I was playing around on the official PotC2:DMC site from Disney this afternoon, and in the little exploration game thingie, you can click on characters in various scenes to hear quotes.

There are a few quotes (one from Chief Jack on the cannibal island, about the scarcity of children in the tribe, and another one I'm forgetting) that were apparently in the original script but cut for the final film. I say this because I read the young adult novelization of DMC and those lines were in there. (While the more innuendo-filled lines that were in the final cut weren't in the book adaptation. Heh.)

But when you're at the East India Company's dock and you click on Will, you get this quote:
"The woman need not cause you to be desperate, if you choose the right woman."

Now that wasn't in the movie, and it wasn't in the junior novelization. Is it from the third film, maybe? Will talking to Davy Jones, perhaps? Or some other random bit that was cut from the second film?

Just an interesting bit of dialogue, anyway.

I serched the JN and I couldn't find it either. If Will did say it who do you think he would have said it too? I think Jack or DJ. Maybe his father?

Aye, I was at that site the other day as well.. and I noticed all those random quotes I hadn't heard before. But me not liking Will.. I really didn't care. But I did like the one Jack said... about there being alot of women.. but not many children.. or maybe the other way around.. I don't remember.. haha

:D

"I notice women here, but very few children.....why is that? Are the little ones most tasty?"

That's what the JN says. I would wonder that too. Maybe they were at another part of the island?

I think it was cut from the Liar's dice scene with Davey Jones. I remember a preview where Will says something like "She's my faith/fate" and it's the same set (but it's possible I misheard the quote) Maybe he and Davey have a conversation about how the heart ended up in the chest and Will gave him this advice?

I just loved that line! Pity it's not in the movie...

I wnet searching through the offcial site just to find that line. It's actually really good, I wish it had been left in the film. I agree, Will would probably say it to Jack or Davy during the Liar's Dice game.

Oh ok! You see: with English not being my mother tongue, I happen to mishear things sometimes (I need to replay some fragments from time to time to finally get what they're saying) This is one of them

Sorry for the double post but I was overthinking it again last night, and realised it can also be a line from the scene with Tia Dalma where she asks what vexes all men.

Bruckheimer also said that the disc would feature a bounty of behind-the-scenes footage.

See the last article. Maybe Dj wanted Lizzy or they talked about Will's love and this is when Will said the line.
