The echo of the official bell always sent a chill down the back of Tommy Dragon, this one of the few times in which the technician was actually nervous about his performance. Piccie Smalls had declared the next challenger for the World Championship would be from the very stable the Patron Saint had been drafted to nearly three months earlier. With many of his cohorts occupied, a win over his former PWA Cup partner could solidify the former Intercontinental Champion’s place in that match - a match that has evaded him since 2004. On the other side of this spectrum was "Dean" Michael White III, an obnoxious Briton who not only turned on his partner last week but still seeks revenge from the loss in the PWA Cup finals. In the mind of the Iron Duke, and anyone watching the live broadcast of Pandemonium, Tommy allowed the opposing team to win for the benefit of Revolution Inc. and at the cost of Dean’s own glory. This is worthless paragraph to fill up space since someone gets hounded in staff about posting longer exchanges, hopefully this will work. As the audience focuses in on the squared circle, both men approach each other to get this contest underway. Johnny: Here we go, Dean versus Tommy. These two have had issues for the last month or so. Donny: If I were Tommy, I'd be afraid right now. Dean's wanted to get his hands on him since Pandemonium. The former Hotshot becomes the assertive competitor, suggesting a classic start for this contest by motioning for the ever-so popular Roman-Greco knucklelock. With his hand held high - fingers spread and wriggling - it’s obvious to any novice which technique the superstar had planned, “Dean” catching on instantly as he cautiously returns the hold. They struggle for power, with the bulkier Briton able to take advantage of the confrontation early due to his strength advantage - something I implied no less than three times in the previous sentence. When the New Yorker begins to make a comeback, he is met by a sudden fist to the jaw. The victim stumbles backwards after the blow, upset with the betrayal of his adversary although not completely surprised by it. The foreign-bred competitor attempts to keep himself on the offensive, stepping towards the opponent while clutching both fists as if ready to batter the submissions extraordinaire. Tommy Dragon delivers a swift boot to the femur of “Dean“ Michael White - causing him to back away - as Casey shouts supportive chants towards her partner - several coming out as utter nonsense considering the drugged-up haze that constantly clouds her mind. Johnny: Tommy's taken Dean off-guard, aiming for those legs to take the bigger man down. Donny: Dean's not going to be taken down that easily, he wants revenge. With his prey off-guard, the self-proclaimed Personal Jesus of PWA is able to curve two kicks so that they connect with the side of the warrior’s left knee. Seeing his foe’s strategy, the True Brit drives his leg off the canvas in hopes of connecting his boot with the skull of our favorite New Yorker. Unfortunately, his limb is caught beneath the underarm of the technician, who drops himself to the mat so he can twist his cohort’s knee in a perfectly-executed dragon screw. Dean rolls over to the corner, pulling himself up with the tops near the turnbuckle post. Not one to lose his advantage, Tommy comes over in the hopes of catching his foe off-guard, but is himself caught by a stiff elbow to the maw. As the former True Brit watches his prey stagger about, Dean prepared to deliver his finishing maneuver. Charging forward, he extends an arm in hopes of hitting the White Lightning, but his partner has become accustomed to seeing the move. He ducks the attack, hitting a sharp kick to his attacker’s passing calf muscle. As the Iron Duke’s back hits the springed surface, his knee contorts inside the grasp of the self-proclaimed Patron Saint. Rolling onto his feet grants Tommy leverage for his next maneuver, requiring the Briton to spin around in order to lock in a single-leg crab. Although his captive holds back from screaming in pain, the torture brings Dean White closer and closer to slapping the canvas - ending the match if it would end his agony. |

With the devastating single leg lock taking its toll rapidly on his vulnerable left leg, Dean Michael White is cracking under pressure to move a few mere inches to clasp onto the ring ropes as it looks like the “iron duke’s” chances of getting out of the clutches of his sworn adversary the “patron saint” Tommy Dragon. Dean lifts his arms above his head to resist the easy option of tapping out and severing all chances of being the last man standing in this conclusive part of this saga between both of these warriors. Tommy Dragon begins to get fed up of White not giving up so he lifts up the knee of his opponent and delves it deeper in the ring canvas in a desperate bid to put the final nail in the determined Brits coffin per say. Dean against all odds begins to slowly move a few inches towards the ring canvas, the facial expression of Dragon speaks volumes as it truly looked like the high maintenance British athlete was down and out. Tommy Dragon still hell bent on ending his personal battle with the “iron duke” on a high still holds tightly onto the throbbing leg of Dean; White however does the unthinkable and stuns the crowd and Tommy Dragon with his tenacity as it just took one mere moment of distraction to shatter “patron saint’s” hopes of winning as White took total advantage of this therefore managing to use his fresher leg to get the right balance and eventually leading to White falling into the ring ropes and finding temporary solace. Johnny: White