--- Serial --- The lights throughout the arena cut off, leaving the crowd in uncertainty. Suddenly, the familiar intro to “Earth People” begins to echo from the speakers, as the lights appear once again. As the rhymes of Dr. Octagon can be heard, Serial makes his way out from behind the curtains. Although the colors he wears vary from night to night, the Killa’ is never seen without his signature mask. The Zodiac’s Apotheosis proceeds to the ring, always focused on the task at hand, but always finds the time to slap a few of the audience member’s hands that reach out for him. The luchador jumps onto the apron and strides to the nearest turnbuckle. The King of the Crosshairs ascends to the second turnbuckle, raising his hand in the air, causing many camera lights to flash and the deafening crowd to erupt in elation. Announcer: Weighing in at approximately 102 kilograms. He stands 180 centimeters tall. He is the PROTESTED HEROOOO, SERRRIIAALLLLLL!!!!! Serial shows off his athleticism as he flips off the turnbuckle and lands on his feet, much to the enjoyment of the fans. The “Upset Special” goes to his corner as he awaits the initiation of the match. --- Sully --- I CAME I SAW I CONQUERED ALL Veni Vidi Vici by Black Lips kicks up on the arena PA. The Perfect Specimen appears atop the ramp with a smug look on his face. He carries with him a luchador mask, a rail road spike, and a chalupa. All trophies of the defeats he gave to Serial, John Henry, and Julio Guerrera. Ring Announcer: On his way to the ring, hailing from Houston, Texas. He is the Perfect Specimen... SULLY! Sully gets to the top of the ring steps and absorbs in all of the jeers from the fans. He exudes confidence and asks the ring announcer for the mic. Sully looks from his corner to the other and sees an all too familiar face or mask for that matter. The face of the Intercontinental champion, Serial. Those two have done more battle with each other more times than America and Russia. Sully is the lone PWA superstar to see Serial without the mask and Serial is the reason Sully now sports the bald look. Here they are for the fourth time in their careers and not for the fans. Tonight isn’t show business. It’s strictly business. It’s round one of the Three Hours of Power tournament. Sully and Serial are merely stepping stones for the other to get to the next level and then eventually they hope to reach the top and receive the number one contendership for the PWA world title. Both men find themselves at the proving ground once again. The bell sounds off to begin the contest but neither man jumps onto the other. That’s what attack dogs do and these men are competitors. Both men have built up a fan base in their time here at PWA. Both groups were cheering on for their favorite gladiator. Serial raises his hands in the air and chants of his name commence. Sully gives a sly grin and waits for it to die down before putting himself in the center of the ring and raising his arms to call on his fans. The cheers for the Perfect Specimen are louder and the fans also stomping their feet in admiration. This is lost on Serial. He has proven twice already that he can defeat Sully. It seems the crowd always favors the under dog. So be it, he thought, when you’re on the way to the top there’s no time to look and see who you’re stepping on. After the showboating and the gladiator-like praise the two finally lock up. From the collar and elbow tie up, Sully whips Serial around to get behind him. Sully then rolls him backwards to make a pin attempt but Serial is out before the ref can even get down to count one. The action stops again as the two lock eyes with each other. Sully seems to be making a ploy to play mind games with the Protested Hero. Effects may already be taking place. Serial gives a smile but seems to be a bit embarrassed that have been rolled up so quickly. Are you going to stand, Sully asks his combatant. Serial realizes he has limited himself to being on one knee. He gets back to a vertical base to go another round with the Taoist. It looks like the two are going for another collar and elbow tie up but this time Sully goes low and takes Serial down with an arm drag. Serial moves in too big of a haste and wanders into a hip toss. Serial sits up but gets Sully’s boot smacked across his back. The impact of the boot is foretold by the expression on Serial’s face and he remains in the seated position. Sully whips himself into the ropes and drills a low drop kick into Serial’s chest. Sully’s arsenal is coming in quick bursts, not allowing Serial a moment to defend. Sully lifts him up and whips him into the corner. Sully calls onto the crowd to pump up his adrenaline. Sully speeds up but has to put the brakes on as Serial has stepped out of the ring and onto the apron. Serial is thankful for the breather but doesn’t notice Sully climbing to the top turnbuckle. Sully springs himself off and connects with a triangle drop kick to Serial’s sternum. Serial spills to the outside and Sully remains in the ring. Sully looks to go in pursuit of his fellow man but the ref holds him back. This isn’t going to turn into a brawl. Sully obliges to the ref and showboats while he administers the ten count to the fallen Protested Hero. This is exactly what the King of Crosshairs needed. A little time to recover before locking up with the former TKW superstar again. If Sully wanted to go at a fast pace, he kind certainly keep up with him. The ref gets up to the count of 6 and Serial erects himself up against the apron. Sully grows impatient and reaches over the ropes for him. Serial sees his opportunity and trips the Taoist, then sliding him out of the ring. Sully’s brain is taking a moment to process where he is but before it can register, he is planted in the head with a spinning heel kick. The Perfect Specimen’s momentum is going up in flames. Sully is tossed into the ring and tries to rub the pain out of his temples. Sully stands to find his opponent and sees him catapulting himself back into the ring. Serial nails a cross body that turns into a cover. 1... 2... |

