I've seen a few Drawn Togethers which end with everyone being shot dead or something, but the last episode joked about how stupid the endings are so at least the makers are honest.

Ooh, was that the one where Spanky was visiting the critic who disliked the show and then he flew away on... some random animal that showed up (can't remember what it was right now). That was funny. Although, it was rather Spanky-centric, and he and Waldorf are probably my least two favorite characters, so not so good in that respect. *shrug*

Aww, Hank wouldn't hate you, no one could hate you, maybe he'd try to convert you to propane for a while and then just give up and enjoy the food, seems more of a Hank thing to do.

I would hope Hank wouldn't hate me, although he hates LA and thinks of the people from there as pencil necks, and I lived there for four years. :( I just hope he'd be able to look past all of that! *crosses fingers* Hehe, made it pretty sweet when those people from Montana were calling him "Hollywood," though, knowing how much it ticked him off.

My Steven

You get teased? oh, that can be awful when that happens, even worse when it's parents as they never give up, but at least it's just a first initial, there's worse things to teased over, I've had problems with a variation on initials, I have a funny story about that as well, although I wouldn't post it here since I don't want to tell everyone and it involves more name information than I usually give, maybe some other time in a more private setting if I can face the embarassment.

It's okay, I understand, don't give more information than you're comfortable with, definitely. I mean, I've never even posted my first name on here.

My Steven

That's good as I want you to be safe, but if you did get hurt I'd help you get better again, I have to do my best to make sure my Tomby is well. Oh, I can't remember seeing Joxer die, maybe I didn't see it or I did and I just don't remember with so much of memory for a certain time period being non-existant, he did well to survive as long as he did though, he was lucky, for a guy with no real fighting skills to have survived so many fights then that's a whole lot of luck for someone to have.

Aw, with my Steven nursing me back to health I know I'd get better in no time! Nothing could heal me faster than wanting to get well for my Steven. Poor Joxer, he died in season 5... in the episode "Eve," I believe... yeah, I'm pretty sure it was that one. Anyway, it was after Xena and Gabrielle had been frozen for 25 years, so Joxer was an old man at the time. He really did live longer than someone with his fighting skills could ever hope for.

My Steven

The show's been going a long time, 16 or more years, I haven't been watching it for that long, I saw some on tape in the early 90's but it must have been around 96 that I started getting to see it properly, but if they're doing big screen style animation then I'd imagine they'd try to put more effort into the script, even if nothing so far has suggested that, but I remember a while back seeing about how after a film the show will end so I wonder if that's going to stay, it'd be sad to see it end, even if it isn't as funny now.

Hm, I don't really remember the first time I saw The Simpsons. It's one of those things that feels like it's always been there, even though I must have been old enough when I first saw it that I should remember it... but I don't. I hope they put a lot of effort into the script... seems weird to pay $8 for something you see for free on TV every week unless it's really good. If the show does end as a result that'll be sad, although I think they have a contract to keep doing the show for a while, so we'll probably have a couple more years even if people do stop watching.

That's the one I saw, most of the time when it comes on it'll be one of the same five episodes so it's nice to see one I haven't seen already, but I like Spanky in it, a few characters seem to get lost in the background, I can't even remember their names, the Princess and the Pikachu thing, and Waldorf as well, so any which stand out I like better, because the others haven't been given as much chance to be liked, or at least not in the five episodes which come on the most.

He seems pretty mean really, from what I remembered he wasn't mean, but then I can't remember so much about the show apart from propane and propane accessories, maybe that's why, someone needs to take Hank to school and teach him so manners, big meanie Hank being mean like that.

Teehee, I give out my first name because I thought versions of my user name made me sound robotic, but most people I talk to know my full name anyway, I sent out some e-mails one time and found out it got sent that way, then did it again without thinking, I don't really care so much about it now, it's not like it matters so much. :wild1:

I'd make sure you got better, I'd do everything possible to help my Tomby, I'd be giving you all the things you needed to make the best recovery possible, as well as lots and lots of healing hugs. Xena and Gabrielle were frozen? well I guess Joxer's time would be a bit closer to ending if they wake up after all that time and the show carries on as normal, lots of people could have already been killed during that time, which may be why they did it, just to write out people quickly and easily, ah well, at least Joxer got a good send off and wasn't disposed of during the time they were asleep.

