The sold out crowd here in the lovely city of Manhattan… Kansas, is electric as it is now time for Serial’s first title defense, just one night after one of the biggest wins of his career. It does not get any easier for the King of the Crosshairs as he must defend his precious championship against the man who handed him his first loss here in the PWA, the former TKW Superweight Champion… Streetz. The Jersey City Brawler gained this opportunity last night by defeating the IC Champion’s PWA Cup partner, Alex Giltinane. The two competitors circle the ring as the ref signals for the bell. DING DING DING! The sounds of the bell chime through the ears of the Arena, but are simply ignored as the match has now begun. It is Serial’s very first title defense, and he is looking to leave on a good note, but the man in front of him knows what it takes to beat him. Serial has been on fire as of late, and the last time these two men were in the same ring, The Killa’ was able to pull away with a victory. It will more than likely take more than a surprise roll up to put away the six foot, three inch athlete. The two gladiators meet in the middle of the squared circle and initiate a grapple with a clean collar and elbow tie up. The size and strength difference is shown immediately as the much larger Streetz is easily able to throw down his masked opponent. Serial is sent crashing to the mat, and a surprised look is seen through the Champion’s mask. It is certain that the Zodiac’s Apotheosis did not expect to be overwhelmed so easily by the challenger. The Protested Hero quickly gets to his feet and shakes off the cobwebs as they say. The Inexplicable Incognito jocks for position once again, trying to get a feel for his opponent, but the aggressive foe will not back away and goes straight towards the Masked Marvel as he throws lightning fast jabs. Serial looks to want another tie up, confusing the arena because the last time he went for a tie up, he was kissing the canvas. A moment before the warriors lock up, the Protested Hero transitions into a midsection kick causing his enemy to bend forward like a straw, with Serial following up with a club the TKW warrior's back, sending him to the mat. Serial continues his mean streak as he drops his knees onto the back of the former Superweight Champion’s head, causing much pain to the unsuspecting Streetz. The current Champion quickly grabs hold of Streetz and begins to hit the cranium of the warrior from Jersey with knee after knee, trying with every bit of energy to knockout or concuss the man trying to take his belt from him. Last night the Hardcore Champion tried to take something from Serial, and now he will end up bald. Will the heavyweight suffer a devastating fate as his former TKW co worker? The situation is looking grim as Serial continuously hits knee after knee, with each containing more force than the last. If the challenger does not get out of this predicament soon, then he may in fact suffer a concussion, which could affect him the rest of his young career. The merciless champion lifts his leg, looking to deal the final blow and drops the knee… BUT IT IS BLOCKED! The co creator of the Hood Section is able to block the knee with his forearm, albeit a bit painful. The Masked Marvel backs up a bit as he clinches onto his knee obviously in pain, the collision may have done some serious damage to the right knee of the cruiserweight. The masked man shrieks in pain as he rolls to the corner, still grabbing the knee that was crushing in the skull of his enemy just moments ago. Johnny: It looks like Serial might be injured? How will this affect him? Will he be able to continue? Donny: I don’t know Johnny, I’m guessing this will not help his chances. He’s already the underdog. Even as a champion, the odds have always seemed to go against the Masked Marvel, it is no wonder why the man has been nicknamed the “Upset Special.” No matter the situation, it seems like Serial always finds a way to come out with a win. A victory for the King of the Crosshairs is crucial this evening to prove to the world that he is not a fluke, like many have said, to prove that he is deserving of the gold he carries. But at the moment, things are not looking good as his knee may be torn apart, the Serial fans have to be wondering how their hero will be able to get out of this predicament. Streetz slowly gets to his feet as he recovers from the damage that was dealt to him, and is pleasantly surprised when he fully gets to his feet as he sees his masked opponent being checked on by the official, grabbing tightly to his right knee, as he leans against the bottom turnbuckle. Revenge is sweet, and now the remorselessness of the champion may comeback to haunt him, by the man who gave him his first loss many Mondays ago. Streetz pops his fingers as he walks towards Serial, not able to wipe away a smirk as he gets closer to his fallen opponent. The muscular brawler leans forward and grabs the Protested Hero by his head and easily lifts him to his feet, but the Killa’ can not stand on his two feet and immediately falls back down to the canvas, favoring his right knee once again. Streetz immediately sets his target on the possibly injured knee of Serial, as he grabs hold of the right leg, and attempts a… Figure Four Leglock! Seconds later, Serial is screaming in pain as he searches for a nearby rope, but one is not close enough. He can not take the pain for much longer. Maybe he might have to submit, he will have other opportunities at the title… oh wait, maybe not. The Zodiac’s Apotheosis focuses on the nearest rope and tries to crawl towards it, but it is seemingly miles away. Will the Champion be able to break free of his opponent’s grasp? Or will a NEW CHAMPION be crowned this evening? OOC: BOLD! |

