I bought this game the other day. My main reason for buying it was that my other half wanted to play it. The voice acting is atrocious, the menu music sounds like something from Saved By The Bell, the logos you can personalise look like something from Saved By The Bell and generally the whole cartoon show tie-in with hideously annoying theme and advert music was almost enough to put me off.

I only played this today as it was in the Xbox and I couldn't be bothered to move myself 6 foot to change the game. I've now been playing it for about 14 hours straight. We didn't have lunch or dinner as I was too engrossed with my pinata to notice that it was midnight. Visually it's a really pretty game; the music in the game itself is almost like a film score, it works very well (although, as I've mentioned, the menu music is disgusting). I've given up naming my pinata as I've found that I ended up getting too attached to them. I got upset when a snake I named after one of my pet corn snakes died.

In short, I'm really loving this game. It's 4am and I really should be going to bed but I want to play with my Pinata!

 My younger brother got this game for Christmas, and I watched him play for a while because I thought it might be similar to the old game I had, Animal Crossing... also because it was just funny watching him play this game when ususally he's playing Gears of War or Halo or something, lol. I agree with you! I haven't even played the game, but just sitting there watching it was fun. Its like you get so into what you have to do with your pinata that you kind of forget the real world, lol. In that aspect it does remind me of Animal Crossing, because I fell into the same trap with that game. And now I think I'm going to ask my brother if I can play, because I'd really like to make a pinata myself, lol. This just goes to show how not all fun games need to involve guns and violence! :P (so says the girl who plays Zelda, where you whack at things with a sword. But ahem. No guns... and the enemies are like, goblin-things.)

Well you can still bash things with your spade if you need a bit of violence now and then. I'm still playing this game. I'm seriously hooked. I've been playing for about 10 hours again today and I'm going back to it as soon as I've finished this post. I haven't played a game this long or this obsessively since Sid Meier's Pirates. I spent 37 hours straight playing Pirates once just because I liked it so much. This is different as I don't get too old to play in my garden. I have to go now, I want to sell some pinata.

I totally recommend this game though, it's cute, it's sweet, it's not the most mentally taxing game in the world but it's just so much fun. Especially if you have a copy at your disposal already. Ask your brother nicely.
