Lor- how do you save those threads?

I wish I was an IMDBer a long time ago when it was better...but I was like...8 or something...

So...you're like...10 or something?

Anyway, to save a thread on IMDb you do this:

In Firefox
1) "Click File>Save Page As..."
2) In the top portion, figure out where you want to save the file
3) In the "Save as type" box at the bottom, choose "Web page, HTML only" (very important!)
4) Click the "Save" button

In Internet Explorer
1) "Click File>Save As..."
2) In the top portion, figure out where you want to save the file
3) In the "Save as type" box in the middle of the bottom, choose "Web page, HTML only (*.htm,*.html)" (very important!)
4) Click the "Save" button

You need to save the pages as HTML only. If you try to save the complete page, the browser will try to save the ads and everything, and sometimes the ads don't save properly and you end up with no saved thread. Now, yes, this means that you don't get a local copy of the smilies, but all you have to do is go to the markup page at IMDb and you'll have them all in your cache and can see every single one in a saved thread. (www.imdb.com/help/boards/markup)

 :palm:
