Tonight was go time. Inside the squared circle, two warriors of Lucha stood in opposing corners of the ring, each ready for a war of their life time. In one corner with his lovely wife Lightstar, stood the man who beat the odds and defeated Hellfire. The second is the reigning intercontinental champion and new member of Revolution Inc. The Indystar verses Serial. The Smartass without Fear verses The Protested Hero. Due to the request of both wrestlers, their match is under modified lucha-libre rules, but the rules still affected both wrestlers’ performance, specifically the rule that bans the piledriver. As the two men entered the center of the ring, Indy raises his arms, wiggling his fingers and expecting some sort of gesture Spanish Johnny Thunder: <Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Cleveland Ohio, where I, Spanish Announcer Johnny Thunder, will bring you the play by play of the match>* Donny: Seriously, and I thought normal Johnny was annoying Somehow the Protested Hero understood Indy’s actions and wove his hand into Indy’s. Raising his other hand, Indy receives Serial’s dry palm and goes to bend back on the younger luchadore’s fingers. Both men were of equal strength, neither could bend each other’s knuckles back but it wasn’t Greco-Roman knuckle locks these two were going for, this was going to be a test of strength. After a couple moments, the Killa starts to push back on the Indystar, forcing the Toonster onto his toes just so he doesn’t fall onto his back. Soon Indy’s back is arched perfectly, his crown touching the floor, while Serial tries to push the shoulders of the Bridge City Hero onto the mat. For a split second Indy relaxes and lays his shoulders on the mat, forcing the referee to drop to the mat. Before even a one count can be registered, Indy lifts both his shoulders off the dry mat and starts to push back, regaining more footing on the mat till both of his feet are flat on the canvas. Serial struggles to stay on vertical base but Indy takes a step and starts to force Serial’s spine into an arch. Soon the King of the Cross-Hair’s torso is bridged perfectly as he uses his toes and crown to balance himself above the canvas. His shoulders stay above the mat as Smartass without Fear bends the man’s knuckles, in hopes to force his opponent to relax and get himself pinned. After a couple seconds of no change, Indy leaps into the air and lands on Serial’s abdomen, kneeling on the Masked Marvel and still keeping the Greco-Roman knuckle lock synched in tight. With powerful stomach muscles, Indy lifts his lower body up and prepares to drive his knees into the gut of reigning intercontinental champion. Scouting this, Serial drops to his back and uses his feet to keep Indy from landing and pushes the Star back to feet; as Indy lands back to vertical, Serial lifts himself up and throws Indy to the canvas with a arm drag. While Indy does get dragged by his arm to the mat, he barrel rolls to soften the fall. Momentum begins to build in the match prematurely as Indy goes for a dropkick and misses, allowing Serial to pin him. Just as the referee drops to his knees, Indy kicks out and rolls from under Serial; Serial tries to get up himself but Indy trips him and goes for the pin but the Masked Marvel kicks out at zero. Getting back to his feet, Indy pulls Serial’s feet from under him, just as the King of the Cross-Hairs was about to get back up, and dives for arm, twisting the limb into an arm wrench. He forces Serial onto his feet and twists the arm tightly to agonize the Revolution Inc. luchadore. To add more tension to arm, The Toonster ducks under the limb and twists it even tighter, almost forcing The Killa to bow down to a unknown person, just so he can relieve some tension in his shoulder. While his mind is clouded with pain, the Protested Hero walks around the ring while Indy fallows suit to keep the pressure on his arm wrench on tight till he faces a corner. He goes running towards the turnbuckles, using them as a springboard to do a back flip; whatever Serial had planned, it failed, as Indy went under the arm again and re-applied his arm wrench. The Zodiac Apotheosis grabs his own arm and tries to twist his arm out of the wrench, only to get locked back into the arm bar maneuver. S.Johnny: <Serial is currently unable to unlock the arm wrench which Indystar has applied onto him> Donny: What are you saying!? I don’t speak Italian!! His arm was starting to go numb, which wasn’t a good thing for Serial. The reigning commonwealth champion grabs onto a rope and uses it to back flip out of the arm wrench and successfully escapes, applying a hammerlock on the Canadian Smartass. Indy drops to his knee and turns around trying to break the lock but the Masked Marvel applies an arm wrench of his own and forces the Bridge City Hero to stay on one knee. He grits his teeth and holds back a scream while he formulates a reversal. Twisting to the direction of the arm currently being twisted, Indy is able to pull his arm away but he isn’t finish. He grabbing the hand of Serial and goes for a rolling thunder, but Serial catches on and rolls with him, able to quickly apply a cravate on the Saskatoon native. The King of the Cross-Hairs