did the unthinkable to get out of that long and pain hold, as you can clearly see this has infuriated Tommy Dragon even more and knowing Tommy as long as I have that glint in his eye is an indication what the “patron saint” is baying for blood Donny: I will second you on that, Dean has showed us his tenacity and never say die yet again tonight. With White now out of danger of White is being tended to by the official while Tommy Dragon has his hands wrapped around his face in disbelief and angst. Tommy Dragon with a deadpan expression on his face begins to rise to his feet; suddenly the pale middle aged man wearing a rain coat from last weeks insanity emerges from the crowd tightly holding the exact same chair he used to perform the nasty attack on Dean’s now former partner Sir Edwin Blackwell last week. The mysterious gentleman comes running into the ring and just catches the eye of Tommy Dragon just before Dean’s apparent associate nails the “patron saint” with a stiff chair shot to his skull which leads to the unsuspecting veteran being tangled in the ring ropes. The mysterious man makes a swift exit to the back of the arena taking his chair with him taking all the evidence with him. Dean Michael White suddenly rises to his feet as it looks like he was playing possum all along to distract the official, the referee looks extremely bemused and suspicious when he sees Tommy in an uncompromising position in the ring ropes. Dean with an optimistic grin on his face sprints to the opposite side of the ropes and comes running towards his prey eventually untangling and makes him come crashing face down to the ring canvas with a WHITE LIGHTNING. Full of himself, Dean Michael White grabs the bruised carcass of Tommy Dragon turning him on his front and leaps onto the body of Tommy Dragon for a quick pin fall; the referee begins to count. 1… 2… …? OCC: It was all a bit last minute as I have been pushed for time today, good luck T. |

Tommy Dragon miraculously rolls his shoulder off the canvas, keeping himself in the match if only for a few moments longer. His opponent cannot believe the superstar's tenacity, pulling away as he prepares to deliver yet another dose of White Lightning. This time goes as well as the first, Tommy collapsing before he can even deliver the dreaded clothesline. Dean's chest slams into the turnbuckle post, knocking the oxygen out of his lungs as he stumbles away from the corner. A kick to his midsection forces the athlete down, Tommy pulling him into a modified dragon sleeper, creating a cut-throat with Dean's nearby arm. In a violent twist, the Patron Saint delivers the Throat Slasher, using a leg-hook for added advantage in the resulting pinfall. 1... 2... 3! Ring Announcer: Here is your winner via pinfall... Tommy Dragon! It seems an end has come in the competition between Dean White and Tommy Dragon, but it is neither the sounds of Vivaldi or Talking Heads that blast from the sound system. No, it is "East Broadway" by Unsane - the World Champion’s ballad - that fills the Breslin Center. From the deepest-darkest Hell, the black curtain is pushed aside to reveal the monstrous form of P.Y. At the beast’s side is Mr. Rexclusive himself - Rex Haraway - a man on a mission to discover who the company has decided next to put in the path of the British Behemoth. The self-proclaimed savior of PWA pulls the microphone in his hand towards his lips, speaking as calmly as possible. Rex Haraway: I said earlier tonight that we would find out just who Commissioner Smalls had appointed as number one contender for P.Y’s championship… and that’s why we’re here now. Following that last declaration, Rex Haraway begins walking down the entrance ramp with the World Champion leading the way. P.Y clears the few feet between the padded floor and apron with one step, pulling his massive frame up with one arm. Knowing when it’s best to avoid the wrath of the English Monster, Tommy rolls to the outside and into the hands of Casey while Rex marks his territory inside the squared circle. Rex Haraway: You see, Piccie promised us an opponent for Massacre. Normally this would be a bit harder to trace, but in his own words Piccie said this mystery adversary belonged to a certain “revolutionary” presence here in the PWA. The Detroit native pulls the microphone away, at first letting the audience shower him with boos before returning to his speech. Rex Haraway: Revolution Inc. Get yourselves out here this instant! The order recieves no response, Tommy Dragon and Casey standing on the outside as the only representatives of Mario Woosey and Kyle Rieger’s brainchild. Rex Haraway: Maybe I wasn’t clear enough, I said g… “Know Your Enemy” by Rage Against The Machine cuts off the Rexclusive one, this sign of disrespect resulting in an oddly-timed smirk from Haraway. Normally such action would result in the devious superstar’s retaliation, but here he is getting exactly what he wanted. As the chorus blasts, the combined forces of Hellfire, Koda and Kalevala make their way down the entrance ramp. Neither men look toward each other, a psychological link between them enough for all to understand what may need to be done here tonight. Tommy - holding the back of his skull in pain - joins the ranks before all four men enter the squared circle, reading to confront the World Champion. Rex Haraway: Since your mouthpieces are absent for the time being, I don’t expect any of you to say much. Quite frankly, I’d rather not hear any of you open those gaping holes you people call mouths. All you need to do is step up. The English Monster surveys his possible opponents, looking from one to the other as Rex continues to