Well with the first film I had trouble understanding what he was saying when setting up Barbossa and Norrington which confused me loads, didn't get that scene until I'd managed to read what he was saying on here somewhere, and this one... well maybe someone has the script or something and can help me out on this but when Jack, Will and Norrington are on the water wheel I couldn't understand what Jack was saying when he put the others against each other and escaped, so yeah, if anyone can help me with that I might know what's happening when I watch it again.

Ha I know that feeling but thank the heavens for the junior novelization of the movie cause it cleared that line(and others lol) up for me. At that moment he said:
"Who was the man who, at the moment you had a notorious pirate safely behind bars and a beautiful dolly belle bound for the bridal, saw fit to free said pirate and take your dearly beloved for himself?"

No wonder Norrington got mad there lol

Teehee, thank you, that really does clear that up, I wondered what Jack said to get Norrington so mad at Will, now I know.

oh no problem with me i listen to those lines and i know what he is basically saying but yet i still get confused and have a  look on my face. It's one of those moments where it can be confusing but also real fun to watch.

It's just with the heavy accent and the fact that when he's trying to explain something he always seems to speak faster, the two things, the voice and the speed mix together to create some buzzing sound which unless I know what he's saying I can't understand.

Maybe he's trying to confuse the characters, but he should really try not to confuse the audience as well.

I think in the movie, they cut the part about 'beautiful dolly belle bound for the bridal'. Jack just says 'at the moment you had a notorious pirate safely behind bars, saw fit to free said pirate...'

I do think that dolly belle comment turned up earlier though, when Will first confronts Jack on board the Pearl. Jack says something about 'your old dolly belle what's her face'.

Oh, but that line is good, why cut it short? I'll have to see when I go again but if it was cut then it won't make as much sense as to why he got mad.

I like when Jack says "Or are you really a rumpot deckhand what takes orders from pirates." I love the look on Norries Face, and that is that line after which Jack makes his Exit. :D

Yes, I love that....but did you notice that Jack basically lands on his rump, not his feet? I love those little things...like Jack is amazing and all, but still totally human.

Aye, I did notice that... and the look on his face... Okay.. I have to do it...

Has anyone noticed the refrences he makes in this series of movies to Benny&Joon?

Deleted scene from POTC 'Pity about raisens, humiliated grapes really.'

And in this one, if you look at the look on his face, it is IDENTICAL to the one Sam made when messing around in the park, the first time he flipped himself over and landed on his bum. Oh my, how I love the refrences. :D

Aye. :) And strangely enough, I always think that when we see Jack rowing the coffin to the Pearl, where he's in silhouette, his hat looks just like Sam's!! I doubt they planned that, but it cracks me up every time.
