Yes, I love that story. Well, I love Poe in general, but that is definately one of my favorites that he did.

My favorite is The Raven.

The Poe Museam is in my hometown, BTW.

Well, "The Raven" is my favorite poem (not just of his, I mean my favorite poem ever :) ), but as far as his short stories go, I think "The Pit and the Pendulum" might be my favorite. "The Fall of the House of Usher" was pretty good, too, though... so was "The Cask of Amontillado"... *ponders which one is her favorite* I dunno. He wrote a lot of stuff I love.

Tomb, you might want to visit the Poe Museam in Richmond!

It's very informing!

Plus, we might get to meet each other!

Man those Ads at the bottom. Power over Ethernet (POE) and Pendulum ringtones. :D

Anyways i've read a few of his short stories and i liked them. They were weird though. Actually my health teacher told me Poe did some drug like opium.

That's definately a good reason!

I would like to see the museum someday. Poe was amazing (even if I don't like his stories about hot air balloons  ).

Wasn't that when he was doing his work with sci-fi?

Yeah. He wrote a few things with hot air balloons... one about people crossing the Atlantic in one, one about a guy flying to the moon in one. *sigh* They were fine, I guess, but I just didn't respond to them well.

He was one of the first guys to work with what would become modern science fiction.

Mm. That's kind of sad, actually, because I don't really like his science fiction stories. I love his horror/thriller stories; I think they're great! I mean, he is one of my favorite authors of all time. But his science fiction... *shrug*... with modern scientific knowledge it just seems a bit stupid, I guess.

Have you seen the Simpson's version of The Raven?

Oh yes. I love it when Homer says, "Why you little...!" and tries to strangle the raven. It's great at the end, too, where Bart wasn't scared by the story, but then it shows Homer outside the treehouse being freaked out. Poor guy.

Poor Homer... always the butt of every joke.

So, did you ever see The Fall of the House of Usher with Vincent Price?

Aw, sadly, no. Weird, since I love that story and I love Vincent Price. Yesterday I watched him in The House of Wax, actually (the old one, obviously :P ). I'm sure I will someday. I'll see that it's on TCM or something and watch it.
