What's your favorite novel? I'm getting back into reading non-picture books (ie-comics) so its a simple question; your favorite novel or book

Mine is Brave New World

Actually, it's not that simple a question. I suppose it's either American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov or Solaris by Stanisław Lem. The Stranger is up there somewhere, though I'm not sure if either would be number one. Oh, and In Search of Lost Time but that was definitely before I matured as a reader so I'd have to give that a second look.

I dunno, it changes way too often for me. My five favorite authors, though, are H.G. Wells, George Orwell, Kurt Vonnegut, Richard Matheson and Isaac Asimov... Pretty typical shit, really, that list hasn't changed at all since like, sophomore year of high school. I've been reading a lot of Cormac McCarthy lately, too, and am finding him to be pretty solid all around.

I'll answer too, since I have spammed it up a little bit. I'm a fan of Stephen King novels. Of which, Desperation is my all time favorite. I know King isn't as ... serious as some of the works listed, but when reading a book, I like to put my imagination to use. When I try to read about serious stuffs, I usually spend a good ... day on wikipedia. Srsly, I read the whole WWII article, and all of the linked articles to it!

The Desperation movie was fucking terrible. The Stand is my second favorite of his, and that film was actually very close to the book, and I thought it was a great watch. Despite sitting through the whole ... what? 6 hours? In one night.

And yes, the Batman sig, is the shit.

I think King is pretty good. It's just cool to hate him because he has mainstream appeal, it's pretty dumb. I've been wanting to read his Dark Tower series for awhile now, just don't have much time for reading anymore.
