-------------- Devlin Jackson -------------- Devlin Jackson enters. --------------- AleXtreme --------------- "X-Stream" by Voivod hits the PA System as the crowd starts to cheer. They all know AleXtreme is about to make his way to the ring. By the curtain, red and blue fireworks burst out. They hit the roof and explode into beautiful dust. Sparks come out where the fireworks just did as AleXtreme bursts through them. He looked at the crowd and was satisfied as to what he saw. He raised his hands up to his X Cross Arms taunt as the arena lights soon flash red and blue very quickly. AleXtreme walks down the ramp while slapping some of the hands of the audience. The announcer then starts to speak into his microphone. Announcer: Introducing, from Chicago, Illonois, weighing at a 270 pounds, THE EXTREMINATOR, AL,EX,TREEEEME! He rolls into the ring again and does his X Cross Arms taunt. The Lights go to normal as he does a few warm up stretches. ____________________________________ THREE HOURS OF POWER - ROUND 1 - BRACKET C Regular Match Rules |

The two men have obviously been looking forward to getting a title shot, Devlin actually having gotten a couple, none of which he was able to capitalize on. The only way, however, that Devlin would let that happen again was if he was beaten to death, but let’s not get into that now. Right now, it is time for Devlin Jackson to move onto the second round of the Three Hours of Power tournament. Just a couple weeks ago, AleXtreme and Devlin had been scheduled for a match. That match, however, ended in a draw due to the two brawling beyond the ten-second limit outside the ring. Knowing that this match means something brings a new meaning to competition, and Jackson knows this. His eyes lock onto his opponent, and both men begin circling around the ring in classic fashion, each waiting for the other to make a move. The crowd goes silent, waiting for the other to make the first move, but neither moves closer first. Instead, both leap forward, engaging in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. The battle seems neutral at first, both men pushing against the other in order to get an advantage. The referee circles around the two men, making sure nothing illegal is occurring. When the small man in the black-and-white T-shirt is satisfied, he backs off, keeping an eye on the heel of the match, Devlin, as he is the more likely to pull dirty tactics during this bout. AleXtreme, being the slightly larger man, forces the former Cruiserweight back into the corner, showing off his strength to the crowd. The referee squeezes in between the two men in order to separate them. “The Extreminator” raises his hands up into the air in order to show that he has broken his contact with “The Next,” who also raises his hands. AleXtreme stands in front of the smaller man, speaking a little bit of his mind. Jackson, not seeming to agree with the words spoken, pushes the larger man, who stumbles backwards. Jackson uses this opportunity to gain some movement area, stepping back out towards the center of the ring. He doesn’t manage to keep this space for long, as Alex pushes the relative veteran back to his starting position. Jackson leans back against the turnbuckle for a moment, looking around at the crowd, who by this time are cheering for the face of the match. Devlin steps forwards once more, meeting the large man in the middle of the ring. The former Cruiserweight champion raises his chin, looking up into the eyes of the large man, and both begin to exchange words. It seems that the two men don’t exactly see eye to eye. This observation is made when Jackson’s right hand comes up and his open palm strikes the face of the pudgy-looking man. Boos echo throughout the arena as Alex’s head jerks to the side. Alex reaches up and rubs the place of contact, looking out into nowhere for a moment before his head snaps back with a look of furiousity in his eyes. He takes a couple steps forwards, taking room away from his opponent until there is no more room to be taken away. It is only then that “The Extreminator” raises his fist and delivers a swift but powerful blow to his adversary’s jaw, knocking his head to the side. This action is repeated a few more times until Jackson drops down onto his knees, pleading for the larger man to stop his vicious assault of right hooks. Alex ignores his pleas and reaches down, grabbing a handful of hair in order to lift the 260-pounder back onto his feet. This is a mistake, however, as Jackson reaches up and plants a thumb right into the eye of his opponent. Alex covers his eyes and turns around in order to try and nurse the eye back to health as the crowd releases a rain of boos down on the heel. They were hoping he could manage without using dirty tactics such as eye pokes, but they should have known better. Although the man could indeed go without using cheap shots, he felt that they were at his convenience and thus could use them without worrying. The referee approaches “The Next” and begins warning him. Jackson ignores his warnings, pushes himself back to a vertical base, and proceeds to kick his opponent’s knee out from under him. Due to this action, AleXtreme falls backwards, hitting the canvas back first, a loud echo ringing throughout the arena. Jackson looks around him at the crowd, revealing a large smirk on his face. He was willing to take a few shots to the face in order to gain the upper hand, and this showed on his gleaming face. He dares not wait long, knowing that the large man could well be up and roaring like a bear, and so he turns his attention back to his opponent and delivers a couple vicious stomps to the side and abdomen. If this pace keeps up, then Devlin Jackson just may well be moving onto the next round of the competition. |

