My sister recently expressed an interest to find out what actors and actresses met on set and got married because it happens a lot. I think.
Since I'm not into finding out who gets married with who, (Or maybe it's "whom". I still have to learn proper English grammar.) this thread is born.

If you are into celeb marriages and know a lot about it, then this is the thread to show your knowledge. (And feed my sister's knowledge-hungry mind. :D)

If, however, you don't give an as-rats about it, like me, then don't post your lack of knowledge here. Or do. Or something. :D

For instance, I'll venture a guess and say that Michael Douglas and Zeta-Jones met while working in a movie. Maybe I'm wrong. :D

The one relationship that ticked me off was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. He left his wife for Jolie, right?
It's just plain wrong, in my opinion. Sure, I like Jolie more than Aniston. I think Angelina is a bit more beautiful...don't kill me, Friends-fans! :D But it's still no excuse.

OK, then. I'll run off like the weird person that I am..."AAAAAAAAAAWheeeeeeeaaaaaa..."

I wouldn't say I was obsessed but I do take an interest in celebrity couples and stuff like this (partly due to my annoying memory which seems to hold onto random celebrity related things and forget everything that might be useful).

I think Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas met at a party and not on set (although they were both in Traffic they didn't meet while working on it).
It's not clear but it does seem like he left Jennifer for Angelina. From my point of view (as a Jennifer Aniston fan) that was just wrong. Fair play if the relationship wasn't working but he could have at least waited a little while before starting with Angelina, it was sort of like he dumped Jennifer and got together with Angelina right away.

As for other couples that got together on set I did find this article (which is a little old now but meh) that mentions a few couples.

It happens all too much, but it's not really finding those who have gotten married that way, but how many have managed to stay married after a short period of time, that is the tricky one so I wonder if anyone can do that.

Thanks for the article, NB! My sister read it with me just now. (She also likes Sims, so by the way. :) )

And, you're right, Steven, finding a celeb couple that stays married for more than ten minutes is a rare find.

Well, while I'm waiting for the article to load, I will say that one couple I know met on set were Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe. But now they're getting divorced! I'm not really obsessed either, but I do follow celebrity news a bit, and for some reason that just depressed me a lot when I found out. As you guys have mentioned, most celebrity marriages don't last long, but that was one I expected to last forever. Reese Witherspoon just strikes me as that kind of person. So it was a sad day.

Okay, and now that the first page of the article has loaded, may I just say that Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell did not really meet on the set of The One and Only Genuine Original Family Band. Yes, they both happened to be in that movie, but they didn't really have characters that interacted, and they didn't get involved with each other until much later. Just wanted to clear that up for you. :D

I didn't read the article, so I don't know if this was mentioned in it, but here's one.

Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart met while filming To Have and Have Not. They're one of those iconic celebrity couples of old Hollywood. Plus, for a Hollywood couple they stayed together for a long time. I don't remember exactly how long at the moment, but it was years. I don't know how many people my age have heard the saying "like Bogie and Bacall," but their relationship was that famous at one point.

Course, I don't know how many people younger than 40 even really know who they are. They were in Key Largo together, and To Have and Have Not, and The Big Sleep... probably other stuff, too, but those are the movies of theirs that I've seen.

I dunno, Su, maybe you wanted more modern couples, but these two were really famous back in the day, so I just thought I'd mention them.