Streetz contorts Serial's skinny leg like it's a piece of pipe cleaner, trying to inject as much pain as possible into the Champ's nerve endings. But there's a reason why Serial is the one with the gold hanging around his waist: his will and determination. The hurt knee ails Serial not as he is able to crawl to the ropes and wrap his hand around his salvation. The ref barks at Streetz to untangle the hold, but Streetz continues the pressure, forcing the referee to make his count to five. Just before the moment of Streetz's disqualification, the enraged brute lets his opponent's limbs befall him. The ref acts as a barrier between Streetz and his victim, keeping the wall of ebony flesh a ring away from his downed combatant. The masked warrior hangs on the bottom rope, his arms dangling like a child's legs over a bridge. His lungs and diaphragm pump ferociously, trying to muster up enough strength to continue the bout. But every ounce of energy gained seems to be drained by the pain in his knee. It's a sharp throb almost begging to be surgically operated upon. Will Serial give up this early in the game? His rise to his feet relay his answer: he'll die before he admits defeat. Of course, wrestlers are incredibly myopic, caring only about the gold and not the longevity of their careers, but that's not important at this moment. The Jersey Brawler stands in fighting stance, awaiting the Protested Hero's return to the contest. Serial stands back an watches his foe as they circle each other, much like two MMA fighters at the beginning of a new round. Zodiac's Apotheosis stumbles with every other step as his knee cannot maintain the pressure under his body weight. Taking his advantage, the Hardcore Superstar spins around and sends a powerful heel kick to the ribs of The Killa. The Masked Marvel's balance shifts to his unfavorable side, forcing his knee to buckle under his body weight. As a result, Serial stumbles nastily to the canvas, landing on the side of his face. Streetz's eyes glaze over in glee, seeing the perfect opportunity to manipulate the match heavily in his favor. DONNY: I don't like that look. It shrieks of malicious intent. JOHNNY: I think you're right, Don. Nothing good can come of this position. The Jersey Brawler digs his heel into the crevice behind Serial's knee. The Killa runs his hands across his face in an effort to divert the pain away from his tender knee. The effort fails, but that doesn't stop him from trying. Streetz constricts Serial's heel, raising his knee and forcefully stomping it into the canvas. The screams from the Masked Marvel's mouth are opaque: the man is hurt. Streetz snubs his opponent's pleas, instead keeping his mind's focus on brutalizing the 225 lb superstar by doing the maneuver all over again. The thud echoes throughout the crowd and is now sicker than the one that came before it. The Jersey Brute raises Serial's new once again, about to complete the triumvirate of agony when The Protested Hero is able to grab a hold of the bottom rope! Streetz seems to be unaware of the present circumstances and ready to connect to move anyway. The referee decides to take executive power and push the mutilating Streetz off of his vulnerable opponent. DONNY: That ref has some balls. JOHNNY: Oh no, I'd hate to be in his position now. Streetz looks over his shoulder in shock and confusion. He steps over to the referee with a chip on his shoulder, screaming expletives. Spit flies out the referee's zebra striped shirt with every aggressive flick of Streetz's tongue. The referee stands his ground and continues to argue back, knowing full well that the action he took was the correct one to take. But Streetz remains stubborn, unable to imagine the extenuating circumstances that would allow a referee to place his hands on a wrestler. Elsewhere, Serial takes full advantage of the time being given to him, stretching the hurt knee, tapping into extra energy reserves, and mounting a plan of attack. The Hardcore Superstar gives up his argument against the referee and turns his attention back to that of the match. Unfortunately, a masked cruiser weight is waiting to dish him a whole plateful of vengeance. Leaping from the top rope, Zodiac's Apotheosis hits a stunning corkscrew! The crowd leaps to their feet and begin chanting in excitement, "This is awesome!" But the move also took its toll on Serial, mostly in regards to his knee. Even with that, the Masked Superstar crawls over to Streetz to elicit a pinfall. Can Serial retain the title with just the sheer impact of one breathtaking move? |