banter. Rex Haraway: That’s right, whoever dares step in the ring with P.Y at Massacre, step up and face us. Revolution Inc.’s solid line remains unchanged, the members even giving one another looks as if unaware who in their ranks is next of the Briton’s hit list. Rex Haraway: Don’t give me that, step forward and claim your “prize“. Nothing from the man standing opposite him, Haraway getting desperate mixes a desperate plea with a militant command. Rex Haraway: Do it! Right now! This time a man steps forward, that being the injured Kalevala. Fans begin cheering, thinking that the supposed “injury” of the former Commonwealth Champion was a ruse all along. With the damaged hand still stabilized, he takes the microphone from the hand of a satisfied Haraway. Kalevala: Rex, I am not the challenger for the World Championship, but if I was you wouldn’t be talking to me like that. P.Y steps forward, ready to engage the shelved technician if need be. Kalevala: You see Rex, we don’t know who Piccie wants you to face at Massacre. I’m still injured, so obviously it cannot be your first-ever Commonwealth Champion, your last-ever European Champion, the technical trickster, the savvy submissionist, the mystery man from the Kennin Clan… Seeing his cousin starting to get out of hand, Koda gives him a pat on the back. This snaps the warrior back into attention, Kalevala moving over towards his cohorts. Kalevala: But…we also don’t know if it’s the seven-foot monster Koda, the incarnate of the underworld Hellfire or the greatest Intercontinental Champion - living or dead - that is Tommy Dragon. So if that’s all you wanted us out here for, we’ll be taking our leave. The Kennin Warrior tosses the microphone back at Rex, catching the superstar off-guard for a moment. With those words Revolution Inc. begins their retreat, leaving the Rex Haraway and the World Champion dumbfounded. With the monstrous tandem already on the outside, Kalevala exists to the apron with the help of Tommy, who catches something out of the corner of his eye. Casey - unaware of the dangers that face her in this state - has accidentally stumbled into the English Monster. Offended by this disrespect, the behemoth latches onto the throat of his defenseless victim. This causes an uproar in the crowd, even Revolution Inc. unsure of what to do at first. Temporarily without backup, Tommy launches himself forward in hopes of saving the bewildered Casey. Unfortunately his trip is cut short by a surprise White Lightning, Dean Michael White avenging the loss he just suffered at the hands of the so-called patron saint. Donny: Dean White scores with the White Lightning! Tommy didn’t see that coming, no one did. Johnny: It’s a gang assault now, Revolution Inc. needs to get in there. The Iron Duke begins beating down the competitor, causing the rest of the technician’s cohorts to spring into action. With one man down, Dean White is able to take advantage of the entering Hellfire while his impromptu partners deal with Koda. Kalevala tries to get involved, but a sudden kick to his shoulder leaves him rather incapacitated for the remainder of this brawl. The cameras race back and forth, looking on as the smaller Briton pounds away at the Commonwealth Champion before returning to P.Y as he delivers a large boot to the chest of his giant brethren. Somehow Rex Haraway has gotten his hands on a steel chair, as we see the athlete slapping the weapon across the spine of Koda to sound of boos. Hellfire seems to be the only man capable of fighting, having just delivered a clothesline to Dean that sent the receiver tumbling to the outside in defeat. Unfortunately, he is still left with P.Y, Haraway and the chair that inevitably bends across his skull. Donny: A vicious chair shot to the head of Hellfire, they’ve taken apart the team. Johnny: They took a cheap shot and used a chair, this is ridiculous. All that leaves is the fallen Tommy Dragon, the warrior dragging himself across the canvas as Rex Haraway follows him like a cat cornering a mouse. He hoists the chair over his head, prepared to bring it down on the carcass of the patron saint. However, when Rex attempts to bring the steel down across the face of Tommy, his actions are halted by Casey. She grabs the chair, attempting to protect her supposed hero from harm. This doesn’t sit well with P.Y, who grabs the valet by her throat before hoisting her several feet in the air. To the sound of boos, Casey is brought down violently in a choke slam. As the commentators curse the actions of the English Monster, he leaves the injured around the battleground with a confident smile across his face. Once again "East Broadway" by Unsane hits, the tandem of Rex and P.Y walking up the entrance ramp, confident after their assault. Johnny: That was uncalled for, Casey was just trying to help out Tommy. Donny: I don’t know what to say, I shocked Johnny. As medical officers make their way down to attend to Casey the sounds of “Hypnotize” replace Unsane, Piccie Smalls making his way out to confront the World Champion. With a microphone in hand, the commissioner looks over at Tommy - who has rushed over to his fallen confidant before returning the gaze of the champion. Piccie Smalls: Rex, P.Y… you’ll regret that. I’ve made this decision a several days ago, but now I’m more sure than ever. For the World Championship at Massacre, it will be P.Y versus… Tommy Dragon! Those words fill whatever heart is left inside the monster, shock overtaking him. He turns to face his challenger, Tommy’s eyes burning with hatred as he stares down the World Champion. For the Patron Saint - the name of this encounter fits - it will be a massacre. |
