Wow, the man's overrated in Fall of the House of Usher makes William Shatner look like Orlando Bloom! I know, only I got that reference, but it's true! |

Vincent Price overrated?
It can't be! Aw, now I have to see it, cuz I truly love Price. Well, I love Shatner, too, but for different reasons. You can't be a self respecting nerd and not love Shatner!

It's okay. We all do stuff like that sometimes. Strange, though. I usually think of Vincent Price as being fairly subtle... especially cnsidering some of the larger than life characters he's played.

He REALLY overacted in FOTHOU. And why did they make the sister such a bigger role? I guess we'll never know! |

I don't know cuz I haven't seen it.
I will, though, someday. I mean, it mixes Poe and Price, two of my great loves. I have to see it!

Indeed, that's one of his best. There are some more subtle, loger stories, too, notably the Narrative of Authur Gordon Pym. For fans who don't have any of his books, you can read all his works on-line at http://bau2.uibk.ac.at/sg/poe/Work.html and I'm sure at other Web sites. Some of the favorietes includ "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Masque of the Red Deat," "The Purloined Letter," and of course, "The Pit and the Pendulum." (As they say: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!) |

Just, whatever you do, do not read "The Unparalleled Adventures of One Hans Pfall." Don't do it! Okay, it's just a personal thing. I was really disappointed by that story.
I thought that movie was going to be better than it was. I mean, I still liked it, but... I dunno, I just thought it would be better. *shrug* |

*runs to Will's side* *starts fanning him frantically* *puts smelling salts under his nose* I didn't say I didn't like it. I just thought it would be better. It was kind of... anticlimactic. Jodi's character reminded me a lot of her character from Silence of the Lambs, too, and it felt hackneyed, like I'd already seen her do that before.

Yeah, she rocks, and she played it well. It was more the script than anything.
You ever see her on The Partridge Family? She was so cute! Dang, this is not about "The Pit and the Pendulum" at all. Um... Spanish Inquisition! Yeah... The Inquisition, let's begin! The Inquisition, start right in!

Wait, rewind... Jodie Foster was in The Partridge Family? LOL, I always say that my ex-girlfriend looks like Jodie Foster when Jodie was 14. It's true! |

Yeah, she was on one episode as Danny's crush. It was pretty cute. Aw, your ex must be cute, then, cuz Jodi was really pretty at that age. Well, she still is, actually. Gah! I must not spam! I must talk about "The Pit and the Pendulum!" Unfortunately, the last time I read it was... *thinks* about 5-6 years ago. Not the best when you're trying to come up withsomething to say about a work. Um, how about... that dude was really lucky, because I'm sure I would have fallen into the pit right at the very beginning.