It has been on for so long, must have started in the 80's I guess, so it's easy to forget when the first time you saw it, apart from me anyway since I didn't get to see it for so long, although that didn't stop me having a Bart t-shirt when I was little, weird since I couldn't see it. Some TV shows turn to movies pretty well so paying to see them isn't so bad, I remember when I went to see X-Files, and South Park, I saw that one twice on the big screen, funny I remember movies but so little else from back then, maybe it's just with it being Summer times, no head injuries to make remembering stuff harder, but I'm hoping Simpsons the movie will turn out ok, that way it won't put anyone off turning more shows to movies, there's still talk about a 24 movie, that just has to happen! :D

I know what you mean, when I was a kid I saw the same episode of Augh Real Monsters three times before I ever caught a different episode. Stupid TV. <_< Ooh, I love Ling Ling (the Pikachu one)!!! I thought I wouldn't like him because I've always been rather anti-Pokemon, but he grew on me, and now he might be my favorite. I love how he's this great warrior but he's just this tiny little thing. He's so cute. I loved when he was entering cock fights and killing all the roosters.

He's not mean, really, he just doesn't like dealing with idiots. I can understand why all you remember about it is propane and propane accessories, though. A lot of the show is about that. I loved it when they showed Hank as a kid and he said his dream was to one day sell propane and propane accessories, if his grades were high enough.

Hehe, my username makes me sound all dark and macabre. Every once in a while it strikes me how strange it is to have people call me "Tomb." I just try to figure it's just a name, like any other, and need not mean anything. Like my real life name; it's origins meant something, but now no normal person knows what that was (well, I know because I looked it up, but that's just because it's my name... well, you know). Aw, that e-mail thing stinks. Tee hee, the name on my e-mail address is Sukhjiven Singh, no worries about people finding my real name there.

Well, Lucy Lawless got pregnant in real life, so they had to write it into the show, but then they didn't want Xena to have to lug this baby around forever, so they froze Xena and Gabby for 25 years so that the baby grew up. It did mean that Autolycus wasn't in any more episodes after that. Dang 25 years. <_< But I was glad that they didn't never mention Joxer again. That'd be really sad if we never knew what happened to him.

Hm, that'd be interesting, if they kept the real time format then they'd have to have a crisis that could be solved in about 2 hours rather than 24, might allow it to be more tense, although that show's already pretty tense so who knows if that'd really happen.

Some shows just get repeated loads when there's not a lot of episodes, it is a pain when watching it and it's the same one all the time though, I remember when Eerie Indiana used to come on and I saw the same episode with the shop hypnotising people to go there, I saw that so many times and wasn't seeing so much of the other ones, no wonder I still get that song in it stuck in my head sometimes. I haven't seen Ling Ling in too many episodes, I've seen two where he was in it more than just a quick appearance before not being mentioned again, just two, don't they like writing him into the show? it wouldn't be so hard really. :(

No one really likes dealing with idiots, unless it's their job to deal with them, but then they're being paid to so they would like it. :wild1: I remember Bobby and thinking he was a bit weird, and Boomhauer, I could never understand him but he was funny anyway, I don't know about the rest, I'm not remembering them too well. I guess Hank never really had a good dream, at least he's living it, that's got to be something, even if it is selling propane and propane accessories.

It does a little bit, but we all know you're not dark and macabre, so it's ok. :D I used to get that, for people to call me by a user name and it feel a bit weird, there's not a lot to do about that, but I hope my calling you Tomby doesn't make you feel strange, I find it to be quite nice and cute sounding, which is fitting for you. Names can lose meaning, they just sound good so they stick, but it is good to know what they mean by looking it up, I don't think too many people bother checking when choosing names now. It doesn't matter about my name, I was bothered, but once it happened I didn't really care so much, if I did I'd have remembered to change the name so it never gets sent out.