OOC: Good Luck dude. BIC: As Jackson continues his assault on AleXtreme with his feet, AleXtreme sees a flaw in his plan to keep the bigger man grounded. As one of Devlin's feet is about to make contact with his ribs, AleXtreme reacts quickly and grabs Jackson's leg. Without a moment to think about it, AleXtreme rolls over to his right while holding Jackson's foot, causing the Next to start falling forward. His face was the first part of his body to make contact with the mat below him; his head bouncing off of it when it landed. AleXtreme quickly rolled over and bounced to his feet, ready to fight. Devlin shook his head a bit and started to lift himself up, his eyes glued on AleXtreme. As his body is slowly dragged up, he cautiously watches every single movement AleXtreme makes, knowing that he can strike without a moments notice despite his large size. As soon as Jackson had come to a vertical base, he backed up, his eyes still stuck on his opponent. Both men started walking towards the center of the ring again with their arms raised in the air. As they neared for another locked up, Devlin did the typical heel tactic of stomping on AleXtreme's foot. AleXtreme's attention seemed to leave Devlin and focused on his foot, and The Next was ready to take advantage. He quickly walked over to AleXtreme in order take control of the match in it's early stages. Just when he thought everything was safe, AleXtreme suddenly threw his arm forward and caught Jackson completely by surprise. AleXtreme connected with a powerful Clothesline that caused Devlin to be knocked backwards in a most uncomfortable and displeasing way. Jackson's back hit the mat with a sickening thud as AleXtreme looked down at him. As soon as Jackson was turned away from AleXtreme, Alex grabbed Jackson's shoulders and started to raise him up to his feet. As he was being lifted forward, he was also being pushed in the direction of the ropes. As The Next was standing, his body was against the ropes. AleXtreme grabbed the left arm of his opponent and sent Jackson into the ropes paralell to the ones they were resting on. As soon as Devlin's body hit the ropes, he ricocheted off of the and ran back faster than he started. As he neared AleXtreme once again, AleXtreme grabbed him from his waist. In less than a second, Jackson was hoisted up into the air and out of control. AleXtreme then threw himself down, dropping The Next into a Spinebuster. As Devlin's back collided with the ring below, a grimace of pain appeared on his face. He let out a terrible scream that seemed to shake the rafters. AleXtreme stayed on his knees to watch as Devlin screamed out from the powerful move. He lifted himself, still bent, and still looking down at Devlin. He grabbed Devlin's hair and attempted to lift him up. Jackson could not let the battle turn into a one sided battle, or at least against him. As Jackson's body was being brought up, Jackson threw his right fist blindly in the general direction of AleXtreme's head. Luckily for him, Jackson's fist made contact with AleXtreme's skull and forced AleXtreme to let go and move back. Jackson turned around and was on all fours. He crawled over to the ropes desperately in order to escape his mighty opponent. He grabbed the ropes and started to lift himself. AleXtreme shook the cobwebs out of his head after the swift blow courtesy of Jackson. As he looked up, he saw Jackson flying towards him. He had no time to react and Jackson had him right where he wanted him. Jackson jumped into the air and landed right on AleXtreme. He knocked him down into a Lu Chez Press. As soon as AleXtreme's body fell straight onto the mat, Jackson started throwing out rights and lefts into the face of AleXtreme. AleXtreme could barely do anything about it, and could only try to put his hands up in defence. After quite a few good whacks to AleXtreme's head, The Next felt satisfied with what he had just done. He removed himself from AleXtreme's body, but did not get to his feet. Instead, he rolled the big man over onto his stomach. He put his legs around AleXtreme's left arm and was beginning to put his hands around AleXtreme's face, thus locking in a Crippler Crossface. AleXtreme knew what was going on, though, so he used everything in his power not to get caught up in a painful submission maneuver like this one. His struggle was worth watching as his valient soul would keep on fighting his way out of the move. Finally, Jackson balled both of his hands into one spot and threw it down, cracking