THREE HOURS OF POWER - ROUND 2 - BRACKET B ------------------ Black Dragon ------------------ *Black Dragon enters* -------------------------- Julio Guerrera -------------------------- The fans, most of which were expecting to hear AFI's Miseria Cantare are surprised, instead, to hear the words "I hope they never forget me.." coming out of the speakers. Those words are quickly followed by the rest of Julio Guerrera's new theme song, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "Never Forget Me". Going thru the struggles everyday on this pavement an every hood I see em doin the same there's alot of haters that don't want me to make it all I want is for you to remember my name So that you never forget me So that you never forget me ohhhhuhhhohhh So that you never forget me So that you never forget me ohhhhuhhhohhh My reputection is solid yall n my street credits unpolished yall known as a lil boss hawk in the hood boy in my hood imma superstar niggaz in the pen tryna hold a nigga down but I put in my work in check it check it nah these niggaz respect it knowin im the wrong one they wanna mess wit from the gutter wit my brothers doin these ghetto streets they don't love us lettin these undercovers these motha fuckers doin everything they tryna bust us but these suckaz know they cant touch us they envy deep in they hearts if they eva try to rush us nigga they know we gone rip em apart niggaz go hard from the start nigga this nina ross is my body guard fuck wit mine an ill charge lil krayzy ass nigga at large pullin cards on these lame niggas ill neva let go of my heat yea stand up man on his feet lil layzies bone and them 3...memba me Going thru the struggles everyday on this pavement an every hood I see em doin the same there's alot of haters that don't want me to make it all I want is for you to remember my name So that you never forget me So that you never forget me ohhhhuhhhohhh So that you never forget me So that you never forget me ohhhhuhhhohhh we be, poppin collas, throwin dollas indeed in the hood getting money, Boi I got what you need Hah we hott, you cold, that ice, on froze that six, whole chrome, them bricks, they glow drop yo crisp cases, and watch drop them big faces leaning like a thug, hittin the club throwin big faces This is for them dope boys choppin in the trunk goods welcome to ma hood, hood, home of the dope boys Going thru the struggles everyday on this pavement an every hood I see em doin the same there's alot of haters that don't want me to make it all I want is for you to remember my name So that you never forget me So that you never forget me ohhhhuhhhohhh So that you never forget me So that you never forget me ohhhhuhhhohhh Remix! For the first time in recent memory, Black Dragon had the chance to prove himself against a much more worthy opponent. The veteran had kept on finding ways to win in some of his more recent matches and he had a feeling that he would do the same tonight. Julio Guerrera was different though. The established wrestler was the Leader of Wrestling and Revolution and would surely compete on the same level Black Dragon wanted to compete. There was also the slight touch of personal feelings added to the much, it was clear that from Backstage both men did not like each other. The senior official finished checking both wrestlers and walked over to the center of the ring, calling for the bell and the beginning of the match. Ding! Ding! Ding! Immediately, Black Dragon adopted a change in his doctrine. Unlike the previous matches, he took the offensive. “The Messiah” however quickly dodged the offensive attempt and quickly threw himself down, hugging the canvas. Black Dragon had no choice and instinctively jumped over Guerrera. Breaking against the ropes, the 7-footer quickly turned around. The quick speed and ring work of the Hispanic veteran prevailed, his legs being sent high into the air against the upper torso of Black Dragon. The much taller Wrestler was sent over the ropes from the Dropkick impact. Black Dragon prevented himself from hitting the arena floor hard and quickly used his hands to stop his body from falling farther. Knowing the sadistic abilities of his opponent the lesser veteran of the Pojo Wrestling Alliance quickly forced himself upwards and found his footing. Julio Guerrera however was watching his prey like a vulture, waiting against the ropes on the same side and using his trademark taunts to in an attempt to begin a more psychological match. The referee started the count out, which forced Black Dragon to change his strategy. He quickly forced himself onto the edge of the canvas and sacrificed his body as he rolled under the ropes, immediately meeting the furious