Purgatory is that place between Heaven and Hell that you go when you're in Limbo.

Here's the dictionary definition: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/purgatory

And, since it's mostly a Catholic thing, here's the Catholic Encyclopedia's article about it: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/12575a.htm

Many horror movies, such as The Haunting, have stories whose plots are based on souls being stuck in purgatory.

That's like in Matrix Revolutions, wait... I was just saying yesterday that the ending of DMC reminded me of the ending of Reloaded... ship destroyed... Neo going out so everyone could get away safely... not knowing for ages how he'd return... and now trapped between the two worlds in limbo... argh! this cannot be happening! :o

This makes my Jack reminded me more of Keanu Reeves than Jack at moments even freakier, plus there was that slow motion bullet bit... nooooo, Jack's becoming Keanu!

Yeah but with the similarities between the two series now POTC: Revolutions... I mean 3 will probably end up with Jack and Davy fist fighting in the rain.

Davy: Mr. Sparrow, we missed ye!

Gawd, I can just see it now.

Jack decided even after freeing himself that there was no use running from the kraken -- it would have to be between him and the kraken (or Davey Jones) sooner or later.

What was so sad is that while Liz tricked Jack to shackle him, she really regretted it. She fet so pleased that Jack actually returned to help the crew. I'm just surprised WIll didn't react stronger to Jack's being kissed by her, but maybe she let him in on the plan.
Or maybe WIill just doesn't ever show strong emotions!

Well, if she felt so bad about it, she shouldn't have done it!
OK, I'm sorry, but I'm very anti-Liz at the moment. Not just because this, but because of everything; she uses people far worse than (say) Jack does, while she needs to use them a lot less. But everybody still loves her and wants to 'marry' her and whatever. Deep shame for her actions is the very least she should suffer.
I do understand why she did it, but I think that, after Jack actually came back, for no other reason (we may presume) than his being a good man, he shouldn't have had to pay for that good deed with his life. And it seems it's not the first time he got punished for doing the right thing - no wonder he's a pirate.

Good point. I think he doesn't want to talk about it. As long as he doesn't, he can try to pretend it wasn't real, or that it was meaningless. He knows she dumped Norrington for him, and he has no way of knowing for sure that she'd do the same to him and move on to Jack. Except that he's dead now , so he doesn't have to consider the matter.
Until he brings up getting Jack back. And why does he? To keep Liz happy? You'd think so, but it didn't really feel that way to me. Was it a test? Perhaps, but he seems to want to go through with it. I suppose he just wanted Jack back to know for sure that Liz isn't just choosing him because Jack's no longer an option. (Which is stupid, because if she wanted Jack, she could have had him before; but then, Binky's not always the brightest of lightbulbs.)

My friend thought that Will was offering to get Jack back because Elizabeth was so upset about it and he thought that would make her happy. Pretty much, even if Elizabeth loved someone else, he would find that someone else because all he wanted to do was make her happy because he loved her so much. His little "If there was anything could be done" line does sound as though he's trying to make her feel better, but I agree with Dutch. Something is not quite right with this, and perhaps Will has ulterior motives in trying to find Jack.

I also don't think that Elizabeth let Will in on her plan. She can't really tell anyone what she did, because they would all probably hate her for it (like many people on Parley do!!), so that makes it even harder to bear. She's all alone with this burden. But perhaps that is good punishment for taking away our Jack... :P

I don't think she told him, but I think he figured it out. After all, hes the one who told Jack he wasn't a simpleton... :)
