Shot returns the favor from earlier in the match and bitch slaps Indy hard. The Canadian Smartass rolls out of the ring and is comforted by his wife, who slowly pulls out the salt bucket from under the ring. Sliding back into the ring from under the ropes, Indy asks the referee to keep Tommy away while he enters the ring completely; the referee complies and tells The Hot Shot to keep his distance. As Indy re-enters the ring, he stares angrily at the Patron Saint before making to his feet and racing towards him. Catching him by his arm, The Indystar whips Tommy into the ropes then dropkick him as he was returning. Disoriented, The American Wolverine is on his hands and knees, trying to get up but Indy drops his knee on the back of Tommy’s neck, knocking him back to the ground. With the former Intercontinental champion stunned, Indy scrapes his boot across the crown of the Patron Saint, causing the clutch the back of his head in pain; Indy intercepts Tommy’s hands and crosses them right under his chin

Johnny: Fortune Cookie time
Donny: Ouch, good bye Tommy’s first wind

Placing his foot across Tommy’s head, Indy attempts to stomp the skull of PWA’s Personal Jesus in half. He screams “Fortu-!” then is lifted off his feet, as Tommy starts to get up. Indy is toppled onto his back, which a now rejuvenated Tommy Dragon takes the opportunity of a life time and pins

One

Two-Kick out. Lifting the Indystar up, he whips him into the ropes then catches Indy in a sleeper hold, tightening his grip around Indy’s trachea. Indy struggles and waves his arms in hopes of getting help but slowly, he weakens. The referee lifts Indy’s arm, while his wife, the lovely Lightstar, starts the Indy chant

One!

He lifts Indy’s arm again, while Tommy shakes Indy like a rag doll

Two

The referee lifts Indy’s arm again but this time, they stay up. Grasping his other wrist, Indy elbows Tommy in the solar plexus, till finally the Hot Shot releases him from the dreaded sleeper hold. Like a madman escaping an asylum, Indy runs to the ropes just in front of him but then he drops to one knee and clutches the other. Screaming to the referee for help, Indy complains about a leg pain in his leg. Tommy is so absorbed by the situation, and possible of winning due to Indy’s incapacitation, that he barely noticed Lightstar pulling his foot till she pulled. After getting back his footing, Tommy turns to scream at the wench when he received an eye full of throwing salt!

Johnny: Tommy Dragon has just been given a Mr. Fuji trademark dirty tatic
Donny: Haven’t seen the salt is such a long time

As Tommy scratches the salt out of his eyes, Indy gets back on his feet, runs up to Tommy and applies the sleeper hold. While Tommy struggles, Indy drops the New Yorker in his patentant sleeper drop, slamming the back of the Patron Saint’s head into the ground. Indy pulls Tommy’s legs and folds him up like an accordion to pin

One

Two

Kick out. Indy gets back up and scrapes Tommy across the forehead till finally he busts right open. Indy elbow drops Tommy across the forehead before pinning again

One

Two

Lightstar prepares to hear the ring bell go off when the referee screamed “Two!!”

Lightstar: BOO!! Let Lightstar ref!!