boots from his opponent. After forcing the larger competitor to recover from the brief stomping, the Mexican veteran launched himself backwards and bounced off the ropes on the other side of the arena. As he approached the center of the arena his body went sliding downwards, his legs went forward as he connected a Baseball Slide right into the head of Black Dragon. Black Dragon however was able to keep himself from falling outside again and quickly grabbed the ropes to prevent the momentum from carrying him further. To prevent another assault from Julio, the referee restrained him by yelling, although the leader of War and Revolution wasn’t going to listen. It was enough time however for Black Dragon to get up, although a bit dazed. Julio quickly threw a left hook, aiming to put further damage into Black Dragon’s head. The punch was met with a counter however, surprising Julio, who felt the same move collide against his skull. The hit from Black Dragon was perhaps the hardest punch delivered so far in the night. Julio Guerrera stumbled backwards, holding his jaw in pain. Black Dragon sensed the opportunity to regain the momentum. Reaching out, he grabbed Julio by the shoulders and redirected his free floating body towards the turnbuckle and pushed him against it. Taking his clenched up arm, Black Dragon whacked Julio across the head, hoping to give the talented veteran the same feeling he had. Julio was then suddenly forced forward from an attempted Irish Whip, however Julio quickly countered the weak attempt and reversed it, sending Black Dragon backwards into the opposite turnbuckle instead. He quickly ran forward and jumped into the air, delivering a perfectly executed Leaping Roundhouse against the neck of his taller opponent. The sudden impact was too much for Black Dragon to handle. The pain forced him to slump down in the same spot, which allowed Julio to once again take off in the air, delivering another Dropkick. Seemingly, the Mexican veteran was “schooling” the lesser veteran. The hotheaded wrestler started to taunt the crowd, which was becoming increasingly pro-Black Dragon. The sounds of cohesive foot stomping and “Let’s go Dragon!” started to fill the arena. Julio smirked and looked at his severely weakened opponent. Having enough time to catch his breath, Guerrera walked over and firmly placed his hands around the loose part of Black Dragon’s mask and dragged him upward. Keeping him pinned against the turnbuckle, the leader of War and Revolution delivered one slap after another. Julio’s smirk grew as he was seemingly mocking his opponent. The crowd responded harshly, but Julio was too experienced to be affected by public opinion. The referee finally had enough after the count became 10 and quickly forced Julio away. Guerrara quickly took a few imitating steps, causing the referee to back off. Black Dragon slowly started to recover and was able to break away from the confines of the turnbuckle. Holding his head, Black Dragon stepped forward but was immediately grabbed by Julio and unleashed another surprise by kicking Black Dragon behind the left knee, forcing him to kneel down. Julio backed off and slowly prepared himself against the ropes. It seemed that Julio was going for the early victory with the Shining Wizard but as he went forward, he unexpectedly saw Black Dragon rise, and found the same silhouette ramming into his torso. Black Dragon’s Spear turned the momentum of the match once again. The crowd roared in approval. Black Dragon stood tall firmly once again. Julio found himself against the canvas, trying to catch his breath. Donny: Julio Guerrera is putting on a school for Black Dragon so far, no chance at all. Johnny: Well, he is on the canvas, catching breath. Donny: Is the word “Fluke” in your vocabulary? Black Dragon bent over and forcefully dragged the faction leader up to his feet by the neck. However the Hispanic wrestler was able to somehow show his stoic attitude against the pain. Before Julio could react though, Black Dragon wrapped his arm around the neck of his opponent and forced him to bend backwards. The Dragon Sleeper was applied and the first crucial moment of the match came. |

