I've ordered a copy of Crackdown which should be here in a few days. It meant I didn't have to go outside. I made sure I specifically ordered a copy that mentioned the Halo beta as there was a site that had it for two quid cheaper but didn't mention Halo so I splashed out. Will |

I hope you get the Halo one. I'm not sure it would cost more than a Haloless one. The beta isn't on the disc. I reckon someone's trying to swindle you. Hpe it's the Halo one, though. Don't want to be the only one on Parley that can go "OMFG!1 WOWZ IT WAS SOOO GR8! COMPLETE PWNAGE!!!!" |

It's more just the price difference between the websites play.com and dvd.co.uk. I went with Play because they specifically mentioned the beta invite whereas DVD didn't. I ended up buying a bunch of other stuff on there anyway. Internet shopping is so much more dangerous than real shopping, it's a lot easier to spend too much money when you're not physically handing over the dough. Will |

Not to mention the fact you don't know 100% what your buying. It's real easy to end up with either something you didn't order or the wrong version of the item you wanted when you shop online. |

No the sites I use are good. Play.com and dvd.co.uk are both reputable companies and only sell genuine items, I use them a lot. The postage is free as they ship out of Jersey for tax reasons. That's also the reason their prices are so much cheaper than high street retailers. I can vouch for them and a couple of others, I've never had a problem with them and I must have spent at least a grand between them over the past two or three years. As for ordering the wrong things it's unlikely as they have specific details on everything. The only way this would happen is by the person not reading or paying attention to what they're clicking on. I always double check at the payment stage to make sure I haven't inadvertently doubled up on anything. I'm looking forward to playing Crackdown and the Halo beta when it's up and running. Will |

Jersey? You trust something from Jersey? You must be either real confident in them or high.... Or both... I can't wait for the beta to go online! I can't wait!!!!! I wonder what it's like? If there's Flood in it, I'm going to scream. I hate them soooooooo much!!!

I think you're probably talking about a different Jersey. The original, not the new variety. It's a small island in the English Channel. They don't have the same tax standards as the mainland so many internet companies are based there and do a thriving trade. I agree about the Flood. They are so very annoying. Will |

So, the new Halo is good eh? Does it look and feel anything like this? What's new and cool about it? I only ever once played Halo, or possibly Halo 2. I can't remember much about it other than shooting some things. Mostly thin air or walls. (N00B!) I just could not get used to the X-box controller. Far to complex for someone like me, more adjusted to the ancient, simple and in gamer terms "gay" nintendo 8 bit. <_< |

Well that's the trailer that's been released so far. The game itself isn't out until later this year but Cold and I are both fans of the series. I'm hoping it's going to be as good as it looks. I would say it should be a fitting end to a brilliant series but the series is living on. There's an RTS game based in the Halo universe coming out later this year called Halo Wars. It's by Ensemble Studios who were the people that made Age of Empires so I have high hopes for it. There is also talk of Peter Jackson's new game company 'Wingnut' producing an as-yet-untitled Halo project also rumoured to be released later this year. Possibly an RPG from what I gather. Possibly not though. Will |

There are three editions of H3 coming out. There's the regular edition costing about £40, the limited Collector's Edition costing around £50 or the Legendary Edition for £70 which is virtually sold out on the preorder so which version is everyone getting? As much as I'd like the Legendary edition with its exclusive artwork, Spartan helmet, making of and lots of additional bells and whistles I haven't preordered it as I don't honestly think I can justify spending that much on a game. I'll probably go with the Collector's Edition. I like having extras and due to the legendary pack it will probably be much cheaper than advertised within a couple of weeks of release. Still looking forward to this game but with finances being a little strained for me at present I think I'll have to go with the cheaper option. Will |