forces his opponent into a sitting position while he stays on one knee, squeezing Indy’s neck like bendy straw between his lower arms and bicep. As Lightstar watches her husband struggle to get up, she starts to encourage her husband by shouting an unknown comment in her native tongue. It seems to do the job as The Indystar starts to get back to his feet, forcing his opponent back to vertical base. As soon as both men are stand up, Indy wraps his arms around Serial’s waste and starts to step back, moving closer and closer to the ropes. With a hard shove and the use of the ring ropes, Indy pushes the Masked Marvel off him and sends him to the opposing ropes and pursuits after him. Instead of ricocheting off the ropes like pinball, Serial uses the top rope to stop him and surprise his opponent by lifting him up in the air. Instead of landing outside of the ring, on the ring apron or on the ropes, the third best Saskatoon wrestler plops onto the Killa’s shoulders and then dumped onto his back on the mat. A hand wraps around the ankle of the Star and rolls him back to his feet, only to receive a spinning side kick to the stomach. Although doubled over, Indy races after Serial who ran to the ropes and applies a waist lock as the Zodiac Apotheosis’s front side hits the ropes. Both wrestlers’ rolls back as Indy goes for a roll-up pin but the momentum causes the Canadian Smartass to roll back to his feet while Serial kips back onto vertical base. The two men strike a pose to one another, showing how equal they truly are; a stand-off…what a perfect way to start a match. OoC: *As you can guess, Spanish Johnny Thunder speaks only spanish thus any comments between the < > are translated And Serial, sorry if I ruined your chance to open, I had this creativity and went with it. To say it has been an interesting week for the two competitors would be a severe understatement. The Upset Special was able to come through with a victory over his eternal rival, The Perfect Specimen, Sully. Although some could say he “stole” the win with his unseen low blow, a victory is a victory. Ever since winning his Intercontinental Championship the night after PojoCade, Serial has been unstoppable as of late, defeating every challenger put against him. Every challenge has been difficult for the Masked Marvel, and tonight shall not differ. After pulling off a monumental upset last Monday against the early favorite Hellfire, The Indystar’s confidence coming into the second round is at an all time high. A win tonight would surely boost the ego of the former Cruiserweight Champion on his quest to destroy Revolution Inc. and earn a shot at the biggest prize in wrestling today. Will the confidence of Indy overcome the determined Serial? And what role will the Toonster’s wife, Lightstar, have in this action packed bout? Thus far the match has been a stalemate, with neither man being able to gain control of the contest. The intensity of this second round contest clogs the arena, as the fans can not help but look on in ecstasy. The two luchadors circle the ring as they jock for a better positioning. In a moment’s notice, the warriors race to the center of the ring as they turn up the pace of the match. The Incredible Incognito sticks his arm straight out, in his attempt to clothesline the Canadian but the thirty-three year is able to evade and continues towards the ropes. The Saskatoon native swiftly bounces to the top rope and somersaults onto his opponent, who takes most of the damage as the two Cruiserweights crash onto the canvas. The Smartass without Fear gets to his feet in a flash and lifts his opposition to his feet. The Bridge City Hero grabs his foe’s wrist tightly before irish whipping him, but before Indy can let go, the whip is reversed. Once again, the two hundred and five pounder hits the ropes, and jolts back towards the Zodiac’s Apotheosis, who is able to catch the lightning fast Canadian. The burst of momentum is used against The Indystar, who tries to dizzy Serial with a tilt-a-whirl, which is countered into a Gorilla Press. It is rare occasion that the Intercontinental Champion is the larger competitor and the Champion uses his size and strength advantage to his benefit. The Killa’ forces the former Champion down from the Gorilla Press to an intestine blowing Gut Buster, which causes the Asian-Canadian to gasp for oxygen. The Protested Hero immediately flips his damaged enemy to his back and makes the cover. The Masked Marvel hooks the leg as the referee slides down to make the count. UNO!!! DOS!!! TR- The Final Judgment, a move that Serial has not used in ages, is not enough to keep the Saskatoon Superstar down for the count of three. Without a moment to spare, Serial transitions his body towards the head of his rival. After gripping the head, the cranium of the Bridge City Hero becomes the next target of the Killa’s offense. Shrieks of dismay from Indy’s lovely wife, Lightstar, ring throughout the Wolstein Center, as she bares witness to the violent offense wrecking the skull of her husband. Without any sort of remorse the hooded luchador continuously smashes his knee into the cranium of his second round opposition. The sharp Muay-Thai knees keep hitting their target