OK, so I've read all the Alex Rider books and I love them to death. I went and met Anthony Horowitz last week and he's a lovely guy. But the Stormbreaker movie....

It opens here in a few weeks, and I'm looking for opinions. Is it worth it? Is Alex Pettyfer any good as Alex Rider? Should I wait for the DVD?

Seeing as I'm a huge fan of the books, I don't want to go and see the movie, find out it's terrible and have the books spoiled forever. So- anyone in Britain already seen it? Any advice?

I saw it last week with my friend. He is the best....and worst....person to see a movie with. Thanks to him, King Kong was one of the funniest films I've ever seen.
Anyway...Stormbreaker...it was enjoyable. I quite liked it. I was actually surprised at how many celebrities were in it. Ewan McGregor was very good for all of his 5 minutes of screen time. And it helps that Alex is quite good looking... :innocent:
My advice? Rent it first.

No, it's just out in Britain first. makes sense considering it's a British film. Australia is getting it September 21, while America gets it October or Novermber, I think.