It has been a magnificent run for the current Intercontinental Champion Serial. Ever since his defeat at PojoCade VI to the then Hardcore Champion, Sully, the King of the Crosshairs has been unstoppable to say the least. The luchador garnered much attention after upsetting the Super N-Word and winning his first title, a title he holds to this day. On the other hand, The Perfect Specimen has been less then stellar as of late, losing his Hardcore title as well as his hair. Ever since defeating the Killa’ at the Trial of Champions, things have not gone so well for the Taoist. Well tonight marks a huge opportunity for both competitors, as tonight is the start of the annual Three Hours of Power. The winner of the tournament earns a shot at the PWA World Champion, whoever that may be at the time. Tonight, all the pain, all the glory, all the blood, all the pride… it all comes full circle. For the fourth time in their short careers, these two men go one on one, mano a mano, with the winner advancing one step closer to glory and the defeated leaving with nothing but a missed break. The two PWA superstars both want to leave with a win, and both know full well that it will be a fight to the finish. There may not be two other men currently active that know each other more than Sully and Serial. These two masters of the mat have had a series of contests with each being more exciting than the last, and each has tasted the sweetness of victory, and the bitterness of defeat. There is no love loss, in fact at Pandemonium they settled a heated rivalry, but some feuds never die. The fans nervously watch the hand motions of the official, as his hand raises for the third time, but before his hand can hit the mat for the significant three count, the Intercontinental Champion raises his shoulder off of the mat, thus forcing this first round contest to continue, much to the delight of the fans. Not wanting his momentum to completely crash and burn, the Perfect Specimen quickly lifts himself off of his enemy looking to continue his reign of punishment. The Taoist proceeds to stomp away at the aching body of the Serial causing pain each time his boot makes contact with the anatomy of the Champion. After a few hits to his body, Serial finally forces himself to a standing position, albeit with assistance from the ropes nearest him. The Protested Hero does not receive the opportunity to regain his composure as the former Hardcore Champion is relentlessly on his path. It is symbolic to the path Sully’s career is on at the moment, before the former TKW star can truly make a name for himself, he is going to have demolish the road block in front of him, the man who has defeated him on multiple occasions, and has even won his hair, the man known the world over as Serial. Before the King of the crosshairs even has a chance to defend himself, he is jolted against the ropes after his head is cranked back via a forceful forearm smash. The Houston native rushes his enemy once again this time smashing his esophagus with a high impact clothesline, hitting Serial with enough momentum to send him over the ropes. The luchador is able to hold onto the ropes before falling out, and attempts to skin the cat, but Sully will not allow him entrance into the ring as he is waiting for him on the other side of the ropes. What is the Zodiac’ Apotheosis to do? If Sully won’t let him in… Serial will take him out! The Protested Hero lifts himself over the ropes and wraps his legs around the head of the Perfect Specimen. The high flyer proceeds to toss his opposition to the outside of the squared circle with a hurricanrana! Both men smash into the mats as the crowd roars in approval. The official sticks his head between the middle and top rope, looking over the two competitors as he begins to count the men out. After a few counts both gladiators begin to move but neither making much progress. It isn’t until the six count that the Masked Marvel staggers to his feet, obviously still feeling the effects of his own offensive arsenal. Donny: Hey Johnny, what happens if this match ends in a double count out? Johnny: It won’t happen… IT CAN’T HAPPEN!!! But I don’t know, Commissioner Smalls didn’t really give many details regarding Three Hours of Power. By the looks of it, Serial is going to make it before the ten count, but will Sully? Before the seven count can be heard from the PWA zebra, the current IC title holder rolls beneath the bottom rope and into the ring. Sully crawls to the apron as the ref reaches the eight count, and is inside the ropes just ahead of nine, but more importantly before he is counted out. Both men are seen laid out on the canvas, their stomach pumping up as they try to regain a second wind. It is apparent that this match has taken its toll on both the Taoist and the Luchador. The competitors know what is on the line here in the Dunkin Donuts Center, a chance at not just any gold, but the most prestigious gold in not only PWA, but all of professional wrestling. The adrenaline is pumping through the veins of both men as the superstars make their way to a full stance. Serial immediately takes a risk as he jumps into Sully with a high knee, but as they say. it is all risk, no reward, because the Texan is able to side step the possible match concluding blow. The Killa maintains his balance but leaves himself open to any offense from his enemy. Sully has never been one to turn down an opportunity and this chance is no different. The former three time Hardcore title holder turns the dumbfounded champion around and sends him crashing to the mat with the Snow Crash. Sully without delay makes the cover as the crowd gives a mixed reaction. The referee slides down to the mat and makes the count… ONNNEE!!! TWWOOOO!!!! It is not enough as once again the “Upset Special” is able to kickout just before the three count. Sully looks down in frustration, and without more ado, realizes that he has more work to do... More work to do if he has any aspirations of being a PWA World Champion. |

