I watched DMC today and for the first time someone laughed at the: "My eyesight's as good as ever, just so you know!" line. I'd been waiting for someone else to laugh at that line since I heard it and learned what it meant, but no one ever had. Until today. It was awesome. Of course, since we were the only two people in the room who got it, the person with the remote paused the film and let me explain it. EVERYONE laughed after that.

Oh sure. Basically it's a wives' tale from back in the 1600s. The Puritans, in order to keep their boys from masturbating, told them that if they did so, they would get this huge black spot on their hand so everyone would know what they had done. Also, if they got the spot but kept doing it anyway, they would go blind.

So Jack basically announced he wasn't going blind... :rotfl: Way to go!

 Taryn, really? I didn't know the real meaning of that line lol, I thought he was just telling them that it was annoying they were going on about the black spot while he's standing right there, watching. thanks, that makes it so much funnier lol.

Wow, I never knew about the mickey head thing at all.. I've really got to get up with all these hidden things, I've seen it countless times and never noticed most of them before!

Anyone know where the micky is in DMC? I've been wondering about that.....

Oh, and what about the Dirty Sanchez Line? I never noticed that until my 11 or 12 viewing....

EDIT:

I just went through COTBP to find the ladder and hidden cowboy.. and I noticed something funny....

When the marines are shooting at Jack when he is swinging around on that thing... just after he saves, then threatens liz.... one of the marines is shooting with his eyes closed... HAHAHA...

Just wanted to share... :D

I've heard somewhere that the hidden Mickey is the triple guns that DJ uses to take down the Pearl; I've also heard that there is one on the map in Beckett's office...not too sure about that one.

I've never heard the Dirty Sanchez line! It must be on the VHS. I can see his lips move, but no sound.

I wanted to take a screen shot of this so I could show what I'm talking about, although I'm not on my computer at the moment so I can't now. (Hopefully when I get my computer back on Wednesday it'll be fixed and I can take a picture of it.)

When Gov. Swann is in Elizabeth's room and she's putting on the dress, behind him on the wall is a painting of a woman. I don't know who it is, but I always pretend it's Elizabeth's mother. I only really noticed the painting a few viewings ago, but now I like to pretend that that's what Mrs. Swann looked like. :)

It took me ages to notice that Elizabeth's wearing earrings when Jack's threatening here. I think I managed a good 20 times before I noticed that one!

I never really understood Jack's line "The Pearl was listing near to scuppers" before because I didn't know what scuppers were. Now I do, thanks to my trivial pursuit tear-off calendar. Apparently scuppers are openings at the side of a ship that allow water to run off the deck. Who knew? (okay, so some of you probably knew, but I didn't :P ).

I just watched CotBP today (I had a PotC marathon!), and here are a few more things I noticed. I keep thinking I forgot some, but here's what I remember anyway.

Well, my personal favorite is the marine that, after the cannon falls to the deck and makes a big hole, jumps into the hole. :D

Before that, when Norrington is examining Jack's sword, in the background you can see Elizabeth giving Jack this look that says, "What kind of a pirate are you?"

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but in the blacksmith shop, hanging on the back wall are some metal masks. It totally reminds me of The Man in the Iron Mask. Freaky!

That's all I remember. I swear there was something else I noticed! If I remember it, I'll add it.