Ah, that makes sense, Xena having to fight with a baby, attached to her I mean, or leave the baby on the ground while they crawl off during the battle would get a little boring after a while, plus it's dangerous for them, but no more Bruce Campbell? oh no! that's so sad! At least Joxer had a send off, he was in it much more than Bruce was so he deserved one.

Tomby

Last I saw is they're going to wait until the show ends and make a film a few years afterwards, and since it's possibly going to last until season 8 then that's a while away yet, at least Jack's going to survive all that way then, although how are they going to make two more days after the coming one? that looks pretty crazy from what I've seen and there's only so many threats which can happen.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I only ever saw two episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark, but I saw both of those, like, two or three times. I still think of the one where these kids were kidnapped by aliens to be in this intergalactic zoo fairly often. I always found the idea cool, for some reason. They should write Ling Ling in Drawn Together more often, that guy rocks. Plus, he's so cute. I just want to use him as a teddy bear.

Hehe, yeah, Bobby can be a bit weird. He's a good kid, though. Kind of sad cuz Hank often says about Bobby, "That boy ain't right." :( Poor kid. Or like when he said, "If you weren't my son I'd hug you." What kind of messed up parenting is that? Hehe, Boomhauer rocks! They don't focus on him too much, though. I can only think of two episodes, really, that were about him. I don't even know his first name or what he does for a living. Still, he's cool, with the way he talks and all. :D

Aw, I like it when you call me Tomby. Makes me feel all huggy  , which is just how my Steven makes me feel! Nobody else I'd want to be all huggy for. No, I don't think if I were naming somebody I'd really care about what the name used to mean, as long as it sounds nice now. Course, if I found out the name used to mean "dung heap" or something I probably wouldn't choose it, nomatter how pretty it sounds now.

I haven't been reading anything about the upcoming season, I'm just going to watch it as it happens, so I don't know what's going to happen, but they can always come up with more people who hate the United States and can get their hands on a bomb... and for some reason always are based in LA... not New York, the biggest city... not Washington D.C., the capital... always LA, right where Jack Bauer is so he can stop them.

I never saw so much of that show, I saw a few shows like it, I remember one called Round the Twist and I always remember one episode where the family were being attacked by seagulls with insane amounts of poop, it was on so many times and it was gross, they got covered in it. Most characters seem to have been given backstories as well, and I don't know so much about Ling Ling, they should give him a whole episode to show where he came from, it could be fun anyway.

I make you feel huggy? that's a nice way to feel so I'm glad I can make my Tomby feel like that, and also lucky since you're so huggable anyway which just means my hugs are more wanted. I don't think I'd be too bothered either, I'd just to try to find a nice name which is easy to live with, I don't get to name anything though, not even animals, my niece named the rabbit when there was one, and the fish, but that's a stupid thing.

I've watched some of the previews for it online, I always like to know what the rough story is so I'll spoil the first episode or two and then go spoilers-free for the rest of it, even though someone always manages to ruin the ending for me, looks like it's going to be a pretty insane day for Jack anyway, it's crazy, and by the looks of things there's going to be scenes outside of LA, I know, it's shocking, but the White House was shown so I guess there's a little more variation in locations for once, about time too.

 Oh, that sounds more funny than scary, like if Mel Brooks wanted to make a parody of The Birds he'd make a movie where the birds attacked with poop. But, it was a Nickelodeon show, and they were obsessed with gross stuff. When I was a kid it was all about the slime. :D It would be neat to see a bit more of where Ling Ling is from. They have had his father on there. That was pretty cool. He's kind of like Ling Ling, only he speaks English. Well, also he's an old warrior kind of guy, so he seems tired and injured. And he's not cute. :( I always think Ling Ling is so cute, like a teddy bear. Unfortunately, his father is not.