Both of these warriors know the feeling of winning a title here in the Pojo Wrestling Alliance. Sully has had the feeling of winning the Hardcore title an unprecedented three times, while Serial has won gold just once, but has been able to defend it on multiple occasions, and is still it’s holder to this day. But as spectacular as these superstars are… neither has had the satisfaction of winning the most significant championship in this organization. Well tonight has commenced the biggest singles tournament this calendar year, and the prize? The reward is none other than a title shot at the World Champion, whomever it may be at the time. To win the tourney is wearisome task, but well worth the expenditure. In what could have been a phenomenal semi-final match or dare I say Final, is taking place in just the opening round. These two superstars both have it what takes to win the competition, but only one will make it past the first round. The question on everyone’s mind at the moment is who? It would be easy to say the Intercontinental Champion, a man who has been able to defeat everyone who has crossed his path, and garner an excellent “hot streak.” Some may say the winner will be the Perfect Specimen, Sully, the man who was last able to defeat the Masked Marvel in singles competition, and at the Trial of Champions, nonetheless. Well, with the match well underway, the talk is over, and now it is time to witness the finish. As they say… actions speak louder than words. With his previous attempt at concluding the bout unsuccessful, The Taoist quickly gets to a standing position and without hesitation begins to stomp away at his downed rival. Serial can not help but roll out of the ring and down to the mats on the outside, to safer grounds. With the King of the Crosshairs on the outside, trying to recuperate from his had just beating received, a light bulb flashes in the mind of the Houston native. The Texan hits the ropes, and immediately the fans recognize the familiar strategy, a line of attack used mainly by Sully’s opposition… Serial. Like a bullet freshly shout out of a revolver, the Specimen flashes through the middle and top rope, colliding with the aching luchador, sending the Incognito crashing violently into the steel guard rail. The ref begins to count out the two competitors, but it is unimportant as the former Hardcore Champion is up on his feet in a rapid manner almost as if the frightening fall had no ill effect on him. The three time champion lifts the Protested Hero to his feet, against his will without a doubt, and irish whips him into the steel post. A sickening “thud” fills throughout the Rhode Island arena, but before the anatomy of the Killa’ can fall to the ground, his head is forced into the post once again as Sully follows up the whip with a physically powerful lariat, forcing the covered head of the Intercontinental Champion to be stuck between two hard places. To no one’s surprise, the body of the Zodiac’s Apotheosis immediately collapses to the ground, with the Cruiserweight’s legs looking like they were made of rubber. The Specimen hears the count progress to a hazardous number, and grabs the lifeless body of the luchador and tosses it into the squared circle prior to entering the ring himself. Now inside the ring, the risk of countout is zilch, but probability of pain is very likely. Once again, Sully lifts his opponent, this time by his mask, and places him in the torture rack position. Johnny: Is Sully going to do what I think he is going to do? Although the set up was similar, the finale was much different as Sully dropped Serial onto his head not with a Torture Rack Piledriver, but with a reverse Death Valley Driver. The Taoist flips the body of the King of the Crosshairs, hooks a leg, and tries once again for a pinfall. ONNNEEE!!! TWWOOOO!!! Johnny: HE KICKED OUT!!!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE HE KICKED OUT!!!! Sully does not attempt to argue with the official about a slow count, but rather goes on the offense once again, choosing not to let up on his dangerous foe. Sully’s heel meets the head of the Killa’ with a forceful soccer like kick, causing Serial’s head to bounce in the air before smashing onto the mat once again. With his enemy surely incapacitated, the Perfect Specimen rushes to a corner and ascends to the top rope, as he once again looks to conclude this match. Without a second to spare, the former Hardcore Champion dives through the air with such precision and magnificence, but before he can react he notices that his enemy has lifted his knees to about his abdominal region. What follows is a hideous crash, that lays both men to waste. Whether Serial was playing possum or was just lucky does not matter as the official counts the two men out once again. The warriors do not move until about a five count, with both near a standing position at about seven. The ref stands behind Sully before the two competitors meet once again. Serial does something out of the ordinary. He pushes his foe into the ref, causing the ref to almost lose his balance, but more importantly distracts him. Serial follows up with a malicious low blow, a true Rudo move. The crowd moans in displeasure as Sully falls to the mat, as shocked as everyone in the arena. Without a moment to spare, The Protested Hero ties up Sully arms around his legs and begins to rapidly elbow the head of the Taoist. The Killa’ does not let up, and ref no longer distracted checks on Sully, contemplating stopping the fight. How many more vicious elbows can Sully take before he blacks out? |

The hand of Sully doesn't slap the canvas, but the bell is rings anyway. Instead of tapping out to the flurry of elbows the hand of Sully had fallen too limp for the referee not to end this contest, thus awarding the Intercontinental Champion a victory. Ring Announcer: Here is your winner and advancing in the Three Hours of Power tournament...Serial! Despite “Earth People” hitting, Serial continues his assault on the fallen warrior. Eventually the referee is forced to peel the champion from his prey for the beatings to stop, Serial rolling to the outside and grabbing his belt to the sound of boos. |