directly, and at this point the ref drops down to the mat to check if Indy is able to continue this evening. Having seen enough damage inflicted to her man, the courageous Okinwanan Sensation soars onto the apron, screaming her lungs out in her native language. The annoying screeches of the Mistress of Katanas are enough to force Serial to break his flood of knees in order to deal with the distraction. The King of the Crosshairs walks over towards the disturbance with a smirk clearly visible even through the mask. Johnny: ¿Qué hace él? Donny: What do you mean what is he doing? He’s taking care of a problem! Lightstar shouldn’t be sticking her nose in business that does not deal with her. Johnny: What are you talking about? That’s Indy’s wife!!! Serial nods his head towards the entrance, and can not help but express amusement as the speakers begin to play “Cereal Killer” by Green Jello. The curtains are knocked off the entrance as everyone’s favorite Cereal Killer rushes towards the ring, in his bloody mascot costume. Toucan Son of Sam makes his return to PWA a pleasant one for Serial as he pulls Lightstar off of the apron, much to the dismay of the eBay bought babe. With the foreign female out of the way thanks to Serial’s equalizer, the Masked Marvel can now turn his attention back to the man keeping him from moving onto the final four of the Three Hours of Power Tournament. The disruption did however, provide Indy enough time to recuperate from his brutal beatdown, and the instant Serial turned to his foe, he was met with with a pair of boots from the Canadian Kid. The missile dropkick sends the Incredible Incognito through the middle and top rope and to the apron. Indystar scurries towards his enemy who is beginning to regain his footing while on the apron, and flips over him. The flip leads to an unexpected powerbomb, which smashes the spine of the Masked Marvel onto the covered concrete. The sound of a human anatomy colliding with the unforgiving arena floor is more than likely going to haunt fans for days. Johnny: Ay Dios Mio! That was a horrific Sunset Flip Powerbomb!!! These luchadors are pulling out all the stops tonight! It just goes to show you how important a World Title shot is to both of these men. The problem is that only one of these men can make it to the Semi-Finals. Donny: By the looks of Serial at the moment, he will be lucky if he is able to finish the match, nonetheless win it. My money is on Indystar, besides have you seen Lightstar? She is looking very… uh… healthy… Yeah, healthy. The official begins to count out the two participants much to the displeasure of the crowd, who don’t mind if this intense contest spills a bit closer to them. The Bridge City Hero lifts his Mexican counterpart by the fibers holding together his mask, and tosses him into the steel guard rail. The force of the steel inflicts pain to the already damaged back of the King of the Crosshairs, who collapses to the ground on impact. The official’s count increases, but it doesn’t concern Indy at the moment. In fact, the only fixation in the complex mind of the Smartass is the destruction of his foe… the Intercontinental Champion, Serial. Things are beginning to look horrific for the Masked Marvel. Can he find a way out of his current situation? Or will the fiery Canadian keep his word and move on to the next round at the cost of Serial’s winning streak? Only one man can taste victory here in Ohio, but who? |

To Serial, it hurts to move as his spine rests on the steel barrier outside of the ring. The action was red hot and furious in Cleveland as the battle of Lucha Libre between the Indystar and Serial spilled to the outside of the ring. Recently, Serial’s cereal loving bird, Son of Toucan Sam, had attacked the lovely Lightstar but had cost the Masked Marvel offensive advantage. Receiving a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from out of nowhere, Serial was in pretty bad shape but Indy? He was in a good mood. While the referee started his twenty count, Indy uses it to his advantage and grabs the back of the Killa’s mask to drag him away from the guard rail. He first applies an arm wrench and goes to whip the Revolution Inc. Luchadore but as the masked man runs past him; the Canadian Smartass drives his shoulder into the man’s torso and drills him into the ring post back first. Serial’s eyes close brutally tight while his teeth clench; he is in unbelievable pain and can’t even think of a word to describe how much he didn’t want to be a wrestler that moment. The Son of Toucan Sam is distraught by the fact he can’t help his friend without harming his chances of winning as he watches the Indystar turn the King of the Cross-Hairs around, only to drive a forearm to the man’s lower back. Twelve Thirteen The referee’s count starts to get into the teens as Serial drops to his knees and reaches for the spot that Indy struck him. Before the striped shirted man could finish his count, Indy rolls The Protested Hero back into the ring and fallows suit, breaking the count; but the Indystar rolls back out and pulls the Zodiac Apotheosis back out of the squared circle, restarting the count. Johnny: <The Indystar is using the twenty count to his advantage as