The situation had become a critical moment for the “Messiah.” Firmly in the lock of Black Dragon, Julio felt weakness begin to prowl over his body. The force that Black Dragon was using to bend and choke him mercifully was on the verge of becoming too much for him. The scarred veteran was not going to give up now however. Barely able to make out the crowd that wad clearly against him, Julio was able to suddenly get an elbow against the stomach of his opponent right before he was ready to collapse under his own weight. Black Dragon’s grip weakened and the faction leader got another elbow in, this time the grip was released and Guerrera fell to the canvas in relief although his back was burning in pain. Black Dragon rolled over to the face the opposite side and held on to his stomach which was also clearly in pain. Black Dragon quickly pulled his way upwards using leverage from the ropes and drawing energy from the crowd. Guerrera was nearly standing up once Black Dragon turned around and was able to find his footing before his opponent got to him. But before he was able to turn around, Black Dragon clasped his hands onto his head and drove him forward towards the turnbuckle. The crowd cheered as Julio Guerrera’s head collided into the turnbuckle several times by the hands of his opponent. Julio’s head felt the force of the turnbuckle seven times before being released and stumbling to the canvas again in further pain. It was becoming clear to most now that the favorite to win the match was quickly losing the possibility of winning. Black Dragon’s wide smile was well hidden under his mask as he went back to work. Julio knew that his opponent was standing right behind him but the pain throughout his body prevented him from moving any further. Thus Black Dragon took the opportunity and grabbed the left ankle of his opponent, lifting it up and locking his arms around it. Julio restrained his expression of pain and his disbelief that he was not dominating Black Dragon. The twisting Ankle Lock was applied in the perfect situation, Julio Guerrera was on the other side of the arena and his back was turned to the nearest series of ropes. Julio’s hand suddenly lifted and the stoic attitude suddenly turned into one that was about to waive the white flag. The crowd suddenly roared, fueled by the potential upset and the obvious face in Black Dragon. Julio’s hand was seemingly about to slap the floor but he suddenly withdrew it, drawing a chorus of jeers from the fans. Sensing that the faction leader wouldn’t give up through submission, Black Dragon released his hold and perhaps giving into Julio’s superb ring psychology. While Julio was recovering from the moment, Black Dragon took the opportunity to climb the turnbuckle behind him. With each step he took, the crowd grew louder. He quickly made his way to the top rope and turned around, lifting off immediately, plowing a Flying Wristdrop on the head of Guerra, who just turned around. The surprise dominance from Black Dragon continued and the crowd clearly voiced their sense that an upset was near. With his opponent lying flat on the Canvas for the moment, Black Dragon quickly bounced off the nearest ropes and went for the classical match ending Leg Drop. The crowd roared once again as the move connected and Black Dragon immediately went for the pin. The referee, the final piece in the puzzle, slid down to begin the count. The fans chanted as loud as they could with the count. One, Two, but alas, Julio found some type of energy within the pain and kicked out. The arena suddenly went silent again. Black Dragon quickly got back on his feet and prepared for Julio to make his movie. In which he did, as soon as the Hispanic heel got back up onto his feet a series of punches flew from his arms, connecting with the face of his opponent. Black Dragon found himself cornered in the turnbuckle now but the crowd continued to cheer him one. Julio Guerrera climbed the turnbuckles and ascended above his ambitious foe. Smirking for the first time in the match, the “Messiah” sent a storm of punches again on the skull of Black Dragon. Ignoring the referee for a brief moment, he landed ten hard punches before jumping off. Black Dragon stumbled forward and landed into the trap that Julio had set up with his arms, the Mexican quickly sent Black Dragon across the arena into the opposite ropes for a Irish Whip. Black Dragon came running back, and to the disliking of the crowd, Julio landed a hard, match changing Superkick straight into his opponent’s jaw. David, for now, collapsed straight to the canvas. Allowing Julio to sieze the moment and pin his opponent, for his own chance at victory. |