My Steven

I think Hank's mostly upset with Bobby because Bobby wants to be a comedian, and Hank doesn't perceive that to be a good career. Hank doesn't like it when people showboat or feel the need to draw attention to themselves, so his personality and Bobby's are just bound to clash. Hehe, Hank's dad (Cotton) is awesome. I mean, in real life I'd want to stay as far away from that man as possible, but he's great to watch. Poor guy lost his shins in WWII; that's why he's so short. It is amazing that Hank turned out even semi-normal with Cotton for a father. And Hank's so straight laced and uptight. Amazing considering Cotton took Hank to a whore house when Hank was in high school. I think I'm weird, I can understand Boomhauer. I like him, too... although we really don't know much about him. :( He's like Ling Ling.

My Steven

I don't get to name anything though, not even animals, my niece named the rabbit when there was one, and the fish, but that's a stupid thing.

Aw, it's okay, it's the same over here. My mom always names everything over here. She even started calling my car Betsy. :( THAT'S NOT MY CAR'S NAME!!!

That's cool. :) I mean, the LA thing is neat, especially when they mention roads that I know where they are and that I've been on, but at the same time it feels a little weird that all these crises are always centered around LA. Plus, I get enough of that, "I've been there!" thing from Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (I've spent way too much time on that strip  ).

I think it was more funny than anything, apart from the grossness of it all, people and everything else was covered in thick white bird poop by the end of it, maybe that's why seagulls freak me out so much now, people trying to hide while birds crap all over everything is the kind of thing which is going to scar a person for a life. Ling Ling's father? I'm not sure if I saw him already, I remember one in a kind of smart suit and hat for some reason but already I'm struggling to think, too many of the same episodes have made it hard to remember the ones I saw only once. His father speaks English? that is a bit weird, if he could speak that then why teach his son to speak Japanese? I'm already confused.

That's a bit crazy from Hank, what's so bad about wanting to make other people laugh? it's a good thing, Hank is a bit quiet and restrained I guess, maybe that's why, he wouldn't like it when people aren't like that. Ooh, I remember him saying about his shins, Cotton Hill though? what an unfortunate name, but I don't think I'd like to be around him either, he's kind of loud if I remember rightly, and being a little abusive to the ladies as well, not the kind of person to want to know, but he took Hank to a whore house? maybe Hank blanked that from his memory or something, he'd still feel dirty about it if he didn't. You understand Boomhauer? that can only be a good thing, means you shouldn't have much trouble with different accents, plus he's probably saying something really smart or funny so that's extra jokes to have.

Aw, it's okay, it's the same over here. My mom always names everything over here. She even started calling my car Betsy. :( THAT'S NOT MY CAR'S NAME!!!

You had your car named? aww, you should get to name your own car, it's you who's driving it and you should drive one with a cool name, like... I don't know, I don't come up with cool names, but you should get to be able to do that! Betsy though? that's what my rabbit was called, well, its second name, it was called Rocky at first but then we found out it was a girl rabbit so my niece renamed it, maybe that's why it ran away, that's enough to cause sexual confusion, although the fish didn't mind, my niece called it Stone Cold before changing her mind and calling it Nemo.

That's cool. :) I mean, the LA thing is neat, especially when they mention roads that I know where they are and that I've been on, but at the same time it feels a little weird that all these crises are always centered around LA. Plus, I get enough of that, "I've been there!" thing from Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (I've spent way too much time on that strip

It does seem weird, it's almost like there's some kind of mystical pull around LA drawing all the terrorists towards it, there's a whole country to terrorise so maybe for a while the people of LA will feel a little less picked on if they go try blow some other people up as well, another weird thing, I'd imagine LA is a big place yet Jack is always 10 to 20 minutes away from everything and never has problems with traffic, I know it'd be boring if he got stuck in a jam for half an hour and sat beeping his horn shouting "dammit" but he never has any traffic problems, always easy travelling for him, maybe he has some kind of rocket launcher in his car to blow any vehicles out of the way.