he attacks the back of the Masked Marvel known as Serial> Meanwhile, Donny is looking through a “Spanish to English” dictionary, trying to find a way to make witty comments to Spanish Johnny Donny: Let’s see….uh….oh <I want to fondle the Indy and Serial your crotch> …Meanwhile, the unmasked marvel, the Indystar, drives Serial, the only masked wrestler in the match, into the actually side of the ring, sending the Killa into a new wave of pain and agony. Serial bites his lip as Indy lifts him up only to drop him back onto the corners of the ring. As the referee reaches seventeen, Indy rolls Serial back into the ring and climbs back into the squared circle, diving onto Serial like a jungle cat on a defenseless rat. With a seated senton, the tailbone of the Indystar slams into Serial’s back, further injuring the backside of the Mexican wrestler. It’s not surprise to see Indy, a usual fan favorite, use evil tactics to fight an opponent like this but the Smartass wants to win this no matter what, even if it means bending the rules. He lifts his opponent back to vertical base then pushes his upper body down so he could wrap his arms around the King of the Cross-Hairs’ gut. With one mighty gut wrench lift, the Canadian Smartass lifts his opponent onto his shoulder and bounces the Zodiac Apotheosis’ backside. With each small bounce, Serial’s back comes into contact with the shoulders of the Indystar, further bending his spine back like a rubber band. The Revolution Inc. member goes limp across the shoulder of the Bridge City Hero, all the fight gone within him; with now weaken opponent, Indy falls back, snapping the younger luchadore across his shoulders with a Canadian backbreaker. With one push, Serial is rolled onto his stomach as Indystar lies on the mat, catching his breath. The arena lights burn his pupils but he can’t help but stare at them for a couple seconds. Finally Indy does a kip up with no hands and walks up to the now unconscious Serial and grabs the man’s legs. Stepping on back of both the Mask Marvel’s knees, Indy wraps his legs with Serial’s legs and bends down to slap him on the sides of his abdomen. At first Serial resists, knowing quite well what the move Indy has planned for but Guerrero Graduate continues to slap his sides before losing his temper and leaping up to stomp Killa’s knees in. Finally after another slap to the sides, Serial bends his arms back and allows Indy access to his wrists. Soon the Zodiac Apotheosis is rocked on his stomach, back and forth, back and forth till his smaller older opponent lifts him up; Serial groans in pain…he’s locked in the surfboard. S.Johnny: LA TAPATIA!! LA TAPATIA!! Donny: Uh….we don’t serve tacos or tapacos, whatever you call them The referee checks with Serial, asking the masked wrestler if he wants to give up. “No” responds the King of the Cross-Hairs as his back is stretched in the Romero Special. Indy struggles to keep his opponent in the air while trying to not get pinned, since it was easy to forget that his shoulders could lie on the mat and his opponent was above him. While the hold was inescapable, Indy could not hold it any longer and drops to his side, slamming Serial to the mat as well. While the Indystar rolls back onto his feet, the Masked Marvel’s trusted assistant, Son of Toucan Sam, screams bird calls to get his friend and mentor to get back up but it seems to have no affect what so ever. Meanwhile, Lightstar starts her own little rally, getting a section of the fans to root for her husband, who at the moment was turning the Killa onto his back. The arms of the Bridge City Hero wrap around the legs of the Masked Marvel and tie them together; it’s obvious to the true wrestling fan that Indy is going for a Texas Cloverleaf. As Indy goes to turn Serial over, The Revolution Inc. luchadore stops in mid turn and snakes out from under Indy. Wrap his hands around the back of the Star’s neck; Serial reverses the Cloverleaf into a small package. The referee dives to the mat and raises his hands as Serial snuggles his body close around the Indystar to synch in a pin fall Uno Dos Indy kicks out and rolls away as Serial kips back up to vertical base. The Toonster races towards his opponent but receives a gamengiri for his troubles. The Indystar lands head first on the mat while Serial goes to his knees, rubbing his lower back. Even with the mask on, sweat pours down Serial’s face like a facet had broken in his forehead. With baby like steps, Serial walks towards Indy on his knees and hooks his opponent’s arm in chicken wings before driving his knees into the crown of the Indystar. The referee warns Serial that this wasn’t the UFC and gives him a count of four before threatening to disqualify the Mexican wrestler. Lifting Indy back up with a cravate, The Protested Hero releases his hold and turns around, whipping his leg into the side of Indy’s cranium. With such harsh force, Indy topples back to the ground and rolls to the outside. As the referee starts his twenty count, Serial uses the ropes opposing the side in which Indy rolled to as a slingshot, sending him towards the Canadian Smartass. With the force of a hundred luchadores at the boarder, Serial topes into the Indystar, sending both of them crashing to the ground. As the twenty count continues, how will the action get any better? |