AleXtreme over the skull with a Double Axe Handle, sending his face into the ring mat. The struggle to apply the move was finally over for The Next and Jackson was now ready. He put both of his hands around AleXtreme's face, right around the nose, thus officially locking in a Crippler Crossface. The Extreminator instantly let out a deafening scream after the move was applied and franticly searched for a way out of the masterful hold. When he realized he was in no position to outwrestle Jackson at the moment, he knew his only option would be to outpower his smaller opponent. He struggled his way up and was able to get himself to one knee. Jackson started punching AleXtreme in the back of his head in a last minute attempt to keep the hold on. AleXtreme ignored the pain, though, for he knew that there was only one way he could move on to the next round, and being in a submission wasn't going to help his chances. AleXtreme used all of his energy and elevated himself up to his feet, with Jackson on his shoulders. The Next knew something bad was about to happen, and his intuition was correct. AleXtreme dropped backwards and gave Jackson a Samoan Drop! Both men lay on the floor as the ref checked on both men. He then started his 10 count. Johnny: Wow. This looks to be a promising match this week. Donny: Indeed it does. Unlike their last encounter. . . |

And what a seemingly long ten count it would be, at least for the two competitors in the ring. Of course the man known as AleXtreme would be in less obvious pain, as he had just delivered a Samoan Drop out of desperation in order to attempt to turn the tides. How long he will have the advantage no one knows, but, this thought running through his mind, he is determined to make the most of it. As the referee reached a three count, he crawled the foot needed in order to grasp onto the ropes and began pulling himself up, this feat obviously taking much effort due to both his weight and the physical toll professional wrestling takes on one’s body. This does not seem to be the case this time around, however, and Alex manages to get back to his feet by the time the referee reaches six. Devlin Jackson, on the other hand, has a much harder time. The trauma from his back smashing into the canvas is only temporary, but in its wake an invisible bruise appears. Coupled with his heat ricocheting off of the mats beneath him, this impresses upon the man a great deal of a different kind of pain. The pain is not enough to keep Devlin down, as there is much more at stake here than his body. His pride and his chance at getting a title shot would go out the window if he simply gave up at this point, and that is not about to happen, at least in Devlin’s mind. The thought of losing the match comes to mind almost immediately, but “The Next” decides to take as much time as possible to recuperate. It’s not long, though, until he hears the referee’s distant voice announcing that five seconds have elapsed since both men went down. Jackson rolls over onto his stomach and begins pushing himself up with his arms, blood pulsing in his arteries in an attempt to keep the muscles working smoothly. By six, Devlin is up onto both knees, and at eight the man is standing. Standing is really an overstatement, however, as the former cruiserweight is closer to falling than maintaining his balance. He wobbles, but the ropes catch him. AleXtreme, noticing that his opponent has regained his feet, takes three strides to close the gap between the two, winds up, and delivers a harsh right hand directly into the jaw of the slightly smaller opponent. Devlin’s body doesn’t take this in stride; “The Next” falls backwards into the ropes, the steel cables building outwards, as one would expect when 260 pounds lean against them. Using this leverage can turn out to be advantageous, especially in the former Cruiserweight Champion’s situation, and that is precisely what the PWA veteran intends to do. He pushes back against the ropes a little bit more before stepping forwards, the added power of the steel cables’ recoil showing with the speed of the lunge. Devlin extends his own right arm and plants his fist directly into the temple of his opponent. Alex takes a step backwards before delivering another blow of his own in an attempt to initiate a further exchange of fists. Knowing that this would be a battle lost right away, Devlin takes extra time against the ropes in order to think of a way out of this predicament. It only takes him a moment until he thinks of something. Instead of wasting precious energy and swinging yet again, “The Next” simply reaches up with both hands and rakes the eyes of his adversary. As a result, AleXtreme grabs onto his eyes and turns around in an attempt to nurse his injured eyes back to health. Content with this cheap tactic, Devlin looks around the arena, tapping his temple to show that he can think. Jackson does not waste much time, ignoring the referee’s warnings and delivering a forearm directly into the back of the opponent to see exactly how this could possibly play out. |

