Tamora Pierce books; Anyone else love them?

Tamora Pierce has got to be my favorite author and my inspiration (I want to be a writer). I've read all of the Tortall books lots and lots and lots of times lol, and I love them to death, although sadly I haven't read Circle of Magic yet. But to me the Tortall books are some of the best books ever written... you totally become the characters, whether it be Alanna, Daine, Kel, or Aly... even all of the secondary ones, I know that Numair and Faithful were some definate faves of mine. But the most well written out of the four series I think is Aly's - Trickster's Queen in my favorite book, it just blew me away. Anyone else?

I read the Alanna books when I was younger (oh, what are they called... something about a lion maybe?), and I really enjoyed them. I like books involving knights and princesses and magic and such. They were good.

I love Tamora Pierce's books. I've read all of the Tortall books, except the new Beka Cooper book, and I've read the first three and a half of the Circle of Magic books. I love them all, but I think that my favorites are the Protector of the Small books with the Trickster books coming as a close second.

Theres a new Beka Cooper book? Hmm I had no idea.. better look into it..

I also loved Protector of the Small.. Kel was such a great character, and I liked how she contrasted with Alanna.. it made it a fun read  And I love Raoul so when she was his squire it was cool.

Yeah, as I understand it, the Beka Cooper books take place two hundred years before the Song of the Lioness books and center around Beka, who is a rookie on the Provost's Guard. It sounds really interesting and I can't wait until it either is released in paperback or I get some money so I can get a copy.

Kel is one of my favorite of Tamora Pierce's main characters and I think that she is at her best in Squire and Lady Knight. You can really see how far she's come as compared to where she was in the earlier books.

And Raoul; he's just great. I think it's hard not to like Raoul. He is one of my favorite recurring characters in the Tortal books.

Yes, I looked it up right after you said something about it, they do sound good! I asked for it for Christmas, because otherwise its the library for me, i can't buy it in hardcover lol. But I love books in the Tortall world, I cant wait until like.. 2 years from now.. when she finally writes that book about Numair's past.. lol i  numair.

 Kel is definately the best in the latest two books, I like Squire the best, and Lady Knight was really good with the whole robot-child-soul things and the big fight and all.. both so good.

I love it when Tamora Pierce integrates old characters in again, I think its so cool to recognize a character but this time from a different side, like when Kel and friends see Numair, you see Numair from Kel's point of view, rather than like, Daine's, who is realy close to him. Thats why I'm really excited for the Beka books now, because Faithful is in them! With a different name, but the same cat! He's there! :yay:
