Damon and Rex lock up in the middle of the ring. Damon ges the early advantage with a suplex. Rex turns things round with a few stiff punches followed by a DDT. Rex goes for the pin however Damon reverses it and turns it into a Boston crab. Damon launches Rex towards the ring ropes and nails a dropkick on the PWA main eventer. Damon picks up the body of his floored foe to stun him with an ebony diamond, Damon pins Rex for the potential upset win. the referee begins to count: 1...2...? |

SHOULDER UP! The crowd, as much as they would have liked to have witnessed Rex succumb to defeat, do not seem that surprised. After all, being just minutes into the match, they would never expect the so called Saviour of the PWA to fall that easy … right? Perhaps – but on the other hand, it looks as though Haraway is well and truly out for the count following Damon’s Diamond Cutter. A move known for taking it’s victims by surprise, the move seems to have done one better and taken Rex completely out; lying on his back, a vacant gaze remains fixated upon the lighting, blinding all that he can see. His temporary blindness isn’t missing much. The only thing he is unable to see is Damon on his feet once more, complaining to the referee about the fall. By the shrugging of the official’s shoulder, it’s clear that the Second Generation Superstar is clearly unhappy about something; maybe it’s the fact that a two count and Rex’s mysterious condition clearly don’t add up. Surely if Rex was that badly hurt then he would have remained down for the full three count? Unfortunately, Damon finds out the hard way that His Rexcellencey is far from wounded; peering through one eye, Rex quickly resumes his game of possum when he notices his adversary closing down the distance that separates them both. The instant that the Second Generation Superstar crouches down, hoping to bundle his opponent back onto his feet does the self-proclaimed saviour strike, rolling him up in a neat Small Package! The crowd erupt – but not with a frenzy of cheers. Quite the opposite, in truth. The referee slides over to the fall, unfortunately not in position to see just why the Rio de Janeiro crowd are booing; with one hand, Rex grabs the nearest bottom rope, making it almost impossible for Damon to escape. … ONE … TWO |

THREE! Rex gets his hand away from the ropes the instant the third count hits, and Kirk Fitzpatrick is none the wiser. The fans continue to boo his cheating tactics as he points to his brain while his hand is being raised. Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner by pinfall, REX HARDAWAY! Rex stops looking jovial and stares down at the ring announcer. The announcer sighs and follows it up with. Announcer: And that was REXCELLENT! Rex, returns to celebrating with the boos echoing behind him as we head to commercial. |