When both men entered this contest, neither could have truly known what to expect. The two luchadores lay lifeless on the padding just outside the squared circle due to an unexpected Suicide Dive by the Masked Marvel. Before Indy’s body had an opportunity to dodge the bullet, he was already struck. The hands and head of the current Intercontinental Champion trampled the upper body of the Saskatoon Star, with the force sending both men to the ground… where they lay at this moment. The supporters of the competitors quickly hurdle over, checking on their correspondent, trying their best to revive their comrade or wife, before opponent does. They are acting like a pit stop so to say, because while they do not actually do any of the skirmishing, they are crucial in aiding their partner in victory. The Saskatoon Princess assists her stunned husband to a sitting position, and the journey to a standing position is halfway complete. Meanwhile, the King of the Crosshairs is still feeling the after effects of his high risk style, as he lies in an “X” like position on the mats. After a few deep breaths and words from his colorful friend, the Incredible Incognito attempts to get to his feet, but his effort is quickly demolished as his opponent stomps away at him. An annoyed Cereal Killer exchanges words with the Bridge City Hero, which initiates a confrontation. The thirty three year old is quick to go face to face with the former Hardcore Champion. Indy pushes at the Winged Warrior, to which Sam responds with a mighty push of his own, causing the former Cruiserweight Champion to fall back and almost lose his balance. It is at this time that the lovely wife of the Canadian joins in on the altercation by taking down the comical character with a hellacious spear. The Toonster turns his attention to his opponent, but is met only with the closed fists of the current Intercontinental Champion. The knuckles of the luchador swipe across the face of the Smartass without Fear causing the Canadian to tumble back, only to come back at Serial with more fury and anger, and to the amusement of the live audience, this “Lucha” has developed into an all out brawl. The brawling technique is a wrestling style that neither man is too familiar with, but when it comes to dealing punches and taking punches, there really is not too much that can be taught or learned. The scuffle, like much of the Lucha, is a deadlock, with each warrior trading off stiff shots. The brawlers soon realize that a count is taking place inside the ropes, and that if they don’t enter the ring soon, well, then neither man will move on to the next round. With a World title shot being the top prize for this tourney, it would be feebleminded to lose such an opportunity because of a countout. With the count at 18, there are very few moments to spare, but both continue to exchange fisticuffs just outside the squared circle. As “nineteen!” as shouted by the zebra, both competitors rush into the ring, as they slide beneath the bottom rope and inside the ring before the ref can reach the conclusive twenty count. The contestants rush to their feet, and continue the fast, aggressive pace, that makes places like Arena Mexico sold out every Friday night. The Lucha style is world renowned, and tonight it takes place inside a Pojo Wrestling Alliance ring. The Indystar hits the ropes once again, and dashes towards Serial with such speed, one could think he was shot out of a cannon. The self proclaimed “Third Best Saskatoon Wrestler” transitions into handspring, causing confusion in the mind of the Killa’. Once close enough, while in a handstand, the Canadian Smartass tightly wraps his legs around the head of the Zodiac’s Apotheosis, and swiftly tosses him onto the mat with a hurricanrana. The seasoned veteran remains seated on top of his larger opponent; grabbing hold of both legs, the expert takes his chance at a pinfall. The crowd waits in anticipation as the ref drops to the canvas in a rapid manner, and raises his hand high into the air. UNNOOOO!!!! DOOSSSS!!!!! TR--- The Masked Marvel powers out of the pinning predicament and flips himself as well as his foe into a pin attempt of his own. The Intercontinental Champ places his legs over the Asian Canadian’s arms, as he pins him down in a sitout position. The ref briskly begins the tally once more, this time in favor of the masked luchador. UNNNOOOO!!!! DDOOOSSSSS!!!! Indystar kicks his way out of the dilemma, his boots hitting the hooded figure directly in the jaw causing Serial to fall back and lose his positioning. The Masked Marvel quickly favors his mandible and flips on his stomach. The Smartass without Fear immediately sees the opening and pounces on top of the unguarded Champion. The former Cruiserweight Champion sits atop of the back of the Killa’, and gives Serial a taste of his own martial arts medicine. A flurry of fists smash into the side of the Incredible Incognito’s cranium, as Serial attempts to cover his head with his arms. It is not proving effective, and with each blow, the thoughts of making it to the Semi-Finals of Three Hours of Power seem to