The irony of the situation isn't lost; the Cleveland natives are quick to boo the fact that Julio Guerrera just turned the momentum of this match around with the use of the superkick, one of Vegeta's most well known moves. The Messiah slumps his body atop of his opponent's, his right arm instinctively wrapping itself around Dragon's left leg and hooking it for the pin fall. 1.. 2.. Kick out! It seems Guerrera lacks the added flare that usually support and assists Vegeta's kick, Black Dragon managing to habitually kick out of what could have resulted in the end of his Three Hours of Power run. The revolutionary commences his ascent back to his feet, disappointed with the manner in which his surprise comeback was shut out. He mouths the word ”bullshit” to the referee, who remains to the side of the two men, maintaining his supervisory eagle's view and out of the action. A straight right pounds the Dragon's skull into the canvas, a burst of saliva erupting from his parted lips as a result of the swift maneuver. Julio's left hand grabs a hold of the top rope which hangs by his side, the stern nylon helping to preserve the equilibrium of the Messiah's anatomy as his right arm is raised into the air. His knee forms a near perfect ninety degree angle before the sole of the WAR commander's black boot is forced into the gut of his counterpart, resulting in more spit making it's way out of the Dragon's turned head. A second stomp doesn't seem to be quite as effective as the first, this one producing less saliva to coat the area of the ring located next to the man's head. The warrior's third stomp proves to be the last of this particular series as the official notices the peculiar situation Black Dragon currently finds himself in. The senior referee hastily wraps his arm around Julio's shoulder and pulls the Mexican off of his opponent before the apparently illegal strikes end up injuring the man. Of course, Guerrera doesn't take kindly to this. Although it takes him a second to realize what is happening and why his foot suddenly isn't floating above it's target, once he does he is quick to push the official off of himself. The shove, thankfully, isn't too potent. The referee simply loses his grip on Julio's body; he doesn't topple onto the mat himself. Regardless, the referee heeds the warning of the Mexican and accedes to his request of allowing him to assault his opponent as he pleases. Of course, by the time the Messiah manages to reach Black Dragon's position, the arm of the man is draped over the bottom rope. This forces the referee into action, despite the fact that acting may place an unwanted bull's eye on his own head. He dashes past the two hundred and forty pound attacker and places his body atop of the Dragon. Although he does ask the man if he wishes to continue the match, the referee's current position in the ring didn't come as a result of an unendurable need for the black and white striped man to ask Black Dragon a question; it came from an intolerable need for the man to protect Black Dragon from what would be an illegal assault. The upper body of the referee pivots itself to meet the on-coming Julio, the referee managing to pronounce only the word ”no!” before Guerrera stands on top of the two figures. If this were any other situation, it is very likely that Julio would have simply showed his more callous nature and laid waste to the referee AND his opponent. However, this is a Three Hours of Power second round match – Julio needs this win if he's hoping to reach PWA World Title contention status, especially after the disappointing loss last week and at the Pay Per View. The warrior definitely does not want or need a disqualification, and he realizes that he has already pushed the referee's buttons too much in this particular contest and, so, he simply backs off. It's a retreat, really. His feet take him closer and closer to the turnbuckle of the opposite side of the ring and, obviously, farther and farther from what he can turn into a possible disqualification-worthy event. The Dragon crawls to his feet, using the ropes as leverage while Julio twists his head to the fans and contorts his visage into what you'd usually expect to see on a crying baby's face – his lips out together and his brows mush together while his thumb is placed just outside his oral orifice. It's good to see the man's indomitable sharp wit has not been lost. A stinging laugh acts as the end point for Guerrera's mockery of his opponent, the man obviously amused by his own childish actions. Finally, Black Dragon accomplishes his ascend. He now stands tall over the still crouched down referee, his eyes locked firmly on Julio's. A simple ”bring it” gesture on the part of the warrior is all it takes for Dragon to do just that. He explodes out of the zone in the ring which once occupied him and charges head on towards his opponent. Julio's used to pissing people off and having to face the consequences but despite that, he is still surprised at the ferocity shown by his opponent. His first instinct is to leap onto the turnbuckle located behind him and hope he is able to evade the charging beast, but he is too shell shocked to actually act on those gut instincts. And so, Julio has no choice