I think I got it off POTCfandom back in the day. Or maybe I recorded it myself, but I don't think so.
*checks* No, it was POTCfandom.

I think it's on The Cache, but I understand that The Cache will be closed for a while as final preparations are being made for the grand opening.
Er... The zip file's 45.6 KB. I can email it to you, if you want. :)

Pleeeeeeeeease! :innocent:

Oh yea, thanks so much PG! Now my laptop is completly piratized. :D :rackham:

How exactly do I save a sound to my computer? I've never done that before. I have no idea.

On that site, you can either do a right-click and 'Save Target As', or just click on each link and then save. It's pretty straightforward. :)

I dunno how I missed going to this site before! I had a ton of POTC sound clips before from way back when (can't remember the site now--prolly the same one Dutch mentioned). I guess I thought these were ones I already had, but I think there were a few new ones, or at least, more complete ones.

My computer (computers, actually--I've had three different ones since CotBP first came out) has been Jackified since the first movie. I've got the Jack-on-the-mast grand entrance as my wallpaper, and I use the 'Welcome to the Caribbean, luv' as my login sound (it's just too perfect :D). I use the 'Son, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow' as my log off. I've never felt any need to change any of these settings in the last 4 years....sad, I know.

Has anyone found any sites that have DMC sound clips?

Here you go, DMC sound clips.

If you go back a page there are sound clips to bunches of movies, including CotBP.

I found these a while back, even before the DMC clips were out, and put them on my computer. The DMC clips didn't come out until a while after the DVD was released, which makes sense.

They do sometimes get to you. If I know I'm going through a lot of menus, I turn the sound off, because I can only listen to Jack say "Well go on, go get them!" so many times before it gets old. My maximize clip of "Hello Beastie" and minimize clip of "Send his beloved Pearl back to the depths," can get old too. But I still keep them on there, because I love it.

My favorite is when I empty the recycle bin and it says, "Did we kill it? No, we just made it angry."

OOoooh! Thanks, Monkey! However....maybe it's just my puter being weird, but it won't let me right-click and save the files. It wants to save it as an .htm file. Maybe I need to clear cache or something...I'll mess around and see if I can figure it out.

Ah, that's a nice and comprehensive site.

Yeah, I'm afraid I have turned off the sounds... They're great, but can get annoying.

Not that I have much to add, since that site covers basically the whole movie, it seems like, but I can record and email anyone sound clips. (Just wav, though; no mp3. So they're big.) Anything on DVD (such as bloopers); anything from, say, the AWE trailer... Just let me know.

OK, I've cleared cache and rebooted, yet I still can't seem to save anything out! It was working fine last night. No matter what clip I try to save, it wants to save it as 'sounds.htm'. Any ideas?

What are you right clicking? If you click on the link to the clip you want (either mp3 or wav), it will take you to a page with the name of the movie at the top, followed by a link to the file. (e.g. Pirates_Of_The_Caribbean_Dead_Mans_Chest: accordingtoplan.wav ). Just left click on the file and, if you're using Windows, it will pop up a little window asking if you want to open, save or cancel. Just click "save" and it should begin to download.

Hope that helps. :)

Oh geez...I'm an idiot. :P I was trying to save from the main page. I had gone to the next page, where the clip actually plays, but somehow missed the GIANT filename there.

Thanks, Monkey!