diminish. Looking to put a end to the contest, the arrogant Indystar wraps his arms around the throat of his damaged foe. Once the rear naked choke, a popular Jiu-Jitsu maneuver, is locked in tightly, the oxygen circulation to the Killa’s brain is completely cut off. The Protested Hero knows very well that if he stays trapped in the choke for too much longer, it would most definitely mean the end of his tournament bid. The heart of the Champion will not let him give up, and he reaches with all of his might to grip the bottom rope, but it is too far-flung. The moments tick by, and Serial is still in the choke. The official goes down to the mat and checks the condition of the submission victim by raising the arm high into the air. Gravity takes its course, and the arm flops down to the canvas. The official lifts the arm once again, but this time Serial grabs the official and uses him as assistance to get to his feet. Now standing, the King of the Crosshairs tries to walk over to the ropes, but the task is made difficult as the Bridge City Hero grapevines his legs around the Champion’s torso and cranks up on the chokehold’s clench. Serial desperately tries to pull the arms off of his throat, but it is no use, and with his vision beginning to black, Serial viciously falls back onto the mat, with both men hitting the canvas with force. The impact of hitting his head against the mat as well as being smashed in-between the mat and two hundred and twenty five pounds is enough to compel Indy to relinquish the choke. The Zodiac’s Apotheosis lies on top of his opponent as they both try to recover from the last few moments. The official notices the inadverted pin attempt, and begins the count. UNNOOO!!! DOOOSSS!!! The Smartass without Fear gets a shoulder off of the mat as he realizes that he is being counted out., but now he has much more to worry about rather than an inadverted pin attempt as Serial grabs his ankles and begins to stand. Within a series of seconds, the King of the Crosshairs stands still clinching onto the Canadian’s ankles and rotates to his right, causing Indystar to turn along with him. Now standing atop of the Bridge City Hero, the Intercontinental Campeon grabs the arms of Indy, still holding his legs just beneath his armpits. The Masked Marvel proceeds to lift the Canadian Smartass up, and completely locks in a submission maneuver of his own… a Campana. Like the move’s English translation, Indystar begins being rocked back and forth like a bell. After defeating Hellfire last week, this week should have been a piece of cake for Indy, but at the moment, it is uncertain whether he will be moving on in the tournament. Indystar does not surrender and wiggles like a worm, trying to miraculously to break out of the Lucha submission attempt. Soon realizing that Indy would give up, the Incredible Incognito lifts one of his own legs out of positioning and smashes his boot into the rocking head of the Toonster, sending it forcefully into the canvas. Serial then breaks the hold, knowing that the Death Stomp has done enough damage to his aerial gifted opponent. Johnny: ¿Qué demonios? Serial just transitioned from the Campana to the Death Stomp, which is a vicious move innovated by the Southern California legend… Super Dragon. Donny: That looked like it hurt. I thought Indystar had it won with the choke, but by the looks of it now, Serial just may be moving onto the next round. Johnny: These two warriors have fought their hearts out, but are things beginning to look grim for the seasoned veteran, Indystar? Or will he be able to regain his composure and turn the momentum of this match around? All of this action… and it’s barely round two of the Three Hours of Power tournament. |

To say he had a headache would be taking it likely. There is no way better to say this but Indy just had his head stomped in. His opponent, the grandson of the murderous Zodiac Killer, had just converted a campana into a curb stomp, driving the skull of the Indystar into the canvas. Serial then lifted his opponent back to his feet and wraps his arm around his head, while throwing the Canadian Smartass’ arm over his shoulder. With a simple lift, Serial turns Indy’s world upside down and holds him them. Stalling, not good for the Indystar; it causes the blood to drain into the back of the victim’s skull, not only risking death but literally drains the energy out of the attackee. Is this a symbolism of Indy’s quick rise and fall in the tournament? Who knows but Bridge City Hero is dropped hard on his head with a mighty brainbuster from the Zodiac Apotheosis. Both Lightstar and the Cleveland fans wince in pain as Indy’s forehead collided into the mat, with Serial smiling viciously. The violent cereal bird gives a big cheer as Serial kips back up to vertical base and lifts his opponent onto his feet. With subtle strength, Serial pushes Indy into the ropes and uses the ropes to send Indy into the opposing side; he waits for the Star to return and catches the Toonster by his waist. While being lifted up, the Saskatoon Native struggles and kicks Serial in the head, gaining his freedom but it backfires; the momentum that lifted the Bridge City Hero up onto The Killa’s shoulders also helped him get dropped on his head! Spanish Johnny: <OH My God!! Indy has been dropped on his head!