After Jackson's forearm was planted into the skull of AleXtreme, he stumbled forward, only stopped by the ropes in front of him. Jackson started pacing his way towards his bigger opponent to gain the advantage in this match again. About halfway there, he had decided in his mind that he charge forward and knock AleXtreme down to his back, a position Jackson enjoyed to see his opponents in. Hid powerful legs pushed his body forward at a very quick pace. He soon caught up with The Extreminator and was ready to begin his attack. AleXtreme saw Jackson rushing at him from the very corner of his eye and instinctively, he reacted to save himself. Without a single thought about it, he fell to the ground right on his back. Jackson did not have enough time to do anything as his mind was clouded with thoughts of mopping the floor with his opponent and moving on to the next round of PWA's Three Hours of Power Tournament. He ran blindly into the impromptu trap created by AleXtreme. The Next ran straight into a Drop Toe Hold that caused his neck to be guillotined by the heavy ring ropes. After Devlin's neck made an encounter with the ropes, he fell straight down onto his back once again. Jackson positioned himself closer to the ropes and rolled out of the ring in an attempt to get a break from his resilient opponent. Jackson walked his way over towards the barricade, holding his throat with one hand and the barricade with the other. AleXtreme used the ropes to pull himself up to a vertical base very slowly. As he was lifting himself up, he noticed Jackson had no idea what he was going to do next, and AleXtreme could take advantage. Once AleXtreme successfully made it to his feet, he stepped back a few feet. He examined how big the area he had to perform his magic was. An unsuspecting Devlin turns around and is in time to see AleXtreme jumping over the top rope! AleXtreme delivers a Crossbody from over the ropes! When AleXtreme's body met with Devlin's, it seemed like a truck wreck you see in a movie; 2 men colliding and bodies everywhere. The fans were excited after seeing the amazing AleXtreme do what he does best. Both men were down on the floor after high risk moved executed by The Extreminator. The referee rolled out of the ring and inspected the damage that had been caused. Once he came to the conclusion that both men were knocked unconscious and had no choice but to start a 10 count. As his count reached a "6," AleXtreme had barely started moving his body. He backed up with his arms on the barricade and managed to get to his feet. Once he heard the ref count to an "8," he realized he was in a bad position. He saw the ring in front of him and dashed forward, hoping to escape the count and become victorious, even if it meant by count out. He slid into the ring, and was thinking he was safe. What he didn't realize was that Devlin had grabbed onto his ankle, and was now on one knee. AleXtreme could no longer advance forward into the ring, and Devlin was not ready to lose yet. Devlin pulled AleXtreme back outside the ring and the 10 count was restarted before the ref could finish his original count. Both AleXtreme and Devlin were attempting to catch their breath outside of the ring while the fans in the arena were just waiting for them to explode. Thoughts of winning the match by any means necessary were the only things running through their minds. AleXtreme regained his energy a bit faster than his opponent, and he was about to use it to his advantage. He walked over to The Next quickly as the ref was at a count of "3". As he approached him, Devlin threw out another Right Hook at AleXtreme's face in an attempt to stop the man. After his fist bounced off of AleXtreme's face, AleXtreme merely shrugged it off and continued forward. AleXtreme grabbed Devlin and threw him violently into the direction of the ring. Jackson's back bounced off the edge of the ring and a sharp pain ran through his spine. AleXtreme walked over to him again and pushed his body into the ring. AleXtreme climbs onto the apron and heads over to the direction of the ring post. When he got an inch or two away, he put his foot up to the second rope and started climbing. When he got to the very top, he waited for a moment as a dazed Devlin managed to get himself to his feet. When Devlin turned around, AleXtreme jumped off and was prepared to deliver a load of damage on his opponent. Jackson met his opponent as AleXtreme perfectly executed a Diving Spear onto Devlin. AleXtreme rolled over and went for the cover on Jackson in order to end the match. 