Possibly the greatest game for anyone that ever wanted to be Jimi Hendrix but was too lazy to practice. With the recent release of Guitar Hero 2 I thought it was time to pay tribute to the great game. Sometimes it's hideously easy to play a song that you know to be virtually impossible on a real fretboard. Sometimes it's easier to pick up a telecaster and work out the riff than attempt to thrash it out on the big plastic buttons (yes Franz Ferdinand, I do mean you). There is always, however, a great feeling of satisfation the first time you get a five star rating on a song you've always wished you could play.

<_< I don'town Guitar Hero II yet, I still have the original.

It's fun, your right. I really want them to add some Depeche Mode or something next game...

The only problem with it is the controller gets on your nerves so quiuckly. I can only play it for an hour and then I get pissed and get all Nirvana on that guitar's ass...

My other half trod on one of our controllers yesterday and broke the whammy bar. The problem with GH2 is that in the co-operative and face off modes player 1 is automatically heard loudest and player 2 is pretty much just in the background. This setting can't be changed either.

Hey! I know this game! Even though I don't have it.....I tried it out at a Game Stop store once. I thought it was ok. Like, it was hard for me to get used to it though, I was like "wait! Ah! Which string do I hit?? No!" Anyway. I still thought it was fun.

I think the sound issue I've been having is just on my TV, no one else seems to have a problem. Bloo, as with all game controls it takes time to get used to. When I first played it I was booed off stage within about twenty seconds. Although some riffs really are easier to figure out on a real guitar (yes I still mean you Franz Ferdinand).