> Donny: Is that a Piledriver? I think it was a piledriver The referee is confused. While Indy did get dropped on his head, it wasn’t like a regular piledriver, but more of a powerbomb. The striped shirt enforcer stops Serial from touching Indy by threat of disqualification and calls out a Mexican official. As the crowd waits for the decision, a man wearing an Abismo Negro mask runs down the entrance way and makes his way to the announcer. After a few words, the announcer stood up and held the microphone to his mouth: Announcer: According to special official El Grande Mistico, Serial had used a Ganso Bomb on the Indystar, and therefore not a piledriver!! The crowd cheers, the match continues with Serial going back to his assault. Lightstar feels powerless, even if the referee didn’t see anything, she fears this strict match will cause her to accidentally get her husband disqualified. The Masked Wonder lifts Indy up and applies an inverse facelock on the Canadian Smartass. The Protested Hero Welcome, it was the move he was working on Indy’s for. Grabbing the tights of the Smartass without Fear, Serial turns while lifting his opponent but as he drops, he stops….and realizes an arm is wrapped around his head. He looks up and sees Indy’s smiling face, and a thought ran through his head: “This is not good”. The Mask Marvel is lifted back onto his feet and then is pulled into arms of the Indystar; spun around like a baton, Serial lands on the thigh of the Indystar, his back bent back Trapped in the backbreaker submission, the King of the Crosshairs tries to lift himself up but the Indystar pushes down on the man’s chin to add strain to the neck. S.Johnny: <The Indystar has locked Serial is a backbreaking submission and may have regained the advantage in the match> Donny: ….uh……<chocolate?> “No” screams Serial, answering the referee’s obvious question. Although the pain in his back was immense, it didn’t make him want to tap. After a minute or two, Indy pushes the Revolution Inc. luchadore to the ground and heads to the ropes. Getting up on one knee, The Killa sees the Bridge City Hero heading towards him and waits for his opponent to return. Back from a trip to the ropes, Indy runs towards the Masked Marvel, who sweeps the legs from under the Canadian Smartass; Instead of falling onto his back, Indy does a back flip and lands on both feet, staring down the Zodiac Apotheosis. A moment is realization hits Serial before he is lifted up in a wheel barrel; his shins rest on the hips of the Indystar as the Smartass applies full nelson on the Masked Marvel to lock a Cristo. Screaming, Serial answers the referee’s question with a loud “No” before Indy coverts his Cristo into a backcracker! The crowd is amazed by the offense that Indy has displayed but it’s not over yet. After hitting the backcracker, Indy pulls back on the chin of the Protested Hero and locks another submission, a Carernaria! S.Johnny: Amazing Offense, OH SHIT! Donny: Ha! Caught you! You lazy bastard having a voice over working over your commentary <Hi, I’m Donny and I can’t hold my liquor>…What the hell was that!? “Do you give up” was starting to get annoying. Even with limited head movement, Serial shakes his head no and starts to slip his legs from the vicious hold. As soon as his legs were extended, Serial rolls back and applies an inverted facelock. With a might lift and turn, Indy is dropped with a Protested Hero’s Welcome!! A sharp scream echoes from the lungs of Lightstar as Serial pins his opponent Uno Dos Tre-NOOOOOO!!! In Serial’s mind he won, rising to his feet and raising his hands but the match continues since…Indy’s foot was on the ropes!! The referee calls to Serial and shows him Indy’s foot; Unexpectedly, Serial flips, jumping up and down on the mat and kicking the bottom turnbuckle before focusing back on the Indystar. He lifts him back up and applies another inverse facelock but just as he was about to turn, Indy reverses the Welcome by landing on his feet and turning the Masked Marvel so they were face to face. With one kick to the gut, Indy lifts Serial up and flips him onto his back. With limited time, Indy slips Serial’s legs in between his and applies a chin lock to lock in the Gory Tribute!! As soon as he is locked in the famed Guerrero submission, Serial struggles like a worm in a child’s hand but his struggling double as Indy drops to his elbow and knees and shuts down, trapping the Killa’s legs!! Johnny: Indy is using the Gory Tribute, and in the same way he did when he defeated New York Man for a cruiserweight title Donny: <I love the cock> GODDAMN IT, STOP DUBBING ME <I’m an idiot> |

