As cool as that sounds, I'd be like "Well I've seen it a billion times before", billion being an exaggeration, I don't even think I've seen it ten times and even the biggest of fangirls can only have reached about fifty unless they're really obsessed, then they need help, maybe some films are better on a bigger screen, but I'm sure the thought of "I've seen this before, I could be doing something new" will show up, I never saw COTBP on the big screen either, but I'd still rather learn something than see it again only on a bigger screen, that's just my opinion anyway and I'm boring so maybe you'd think differently.

Well, now knowing that Tru has never seen POTC on the big screen, I will say that I sympathize (having never seen it on the big screen either) and that I still think Tru should go to class. She did pay for it. I assume that the date in question has already passed. So Tru? Did you go to class or the movie?

[size=4]Oh, boy...this is one thread I wish I never started, 'cause now I have to tell everyone what I did...and it's rather embarassing.

Well, let me just tell you what goes on...Mon-Wed I'm in class or work from nine until, well, now. five. I don't get home until around five-thirty and then have my homework to do....I know I know! Everyone does! I'm just saying this is what I have to do. On Thursday, I have either class or work from nine to 2 and then I tutor from 2-3 and am tutored from 3-4, so I don't get home until about 4:30 and then I have to be back at school at 6. Well, that's just not very much time and, well, I was tired, so I laid down...and fell asleep and didn't wake up until seven, missing the first hour of class. I feel so embarassed!!! I got over to class and they had wondered where I was, but someone had told them that they were showing Pirates over at the Student Center ('cause it rained) and they all thought I was over there! Can you believe that?! Anyway, I came in and told them what had happened and everything was OK. (Except I felt really stupid coming in so late!)

So, to answer your question, Light, no, I didn't go to the movie, I went to most of the class.

I will NEVER lay down before class again!

Teehee, we've all done something like that at some point so it's not embarrassing at all, but at least you made it to class, even if you did miss a bit of it, and you can laugh at it too, which is always good. :D

Aw, it's okay, Tru. The one class in all of college I was late for was because I fell asleep on a bench on campus before class started and woke up about half an hour into the class. It was my very last quarter of school, too. *sigh* So close to a perfect record. I was dead tired, though. I completely understand your need for sleep. It happens to us all at sometime.

Oh, and I think you made the right choice, class over the movie. I'm proud of you.

At least you didn't fall asleep IN the class, right? becasue I've done that, and that's embarrasing. However, I'd been up til 2 am for three nights bfore hand because of the school musical I was in, and had to do it another two nights to come, and i was an ickle 12 year old.

Anyway, I think it's good you went to the class, even if you missed the start of it.

Elven, I went through all of high school math asleep, and I can tell you it's so not embarassing.

I started in grade 8, sleeping through the whole afternoon. Since in high school I had to go to each class, I slept through math. I passed, I'll have you know.

By theend of grade 10 people just expected me to be asleep during math. If I wasn't, they'd get angry...

Truuuuuu.... People really expected you to go to see POTC instead of going to class.

Wow.

I didn't fall asleep in class ever until college, but then it was, like, every single class. I just couldn't stay awake! Ah, well. I still got As, so the teachers couldn't have been too upset.

So, Tru... how'd your hair look when you got to class? Yeah, I know when I wake up my hair's always all messed up.

Falling asleep in classes is easy, falling asleep but making it look like you're awake, that's the key to making it work. :D

Although I only think I did that in religious studies, they hated me anyway, I disproved everything so they stuck me in the lowest class because I was a danger to their beliefs, I don't remember much about school but I remember that.

Well it's nigh on unbelievable to think of my beloved Tru Love playing truant from college!

Reading this thread I was thinking "If this was me I'd be sure to end up missing both somehow..." so it made me smile to see that you almost did just that! Glad to hear you made most of your class though. On more than one occassion I've had a big choice between going out to a party or doing work and I've ended up just falling asleep instead. Nice to know I've got a snoozing soul mate out there! :D

*Hugs Tru Love*

Lol, this is a good convo.

Don't worry, Tru, you made the right choice. Sleep is good. Education is good. PotC is good. Wait...where am I going with this?!

If ever I have enough money to build my own private theatre (a life-long dream *sigh*) I will fly you over to have you watch it big screen style! Now...if only I can find a great job...