Like clockwork, the ref slams his hand on the canvas, the sound reverberating throughout the packed arena. Serial fans hold out hope that he can make the victory at this moment, before anymore damage can be done to their champion. After the two count, Serial fans rejoice as they feel a win right on their fingertips. The moment Streetz kicks out feels like a punch to the stomach for each of them. Many fans curse toward the ring, other let out sighs of disappointment. The thousands of patrons standing on their feet retake their seats, withdrawing from the adrenaline rush. Serial rolls off the Hardcore Superstar, the pain resurfacing into his knee. Bracing him damaged joint, the Masked Marvel finds a way to return to a vertical base, looking down at Streetz as he struggles to catch his breath. Serial takes off for the ropes, jumping on the middle one and flipping to connect a lionsault. The Killa is in perfect position to make a pinfall and does, but lo and behold, Streetz makes a clean kick out before the count of three. The audience boos again, but this time are not as disappointed due to being desensitized. Though the audience's disappointment is subdued, Serial's is opaque even through his mask. His eyes say, "How much more do I have to endure for a victory?" Zodiac's Apotheosis gets the New Jersey Brawler back to his feet while his mind plots an offensive strategy. Serial decides to whip Streetz into the ropes and go from there. Once Streetz hits the ropes, he wraps both of his arms around the top rope, stopping his momentum from taking him back to his opposition. Serial runs at Streetz, sticking his leg in front of him to try and crash it into Streetz's abdomen. The risk proves futile as Streetz is able to flip over the ropes onto the outside of the ring. Serial, being unable to put on the breaks, traps his leg over the middle rope. Streetz takes this opportunity for all that it is worth. He pulls down on Serial's leg, strangling the hurt knee, making the rope hurt like it' razor wire. With evil intentions, Streetz climbs onto the apron. He maneuvers himself onto the center rope, jumps off while pivoting, cutting a leg drop onto Serial's targeted knee. Serial's leg bounces off of the rope after the impact. The Masked Marvel lays in the ring, chest pumping, gripping his leg like his child, trying to nurture it back to health. On the outside of the squared circle, the Jersey City Brawler emerges onto his feet, his face contorted into a devil's smirk. Streetz slides back into the ring, his movements slow and sadistic. He stalks the downed Luchador, thinking of nothing except the million different ways he can inflict agony. The Hardcore Superstar lifts the Killa' up to a vertical base, tossing him into the corner. Serial has no recollection of the jolt felt within his spine due to his knee taking up most of his mental capacity. Streetz backs up and runs at full speed ahead, leaving his feet to explode a missile drop kick into his favorite body part. Serial falls onto his good knee, unable to hold himself up right. His head faces the canvas, right in front of Streetz. "This is it." Streetz declares in his mind. His opportunity to make the move, get the pinfall, and win himself some gold. Streetz enables a vice grip around Serial's head, guiding it to fit right in between his legs. The audience knows what is about to occur due to Streetz's taunt, pumping his mighty fist into the air. The Hardcore Superstar lifts Serial into the air, ready to finish the match. |

A confident Streetz lifts his much lighter counterpart high into the air but only momentarily as he puts an end to the misery that is Serial and drops him head first to the mat, knocking him cold as crumbles to the mat motionless. The sold out crowd can only watch in awe as the luchador’s Championship reign comes to a conclusion in just a matter of moments. The Roadkill has connected and has left the carcass of the two hundred and twenty five pounder looking like… well, ROADKILL. The prevalent Jersey Native makes a very cocky pin, posing over his fallen opponent as he places his weight over his foe's body. The sounds of booing and jeers fill the building as those who find it disrespectful make their presence known. The conceded attempt is showing the six foot three inch athlete’s true color… yellow. It does not matter though as that yellow may turn into gold after the official’s three count, which has just initiated. ONNNEEEE!!!! TWWWOOOO!!! THE COUNT IS BROKEN!!!! Johnny: Serial got his foot on the rope! No winner just yet!!! I can’t believe Serial is still in the match! The Roadkill has ended countless amounts of matches and garnered a number of wins for Streetz. He must be shocked! Donny: I’m not worried at all Johnny! Streetz is just warming up, he’s going to leave this cruddy state with his first PWA Championship. He has to win, because I bet good money on him!!! He’s bigger and blacker… there is no way he can lose. The Champion’s title reign is not finished just yet due to Serial intelligently placing his left foot on the rope, causing a rope break and a disruption of the count. The man just above him, Streetz is now sporting a look of disdain as he was just outwitted by the Killa’. That may have been his best opportunity to win, and now he is forced to go back to dismantling the body of the title holding Incognito. The aggressive athlete grabs the champ by his hood and lifts him to his feet, and proceeds to throw him to turnbuckle corner, causing Serial's anatomy to smash into the padded steel. The challenger gets a running start before diving for a splash that would squash the IC Champ, but in the nick of time the Protested Hero lifts his left foot into the air, causing his boot to collide with the face of the Hardcore Superstar, sending the competitor to the canvas with an impact. Serial quickly takes advantage of the situation and jumps to the top turnbuckle, albeit a bit slower due to the ruptured knee. The injury does not stop the tenacious champion as he dives into the air and hits the head of the contender with both of his feet, thus connecting with a devastating Diving Double Foot Stomp. Serial’s dismantled knee forces him to collapse to the mat in pain but the Protested Hero still has enough will to make the pin attempt and go for the win. The crowd can not help but roar in excitement as the referee glides down to the mat in order to make the count… ONNEEE!!! TWWOOO!!! KICKOUT! The tenacity of the Ebonic Warrior would not allow him to keep his shoulders pinned to the mat for the three count, even after the aerial assault he was just victim to. The odds of Serial leaving Bramlage Coliseum with the title are decreasing at the passing of each moment. To the Killa’, time is passing faster than a tick in a New York minute as the pain in his knee will not reside. Ligaments which hold the King of the Crosshairs’ knee in place could in fact be ruptured or torn. The Methodical Incognito crawls towards the ropes nearest him, and grasps onto the middle rope, clinching tightly with both hands. The cruiserweight uses the ropes as leverage to assist him to a standing position. The Intercontinental Champion would not stay standing for long as his opponent, as the enraged Streetz, with all his might clotheslines his masked antagonist, sending him over the ropes and to the outside. The Champion’s anatomy crashes onto the mats on the outside, with his injured knee landing awkwardly, and causing the perseverant warrior to clinch onto his knee once again as he aches in pain. The fuming black man quickly exits the ring not wanting to wait for his opponent to slowly enter the ring and buy himself time to recover. Once outside the devious African American grabs hold of the aching lightweight and lifts him by his mask, and continues to elevate him, easily boosting him above his head. The Masked Marvel tries to break the grasp of his opponent as he is high in the air, almost near the stage lights, but the Masked Marvel can not afford to take much more damage with severely risking his title reign. The Zodiac’s Apotheosis in a sign of desperation, turns to his rudo techniques and gives the TKW Superstar a thumb to the eye, causing him to release the man he is holding above his head. Serial incredible balance allows him to land on his left foot and maintain his stance, as he hops away not wanting to put any weight on his right leg. The luchador jumps onto the apron and rolls beneath the bottom rope to safety. After nurturing his eye, the Urban Mauler searches for his smaller adversary and glimpses him lying on the canvas, still favoring his injury. Chocolate Face enters the ring quickly, with malicious intents on his mind. Slowly the man walks towards his wounded opposition and looks to further the damage, but does so cautiously as he does not want to make an error. Serial is no dummy and has outsmarted him in the past and will not forego another opening to do outwit him once again. Thoughts of Meltdown enter the conundrum that is the brain of Streetz; this is the climax of the match to him. There is nowhere for the masked man to run, and he is just lying there, waiting for someone to take his title. The uncaring former Superweight Champion proceeds to stomp on the bursted knee of Serial, who is trying to block the vicious feet from striking him but can not as the pain is to a greater extent. The cries of pain only seem to motivate the challenger into causing more remorseless pain as he continues to trample the damaged knee of the Champion. Johnny: Now this is just wrong! The referee needs to seriously consider stopping this match, Serial is hurt, and he can not continue the contest in the form he is at right now! It’s OK SERIAL, YOU GAVE A VALIANT EFFORT! Donny: Streetz is going to end his career! The ref better stop the fight! RING THE BELL! NEW CHAMPION REF!!! JUST RING THE BELL!!! The sadistic Streetz stands over the face-down Serial who is lying on the canvas lifeless and proceeds to lift the right leg of the luchador and drape it over his neck. The Jersey City Madman then uses his arms to force the shin and thigh of the King of the Crosshairs down, thereby placing pressure on the injured knee. With the Stretch Muffler locked in tightly, the champion roars in pain as he immediately looks for the nearest ropes to which there are none close in range. With every bit of energy left in the tank, the Zodiac’s Apotheosis tries crawling towards the bottom rope, which is mocking him from it's extended distance. It is as if the Champion is crawling through a desert, which is seemingly endless, but little by little, inch by inch, the masked warrior crawls. The audience appaulds his effort because they know he does not want to leave with his championship. The Protested Hero hearing the cheers of the crowd in unison reminds him that he can not let his fans down, because without them there would not be a Serial. The Killa’ is now crawling at a faster rate as the pain has increased, thoughts of surrendering begin to exit the head of the Killer as he gets closer, but the agonizing pain... how much more pain can one man take? The knee is throbbing at a high rate, but he can not let that stop him. The Cruiserweight reaches for the ropes, but feels nothing but air, and now the pain is starting to sink in deeply, things are now beginning to fade to black for the IC Champion. In a final attempt, the man behind the mask reaches as far as his arm can allow him to, and the tips of his fingers glide onto the electric taped rope followed by the eruption of the entire arena. The official notifies Streetz to break the lock and attempts to fracture them apart, but the Challenger will not break the move! Whether it is an attempt to seriously injure his antagonist or if it is out of frustration. The fact that Serial will not stay down or give up, has to be creating doubt within Streetz, whether he can even defeat the Champion once again. He has placed Serial in multiple submissions and even the vicious screwdriver, but for some reason, the Protested Hero will not just lie down and die, figuratively speaking of course. Streetz knows that he deserves to be Champion; he has been in this federation for almost as long as the man in front of him, but thus far he has yet to win gold here in the Pojo Wrestling Alliance. Tonight is his night thought, one three count or a few taps of Serial's hand and tonight all of that can change. Tonight is the night Streetz makes a name for himself, like he did in his debut match or the intense tag match at Meltdown. His opponent this evening, Serial, is synonymous with making him a better wrestler and higher within the rankings of the Pojo Wrestling Alliance. Before the five count, Streetz relinquishes the maneuver and lifts himself off of the remains of his enemy. The Protested Hero is still grasping onto the ropes not realizing that the dreadful move has been broken. The Hardcore Superstar taunts the audience, signaling his finisher once again. Boos fill the Bramlage Coliseum as the former Superweight Champion lifts the Masked Marvel up once again this time in a doubled over position as sets him up for a vertical suplex. A few moments later, the cruiserweight is high in the air yet again as Streetz is letting him hang like a shirt out to dry, even going as far as to wave a free arm out, showing the crowd his juggernaut like strength, and how easily it is for him to control the body of the Champion. The crowd looks in awe as they once again see Serial in a hopeless position once again, but it is no wonder he has garnered the nickname the “Upset Special.” It is because of his abilities to turn a match around in an instant. If only Streetz knew what would occur in the next few moments, if only he could sense the future, and how things would turn for the worst. Just as Streetz isgoing to drive the head of the luchador through the canvas, the Protested Hero finds a way to slip out of the hold and land on his feet right behind him. It in a sense is almost a flashback to what had occurred in the match between Serial and Streetz’s former tag partner, Kendo. It is said that history repeats itself, and like what happened a few weeks ago, Serial quickly grabs the head of his much larger opponent and before the Streetz has a chance to respond, the Champion lifts his foe from reverse chancery and twists his body while falling back, causing the Hardcore Superstar to crash into the canvas head first, as he has just fallen victim to Serial’s finisher, THE… Johnny: PROTESTED HERO’S WELCOME!!! IT CAME FROM SEEMINGLY OUT OF NOWHERE!!! STREETZ COULD BE OUT COLD!!! Donny: What just happened, Johnny?!? Streetz was moments away from winning the championship! The luchador is still looking to be in pain as he drops an arm over his mighty foe. The crowd is slow to react as they too are stunned that the “Upset Special” may have just done it again. Just when all hope is lost, the man behind the mask finds a way to turn the match around. The audience is rejuvenated as they cheer on the cruiserweight who is now awaiting the count from the referee. The surprised official quickly gets out of his state of shock and drops to the mat as the audience is getting louder as each second passes. Serial tries to move the rest of his body onto the fallen urban warrior, who looks to be out like a light. ONNNEEE!!! TWWWOOOOO!!!! |

Out like a light he proves to be. … THREE! “Earth People” by Dr Octagon once again blares over the PA system as Serial tries to return to his feet. Being pretty much empty when it comes to possessing any strength, he can only sit up, staring into the crowd through his mask. They cheer. They cheer loudly. Another successful defence for the Protested Hero. RING ANNOUNCER: “THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH AS A RESULT OF A PIN FALL AND STILL PWA INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION – SERIAL!” The referee returns to the ring, handing the seated victor his championship belt. Although he is slow to his feet, he eventually makes it, raising the title high above his head to a huge reaction. The show, however, must continue as soon the cameras break away from ringside to continue this action packed Monday night. |