but to act as a tackling dummy for Black Dragon, the man's charge coming to a pleasant finish with a spear. Guerrera is driven into the canvas as a result of the Dragon's NFL-worthy maneuver, and the wind is shoved out of his lungs. His gasps for air but, ultimately, it is of no use. Black Dragon, who still resides on top of his prey's body, drives his forearm into Julio's face. The forearm strike is followed by another before the Dragon leaps off of his prey, the recently returned man letting out shouts of joy and pride, all while raising his arms in the air. Despite the fact that he had already been in control for a good portion of the match, managing to regain that control feels just a bit more rewarding after having temporarily lost it to the infamously devious WAR leader. The Best From the West is certainly not living up to his namesake as he lays convulsing on the mat, his arm wrapped around his chest and gut in some sort of attempt to sooth the searing pain long enough for him to regain his energy. A series of whooping coughs attempt to inject more oxygen into his system but, ultimately, they're just not quick enough. Black Dragon lifts his opponent back up to his feet by the man's shaved head. Johnny - “I have to admit, that was not looking good for Black Dragon.” Donny - “A World Title shot is on the line, Johnny! You don't think Julio's going to just give up like that, do you?!” There is a pinch of desperation in the mischievous Thunder's voice. It is obvious that he is generally concerned about Julio's chances of winning following such a surprisingly devastating spear. Black Dragon wraps his right arm around the Messiah's head while the fingers of his left arm slip into the man's waistband. They quickly clamp down on the man's shorts and, with a brusque push, lift the body of the still hurting WAR leader into the air. Although it is very conceivable that the Dragon would be able to hold the man in his current position for quite some time before dropping him, escape comes quickly for the Mexican. Of course, it's not in the way he would have hoped but, then again, it very rarely is. Black Dragon allows his body (and Julio's) to fall backwards, the nape of both men's neck crashing into the ring mat first, followed by the backs of both figures. As both men wriggle on the canvas, it seems that the Vertical Brainbuster has just managed to hurt not only the captured Messiah, but also Black Dragon, the apparent fan favorite of this match having just sacrificed his momentum in order to ensure Julio would stay down this time. With what final ounce of energy is left within the Dragon's body, he spins to his front and drapes his left arm across Julio's sweat-covered chest. The referee slides onto his black khaki-covered knees while his left arm erupts into the air before furiously smacking the canvas located right next to the two beings. ”One!” Donny - “NO! This isn't it, is it, Johnny?!” The referee's hand raises into the air and drops onto the canvas once again. ”Two!” Donny - “NO!” ”KICKOUT!” Donny - “YES!” *OOC* You've got about 400 words on me, but whatever. Sorry about getting this up so late. |

Black Dragon's eyes go wide as he stares at the crowd, total disbeleif coming over him as he realizes he hasn't put Julio away yet. He slowly pushes himself up to his feet, grabbing the Mexican star from canvas as he slowly pushes him towards the ring ropes. He shoves him against the ropes next, before whipping him across the ring. The Dragon than swings his arm wildly, aiming to decapitate his foe, but the crafty veteran ducks before leaping towards the ring ropes. The Dragon stumbles slightly, almost falling over before he begins to turn towards his opponent. Julio meanwhile springboards himself, twisting in the air as he perfectly times his move. Black Dragon has no chance to defend himself, having Julio's knee slam into his face, knocking the big man down as Guerrera acrobatically adjust himself in the air so as to land on top of the falling Dragon and into a pinning predicament after that Black Magic! One!!! Two!!! Three!!! The fans boo as Julio gasps slightly, clearly in some pain after his close encounter with the young upstart. The official goes to raise his hand, but the egotistical Guerrera pulls it away, raising it himself to more booing from the crowd. Ring Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the Winner of this Match as a result of Pinfall, and moving onto the Third Round of the Three Hours of Power Tournament, JULIO.... GUERRERA! The fans boo once more as Julio moves towards the ropes, dropping to the canvas and rolling underneath as we see a shot of Black Dragon on the canvas before a commercial break. |