At what point should a man call it “quits?” When there is nothing to gain? When there is so much to lose? Quite the technician, Indystar, has locked his foe into a conundrum of a submission. Not even the innovator of the submission, the Lucha Libre legend Salvador “Gory” Guerrero, could have had this dreadful modification of his move in mind, when he created the lock so many years back. With his legs locked in, Serial is having his chin pulled back, and with every moment that passes, the risk of getting a tendon strained or snapped increases. The variation that the seasoned veteran has produced does not have many escape routes, especially to one who has never been in a similar situation. The King of the Crosshairs is in a position similar to lab rat, as he has no idea what to expect, and the results could ensure his demise. The Protested Hero tries with all of his might to break out of the move; whether it is like a worm or through brute force. With his limbs locked in tightly, the amount of available options is low. The pain does not seem to subside, and is amplifying with each moment that passes. Elbows from the Masked Marvel viciously strike the ribs of the Canadian Smartass, but Indy simply will not break the submission. For as long as the Indystar has been competing here in the Pojo Wrestling Alliance, he has yet to receive a World Title shot, but tonight is his chance to move one step closer to that opportunity…. An opportunity of a lifetime. The Bridge City Hero listens closely for the inevitable tapping of the mat or body part, signifying the end of the match and his advancement in Three Hours of Power. Soon enough he hears the roar of the crowd, and the coming of the official to break the submission hold. Had he finally done it? Did Serial surrender in this hard fought contest? Before it could sink in, the ref began counting… and all hope was lost. As The Smartass without Fear dared look up, what he saw left him heartbroken. The picture of Serial’s right hand tightly grasping the bottom rope will surely haunt the mind of the Canadiasian for weeks to come. Before the referee reaches the five count, The Toonster breaks the hold and quickly goes back on the offense. He kicks the aching Killa’ until the luchador grabs the ropes once again. The King of the Crosshairs rushes to his feet, but is still feeling the consequences of being locked in the Gory Special, as he clinches onto his neck. The Indystar rushes in for a takedown, but at the last moment, instead surprised the Revolution Incorporated ally with a jaw shattering European Uppercut. The stiff blow sends the Incredible Incognito into the three ropes, which he clasps onto to maintain balance. His opponent will not let up though, as he rushes towards him with the speed and grace of a youngster, certainly not like a thirty three year old. Out of desperation the Zodiac’s Apotheosis uses Indy’s ridiculous amount of momentum against him by taking him down with a maneuver from his martial arts influence, the STO. The Darkness Falls, as Serial calls it, causes the back of the former TKW superstar’s cranium to crash against the mat unprotected. After the move successfully connects, it leaves both men drained on the canvas. The Protested Hero crawls over to his enemy and drapes an arm over the lifeless body of his much more experienced enemy. The referee, who has sweat dripping down his face, drops down and ignites the potential match ending count. Not a single seat in the entire arena is being put to use at the moment. Every single fan is on their feet, awaiting the official’s hand to hit the mat. The ref’s hand hits the mat for the first time as the audience looks in awe. UNNNOO!!! DOOSSS!!! Like every other count this far in this highly anticipated contest… the count is unsuccessful. It is signaled by the loud cheer of Indy’s number one fan, Lightstar, who lets out a tremendous roar. The initial reaction to the kickout is mixed, but the fans can not help but respect Indystar’s effort on this evening. Serial lifts himself off of the Canadian warrior and looks to the ref in frustration, asking for the count tally once again. It does not magically change, and the King of the Crosshairs lets out a deep breath in aggravation. After a few moments of self pity, the Incredible Incognito gets to his feet, looking more motivated than ever. He sees his relentless opponent quickly getting to his feet once again, and instead risking going on the immediate attack, the Killa’ allows Indystar to stand. After the Bridge City Hero is at full stance, the two exhausted superstars exchange stares before circling the ring once again. The crowd goes into a frenzy as the men jock for position, the two men pause for a second and take in the appreciation let out by the crowd. The two men meet in the center of the ring with a grapple, which quickly transcends into an Irish Whip by the Intercontinental Champion. The agile veteran ascends to the second rope before twisting back onto the his masked opposition with a diving crossbody. The impact of the collision causes both competitors to fall to the mat, but the sly Revoluchador uses the momentum to flip both bodies the moment they smash into the canvas. Like a car that flips over after a brutal car accident, the offensive move by Expert wrestler shifts into a pin attempt by the rookie. The crowd looks in shock as the referee swiftly glides down to the canvas to make the count once again. UNNOOOO!!!! DOOOSSSS!!!! Johnny: What a counter by Serial!!! It is no wonder they call him the “Upset Special,” a win over the veteran, Indystar, would surely boost him momentum going into the semi-finals. Will Indy find an out? Or will is he moments away being out? |