Hm, Idon't know who was in a suit and hat, but Ling Ling's father doesn't wear any clothes, just like Ling Ling, although he does have a cane he carries around. I liked him, he fell in love with Toot and they got married, lol. I have no idea why Ling Ling only speaks Japanese when his father speaks English. Maybe he was raised by his mother.

Hehe, Hank's just not one for showing happiness. When he scored a touchdown once he did this huge touchdown dance (he even walked like an Egyptian! ), and then on the next play he snapped his ankle, and he thought God was punishing him for acting happy. Poor guy. Hehe, Cotton Hill is a weird name. I guess after watching the show so much I don't think about it much any more, but it is funny. Yeah, Cotton's very bad around women, expects them to drop everything and serve him. I really would not want to be around that guy in real life, but he's fun to watch. I loved when he wanted to go to Cuba to kill Fidel Castro, and Hank stopped him, and Cotton was all sad and said, "I just wanted to kill Castro," like it was such a small thing.

Aw, poor rabbit. That's like when our neighbors' cat was named Henry, but then my mom told them it was a girl, so they started calling it Henrietta. I guess I named another neighbor's dog once. I was seeing the dog for the first time, and it already had some name, I can't remember what, but anyway it was a white dog with black spots, and on it's side there were these three huge black spots that were just right to form a Mickey Mouse head on the side of the dog. Anyway, I was telling them how it reminded me of Mickey Moo, the cow with the Mickey on the side, and they should call the dog Mickey, and from that point on the dog's name was Mickey! It was a girl, though... poor thing, it was probably gender confused, too.

It is a bit unrealistic how easy it is for Jack to get everywhere. Like, from my dorm to the beach took about 20 minutes, and those were actually pretty close to each other, at least compared to how big LA is. I could even see the ocean from my dorm room my last year there. so that's pretty close. But, that 20 minutes was driving down Wilshire, which is a really busy road. Maybe Jack takes side roads or something, cuz he really does get to places faster than any driver in LA I've ever seen.

Sorry to interrupt, but I'll be gone in a second...

I saw this on-line, and I thought that you pop culture specialists might enjoy it.

http://www.stationerymovies.com/

They're movie scenes recreated with office supplies. You have to figure out what movie they're from. I thought it was pretty fun! Anyway, yeah, enjoy!

I don't know! I got about the same as you. I figure our resident movie buffs could figure out most of them. Maybe they can let us know? ;)

Well, I got 10 of them. I'll put the ones I got in black text here so if anyone wants to try to figure them out themselves they won't accidentally see it.

*#3 is Edward Scissorhands. Pretty obious on that one, I think.

#6 is Jaws. Stapler is the shark, the thing in it's "mouth" is the air tank, and on the ship is Brody about to blow the shark up (although by that point in the movie the boat really should be sinking, but what ever  ).

#7 is The Wizard of Oz. That's the yellow brick road there.

#10 is Saturday Night Fever. That's a guy dancing on the disco floor.

#11 is The Birds. Those are a bunch of birds... not much more to say about that one.

#15 is Usual Suspects. That's the guys in the police lineup.

#16 is This Is Spinal Tap. In that movie the guy made a big deal about the dial going to 11 to make the music louder.

#17 is Titanic. That's the ship about to hit the iceberg. Poor little person on the front, looks so happy.

#19 is The Spy Who Loved Me. In that movie the bad guy had fake metal teeth.

#20 is Star Wars. Pretty obvious that's Darth Vader there.

I have to say that #18 is flipping me out. I can see the poster in my head, but I can't remember the name of the movie. Gah!

Same with me! It's gonna bug me until someone solves it.

Here are a couple more, if anyone is stuck:

*Edward Scissorhands is actually #3. #4 is E.T.

#13 is The Shining.
*

By the way, if you want to see if your guess is right, type it in the the box that says "Enter Film Title Here". If you're right, it will turn green. I guessed on a few and happened to be right!