Since there’s really no cornier way to say this: somehow, someway, Tommy Dragon is able to thrust his shoulder from the canvas and save himself the match. Now all calm is gone from the cruiserweight, who remains on top of his writhing opponent and rains down with a series of elbows across his already aching cranium. Crimson begins to stream across the face of The Hotshot, with the athlete suddenly becoming aware of the extent of his wound. While some would be discouraged by the smell, sight and taste of their own blood, it seems to empower an already disturbed technician. Indystar is shocked to find an outstretched hand shoved into his mouth, almost as if his foe were going for some variation of the clawhold. As his fingers begin to wriggle around in the open maw of his surprised attacker, Tommy sits up with an expression of hatred that sends chills down the spine of any nearby audience members. In a sickening scene, the twisted technician positions his other hand at the roof a his struggling challenger’s jaw and begins to push in opposite directions. The referee is stunned, one participant in a contest attempting to dislocate another’s jaw something he never thought he would witness. Although many are unsure of the legality of this, most agree with the official that this is probably against some rule as established by Pojo Wrestling. Therefore, it comes as no surprise when the assigned authority for this contest demands the New Yorker release his tortured adversary. The Patron Saint frees his former slave, but is quick to go for another method of offense. Tommy peels his victim off the canvas, hooking his head so that it rests just beneath his deltoid before lifting him perpendicular to the ring and dropping both men straight down. The resulting maneuver being a classic Brainbuster and it drives the skull of the Cruiserweight Champion into the springed surface of the ring instantaneously. With this move, the Canadian Smartass bounces from his crash site, rebounding from the fabric so that his back lies against the squared circle. This allows all to see his chest struggling to gain some oxygen, hoping to produce the sufficient amount of adrenaline required to shield these early inflictions as well as check his jaw for any damage. Using his vast encyclopedia of wrestling holds, PWA’s own Personal Jesus decides to utilize a maneuver he had not administered on an adversary in quite some time. Pulling at the kicking legs of his Canadian foe is a difficult enough task, but the added grapevine is only brought about by determination and a passion for suffering. It is the abdominal region that is the first to feel a jolt of pain, followed by a flexing in the spine that makes the Texas Cloverleaf a very effective hold when administered properly. The positioning make it impossible for Indystar to grab the ropes, as the submission maneuver was applied with the captor facing the nearest turnbuckle corner. Fortunately, the referee is too busy checking on the condition of the imprisoned superstar to notice Lightstar forcing her presence on the New Revelation once again. This time, she throws nearly her entire upper body under the bottom rope and pulls at the right foot of her husband’s enslaver. This is not enough to pull his foot out from under him, but it does annoy the warrior to the point where he lets go and pursues the young female. Tommy slides under the ropes, catching his fleeing prey and hurling her inside. The official rushes over, checking up on her while also helping her leave the battleground while the clever submissionist enters behind them with a steel chair in hand.

Donny: There’s the difference between Tommy and Indy right there. The Hotshot does his own cheating, he doesn’t need some chick doing it for him.

Tommy Dragon clasps his sword firmly before delivering the fatal swing, his weapon nearly striking the wounded cruiserweight across the skull. Unfortunately for the technician, Indystar was able to react just in time - ducking beneath the chair - and remains unfazed. This alone would be enough to change match momentum, but there is an additional insult to injury caused by an untimely ring rope. The metallic surface slaps the top cable and rebounds, right into the forehead of it’s wielder. Upon impact, the loud smack echoes throughout the arena while The Hotshot stumbles away. He eventually drops the object; the submissionist in too much of a daze to either hold onto his weapon or notice that his Canadian cohort was no longer inside the squared circle. Instead, the self-proclaimed smartass is on the apron, pushing himself up onto the turnbuckle as his adversary tries to recover. With his wife cheering him on, the Cruiserweight Champion launches himself from the very top of the steel post - spinning his body so that he is parallel to the mat while closing in on the Patron Saint. The resulting Diving Crossbody appears a success, as both attacker and victim fall to the canvas as anticipated. Really, the only complaint after a picture prefect maneuver was that Tommy’s back just doesn’t stay to the mat long enough. In one clever rolling motion, PWA’s Personal Jesus forces himself over his challenger and retains possession of the champion’s anatomy. Indystar tries his best to escape the clutches of his foe, but it is vain as the New Yorker stands confidentially with his captive still in hand. Obviously still suffering from that ill-fated chair shot, all of the technician’s energy is put first into hoisting the lighter warrior upwards. Next he takes a split second to adjust and distribute the weight baring on his shoulder before spinning the athlete around similar to how Triple 6 ends his matches. Of course, the narcissistic gladiator would need to alter his move, releasing his slave into a freefall while leaping off the canvas. A falling skull meets a rising knee, two competitors land exhausted on the springed surface and the fans are on their feet; all this mayhem caused by the introduction of Tommy Dragon’s newest trump card - the Ivory Tower. Although the attack could not have gone any better during the actual procedure, it’s inventor was now too paralyzed to capitalize on it’s effectiveness. The referee watches as the bloodied New Revelation attempts to regain himself for the pinfall, but will it be in time or will the stunned Indystar be able to recover?

(OORP: Both men down, taking a ton of damage and a rush to recovery that could decide the match. I think this is how all THoP matches should be. Good luck dude.)

