Are you kidding me? Magneto picking up the Golden Gate Bridge is way better than anything that Superman did! No matter, though. Pirates is going to win, no matter who was nominated. |

Superman does have a chance though! So, Cold, million dollar question... Departed or Babel? |

I'm going with the Departed. Babel didn't really click with me. Plus, the Departed has Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon in it, so it kind of wins by default with me. It's finally going to be Scorsese's night! ![]() The only person that could possible keep him from winning is Clint Eastwood. Damn that Clint! Your going with The Departed too, right? |

I'm going with Scorsese for Best Director, but Babel for Best Picture. That's the way it happened at the Golden Globes, and history is bound to repeat itself. Babel wasn't too good, I've heard. |

That's disappointing, no best director for Children of Men, but Forest Whitaker has to get best actor, saw that film today and he was just... he's got that award I'm sure of it. |

Alot of movies got snubed this year. Either Cuaron or Del Toro would have got a Best Director nod instead of United 93. Both Children of Man and Pan's Labyrinth were WAY better than that piece of crap. Casino Royale and Borat got snubbed, too. Dreamgirls got snubbed, too. But the fact it stole Oscar noms from Happy Feet and Casino Royale and a bunch of other movies is currently making someone happy. For everything exept the sound awards and art direction, Pirates will win. If Pan's Labyrinth doesn't win the Art Direction award I am going to Los Angeles and putting my foot right up Sid Ganis's ass. |

Borat didn't get snubbed. It got nominated for Best Screenplay. Yeah, I was also curious about CR's lack of award attention. |

I mean the lack of a Best Actor nomination, Will. Casino Royale puzzles me as well. I was certain it would have at least got a Best Adapted Screenplay and a Best Song nomination. Considering how it got 8 BAFTA noms, that is probalby the biggest snub of the whole year. Happy Feet should have gotten a Best Song, too. If they can give a nomination to Poseidon (Even though the special effect were nice, the movie sucked), they can sure as hell give a few to Casino Royale. |

Either way, he can now bill himself as Academy Award Nominee Sasha Baron Cohen. The only reason it is getting so much BAFTA attention is because it is a British film. |

The Queen got 11, and it got nominated for Best Picture, even though it shouldn't have. |

Yeah, that ticked me off. The only reason it's any good is because of Helen Mirren. Dreamgirls should have been nominated, instead. |

DMC will get effects, nothing looked better than Davy Jones, but why not Borat for best actor? he fooled everyone into thinking he was real, and... I'd have liked to see Tenacious D up for best song. |
