Warning: This is long (some of you know how I am already ;) )

I've been on here for a while now, and I've met a lot of wonderful people who've become my friends. We're like one, big happy family here :D . And throughout my time on Parley, I've mentioned bits and pieces about myself, but I thought it was about time that I put some of this information in one place.

First of all, I'm a little older than the average Parleyer (35 as of this post), but I've definitely not lost my capacity for random silliness. In fact, this is one of the few places where I can fully indulge in such activity (my hubby and his sanity thank you). I was born and raised in Southern California, so I do blurt out the occasional "dude" and have an affinity for the words "like" and "all," at least while I'm speaking. (There's my accent, Will :D )

I married one of my best friends about 15 years ago, who I've known since I was 14. He was one of those guys where it seemed most of his friends were girls, and I was one of those girls who most of my friends were guys, so it worked out. That hasn't changed so much, really. We have a daughter and a son, 12 and 13 respectively, and a dog and a cat.

When I was 26, I returned to school for a degree in English. I wanted to be a writer, so I thought this would help me brush up in that area. But knowing I would have a huge education bill when I got out, I thought I could teach to help pay for it. I did get a BA in English, as well as an AA in Humanities, but while doing the required graduate work to become a teacher in the state of California (it varies from state to state, for those who didn't know), I interned as a high school English teacher for one year. I hated it on so many levels, I couldn't begin to list them here. It takes a special kind of person to be a teacher, and I'M NOT IT. So, with a useless degree and a huge debt, the family and I picked up and moved to Arizona, where things were cheaper. Now I sit and look at rocks and cactus, and long for the ocean and mountains. (Ah, the memories, Tomb :( ) Currently, I work as a customer service rep for Amex small business division.

Those are the highlights of my past, for those who are interested, or even if you weren't. :P If you're wondering how I ended up a Rumrunner on here, the short answer is, I don't know. While teaching, I happened to visit a classroom where the teacher was showing CotBP to the class for some literary analysis or something (I think she just wanted an excuse to watch it). It was already on DVD, and I had never heard of the movie. She so highly recommended it, and the few minutes that I saw looked interesting enough, that I bought it that day. I wasn't disappointed; it was a good movie and I loved Jack. But after that, I didn't really think about it anymore.

Then I saw a trailer for DMC only a few days before it came out. Since I had enjoyed the first one so much, the family and I went out and watched it for my son's birthday. But with a cliffhanger ending like that, I had to find out when the 3rd one was coming out. I immediately went online to find out what I could. That led me to KTTC, where I signed in as monkey_named_jack, but I think I made a grand total of 1 post, then to IMDb that kept me interested for a while, but then it became little more than a fanfic board, then I moved over here in October and here's where I call home. In the meantime, I've become an obsessed fan, and everyone who knows me is aware of it.

So that's it, everything you've ever wanted to know about me, and then some.
Raise your hand if you have any questions, or you can see me at my desk if you want to talk to me about it. (oops, sorry. I mean, post replies in the appropriate thread)