How could he prepare for that? While the referee’s voice drones on, Indy thinks how could he watched some of Tommy’s matches but he never saw the airplane spin variation of the G2S in the tapes he saw. Tommy is able to awaken long enough to stop the count and pin his opponent. The referee drops to his knees and begins to count

One

Two

Thre-NO!! Indy throws his arm up, kicking out of the pin. Tommy curses himself silently as he starts to plan out his neck attack on the Indystar. He grabs the Canadian Smartass by his hair but, like another famous Saskatoonian, Indy extends his index and middle finger and pokes Tommy in the eyes. The referee complains of the dirty tactic but Indy, who is barely keeping his balance, cracks The Hot Shot with across the head with a hard right, splattering drips of blood across his right arm. While the American Wolverine stumbles back, Indy hits him with a round of south paw punches, rattling the brain and eyeballs in The Patron Saint’s head. As expected, Indy rolls his arms, pulls his hip out then hits Tommy over the head with a bionic elbow. Being knocked off hit feet by a bionic elbow, Tommy lies on his back, a bit dazed from Indy’s attacks while the Indystar goes to the top rope. Crouching down while on the top turnbuckle, Indy leaps up, and goes for a knee drop across PWA’s Personal Jesus skull but misses, since his opponent moved. Tommy is not on his feet but is in a more vicious position, close to Indy’s now injured knee. The Stunning Submissionist puts his nick-name to good use by grabbing the top of Indy’s foot and knee and forcefully pushes in Indy’s leg, putting strain on Indy’s knee. Indy tries to kick Tommy away, as panic and fear overwhelm him, but Tommy flips Indy onto his stomach, using one of his own feet to keep the knee folded up then applies a single leg crab on the other leg, giving Indy a double dose of pain. The Canadian Smartass reacts by grabbing his hair, pulling his hair, screaming and clawing at the mat, trying to get to the ropes in time. The crowd cheers for Indy but its not working, for Tommy is exactly 45.lbs heavier than Indy and his weight is crushing down on his lower body and is applying a knee-fold submission and a single crab at the same time. At one point, Indy goes to tap out but instead, he grabs his head and screams in pain,

Johnny: Indy is freaking out
Donny: Well if your girlfriend was taken out, you’d be in pain too

Finally, the Indystar gains the strength to claw towards the ropes; his nails help him pull towards the metal cables, while Tommy tries to pull back, knowing his submissions will eventually work. Finally, after a couple minutes in leg-pain hell, Indy grabs the ropes for dear life. The referee turns to Tommy and tells him to release the holds, giving him a four count to release them. The Hot Shot releases the holds, allowing the Canadian Smartass roll out of the ring. As soon as Indy leaves the ring, his knee folds under the pressure and he drops to one knee, screaming in pain. As the referee counts, Indy slowly re-enters the ring and the Cruiserweight champion uses the ring corner to support himself. Tommy walks up to Indy and the two combatants lock up in a collar elbow tie-up. The Patron Saint pulls Indy out of the corner then pushes him down to the ground for a pin

One

Two

Indy kicks out but Tommy hooks Indy’s injured leg for another pin attempt

One

Two

Indy kicks out. Tommy lifts Indy up by his hair but Indy slaps the American Wolverine’s ears, screwing up his senses and stunning him, long enough for Indy to get an advantage. The Canadian Smartass kicks the leg from under Tommy, causing the Hot Shot to stand on one knee. In the perfect position, Indy backs up and races towards Tommy, steps up and hits the Star Treatment, across the side of the head of the Genex Dragon’s skull. However, besides Indy used the leg he injured in the match, he was also out. The referee begins to count out the two wrestlers, with Johnny and his brother discussing what would happen if both of them were counted out.

(GL Tommy. Sorry for pulling this mini-shocker of a post)

Both men try their best to recover, neither wanting to be eliminated in the first round of this year's Three Hours of Power tournament. Unfortunately, neither of them are also in the position to score the victory at this moment. Their bodies lie against the canvas, with Indystar proving to be the better man as he slowly turns himself around and looks over at the fallen anatomy of his adversary. The Cruiserweight Champion drags his weight towards the Patron Saint, pressing his chest down against his opponent for a pinfall cover. Just as the referee slides over for the count, an arm wraps itself around the Canadian warrior, rolling the champion over and onto the mat. Meanwhile, with his last ounce of energy, Tommy Dragon snakes himself over to the injured limb of his foe, applying the Dragonlock. The hold is firmly locked in, leaving Indystar with very little time to react. It takes longer than anticipated, but eventually he succumbs to the pain and taps his hand against the canvas.

Ring Announcer: Here is your winner via submission...TOMMY DRAGON!!!

The Hotshot releases the hold, too exhausted to apply the torment he longs to inflict. Knowing it would be best to flee, he slides to the outside and stumbles up the entrance ramp to the sounds of "Paint it Black", Lightstar checking on her husband in the ring.
