About the Username: Alia Atreides was a character from Frank Herbert's sci-fi novel "Dune." She was a character I used to RP, and the name Alia has kinda stuck for me online.

Other Usernames: For a brief stint I was "Twilight Rogue" on several RP forums, and also used that on KttC. KttC, it never would have worked out between us darling, I'm sorry. Elsewhere I've gone by "Hildwyn of Rohan", "Hildwyn", or "Alia-Hildwyn".

About me: I'm a big fan of the first PotC movie, Curse of the Black Pearl, and not at all a fan of, or really tolerant of the last two films. I'm not really looking forward to the fourth movie either. Commodore Norrington (not Scruffington, nor Admiral Norrington) is my favourite character from the films, and I also adore the character of Lt Gillette. I think Beckett was one of the few only good points from DMC, and that Davy Jones was the other (Bill Nighy is just amazing).

I'm a rabid Sci-fi fan, and love the Twilight Zone, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Earth Final Conflict, all of Isaac Asimov's books, Arthur C. Clark, Robert Heinlein, Frank Herbert's Dune, and old issues of Analog.

I enjoy writing a lot, fanfiction or freeform roleplaying, and I've run several RPG forums. Photoshop owns my soul, and what it doesn't own, and what my studies don't, belongs to either writing or painting. Though there is a good case that at least since half of that painting is on photoshop, that part of what is left over might actually belong to photoshop.
