You do, book two for sure, books one three and four all made it into the film, book two is a prequel to the Dwight story, it's good stuff and the film would make more sense after it.

Also need to see the Sin City movie. Why don't they make The Dark Knight Returns into a movie? Erg, instead they have stupid Heath Ledger as the Joker. The man couldn't even slightly hope to be a quarter as good as Nicholson. |

Not even seen the movie? it's as close to a perfect adaptation as you'll ever get, just about everything gets turned into movies now, but Sin City's as close as they get to the source material. I don't know why, maybe it's having an old Batman, plus it'd be a bit too dark for kids and although it would make an awesome film you just know the studio would want to make it more family friendly and have a younger Batman. |

Only remaking it after only almost 20 after the original Batman... Pfft. And Steven, you and I both now that the movie that's "as close to a perfect adaptation as you'll ever get" is easily The Godfather. |

Well, if you're counting any movie, I think Independence Day is probably the closest adaptation I've ever seen from source material to final movie. There were a few little differences from the book, but I was shocked at how similar the two were.

I have to just say again, Sin City is king of adaptations, each shot is a pretty accurate version of the panel it's based on, there's a few missing bits and one slight change to scene, but apart from that you can't get closer. Comparisons Seriously, how can you get closer than that?

Well, back to manga... I loooove Godchild, Rurouni Kenshin, Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden, Ouran High School Host Club, FLCL, and Legal Drug. Doesn't get much more varied than that, does it? |

So, um, on topic, right... I've never read any of those things.

I'd read more Manga, but the books are in so many volumes and they cost too much to be buying ten or more just to get the whole story, I'd like to read the Battle Royale one, even though I've seen the movie loads. |

I think Independance Day came out the same time as the film, I got this thing years ago with the novel and the making of books packaged together, I have a few of those making of books, I still got my Jurassic Park one, but I never read the ID4 novel, started but lost interest as by then I'd already seen the film, best novelisation is Star Trek Generations, because it has all the stuff what was cut out of the film in it, I read novelisations of First Contact, Broken Arrow as I needed a Woo fix at the time, Fifth Element which apart from Zorg surviving was the same, and X-Files the movie, because... I just had to, because at the time seeing it on the big screen wasn't enough.

I think I might have that book, I have two novels as well as the movie novelisation, that's three then, I got loads of X-Files books really, making of the movie, at least two episode guide books, and a load of comics and magazines, yes, I was obsessed back in the day, I even have a binder with the card collection in, series one, two and three, only missing two cards, both in series three on the last page, that's a pain for sure.
I have figures, videos, DVDs and a mug too, yes, very obsessed, not so much now, but I was. |

I looked last night and I don't have Skin, I have Goblins and Ruins, I don't think I got too far reading either of them really.
As for arms and legs, I don't think I can do much with them, they'd rot and make the most terrible smell and mess over time, I do need to get rid of some stuff eventually though, maybe some of my Star Wars stuff can go first.