1, 2 . . . Donny: That could end the match! AleXtreme’s momentum was too strong on that one! Johnny: Knowing Jackson, he’ll be able to go on for a while longer. I disagree with you, Donny. Johnny predicted what would happen correctly as Jackson’s shoulder shot up off the mat. AleXtreme looked down at him with some frustration in his face, for he thought he had put Jackson away. AleXtreme rose up to his feet and quickly considered his options. He shook his head and went into action. He bent down and grabbed Jackson’s hair. As he started to pull Devlin up, The Next threw his arm up with a fist at the end of it. He gave AleXtreme a sneaky Uppercut straight to his jaw. AleXtreme was caused to abandon his plan and to nurse his jaw back to health as quickly as possible. Jackson got up and used his legs to rush over to AleXtreme. He pushed AleXtreme backwards, and his body crashed right into the ref. The ref fell fast and fell straight on his face. He was knocked out. AleXtreme was also on the floor, still holding his jaw from the uppercut. This gave Jackson some time to be evil. He rolled out of the ring and started looking under the ring for a weapon. He found a Steel Chair and threw it over the ropes. He rolled back into the ring and lifted himself up. He walked over to the chair and picked it up just as AleXtreme came to his knees. Jackson creped up behind AleXtreme as he had his back turned towards Jackson. Once he turned around, Jackson swung the chair straight at The Extreminator’s face, but with little luck. AleXtreme ducked the ferocious and unforgiving steel and left Jackson temporarily stunned. Jackson was about to swing the chair again when AleXtreme sent his foot flying towards him. AleXtreme’s foot gave The Next a Low Blow, which made Devlin instantly drop the chair and hold his injured groin. AleXtreme picked the chair up and inspected its fine craftsmanship. He considered hitting his dirty opponent with it, but he decided on another idea. He unfolded the chair and put it on the mat, so it was in a position where someone could sit down on it. AleXtreme once again grabbed Jackson’s hair and picked him up off of his knees. He dragged him over to the area where the steel chair was lying. He put Devlin’s head in between his legs as they were over the steel chair. AleXtreme lifted the body of Devlin into the air, with Jackson upside down and his head facing the steel. AleXtreme dropped Jackson straight onto the steel chair into a Piledriver! Jackson’s head bounced off of the steel as the chair bent under the weight. Jackson was knocked totally unconscious as AleXtreme even looked shocked at what damage he had just caused. AleXtreme rolled Jackson off of the steel wreckage and grabbed the chair. He threw the evidence outside of the ring as the ref was starting to get up to his feet. AleXtreme, still on his knees, rolled over to Jackson, who was on his stomach. AleXtreme put the Next’s arm around his shoulders and locked his arms around Jackson’s face, locking in his South Boarder Stretch Jackson was knocked out. He couldn’t even tap out. OOC: Man, I felt totally unmotivated. I'm just going to post what I have. Try to work with it. |

In such a sadistic situation, the official would normally warn off the life threatening species in this two man altercation, but something unreal kept the man from calling for the bell, as though he was in tone with Devlin's mind and could read his well being. The man committed to the submission hold tweaked himself tighter with every lasting second leaving less of a window for an escape to the victim; but it was enough of a crevice to squeeze out of. With a sudden gush of energy flowing through his restless appendages, the season veteran broke free of the grasp at such a might to push his counterpart away and onto his spinal region. The momentum did not stop there; in fact, Devlin was the first of the two ring warriors to hobbles onto his feet! He's eyes quickly locked onto AleXtreme's own and his harsh pursuit began. Of course, it was a mere three steps, but the viciousness of the pace stung Alex's mind, convincing him the worst was yet to be seen. His arms flailed before his face in automatic defensive mechanism fashion, his eyes grew to the size of small rounds. Devlin's own eyes matched in dilation, but because of a further meaning: rage. With a mind of it's own, one might take, "The Next's" boot drove like a javelin into the opponent's soft sternum, causing him to crush back onto his spine. The leather straps surround the foot mocked the first altercation with another, and thus a frenzy cycle of Angry Stomps were born. Ten thundering jabs later, the attack because a rage of raining fists pummeling Alex's head tender. The fallen fighter's arms remained intact of partial protection, but they were not enough to block about three-fourths of the flinging knuckles aiming for his skull. Alas, this task too got tiresome and Mr. Jackson rushes his body backwards, reeling in Alex as he went along in motion. The flow generated into an Irish Whip that sent the defender running towards the ring cables. Naturally, he repelled off with maximum velocity becoming his most hated foe. His physical run ended when the standing ring warrior ripped him off the track and dominated his body in such a way to connect the finisher The Decapitator. All the world could feel the heart of the Xtreme one sink as did his hopes to becoming the next World Champion to every pound of the mat. One! Two! Three! The match was off. The bell was tolled. A winner was proclaimed. Announcer: And the Winner of this Match, DEVLIN JACKSON!!!! "The Pot" by PaTool sang in all its glory throughout the arena as eager boo's ensued the winner of a round one Three Hours of Power match. The camera, focused on all of Devlin's success, fades out. |
