Much the same as 'What was the last film you watched?', 'what are you reading?' and 'what are you listening to?' This thread is dedicated to the games you are currently or have recently been playing. Whether it's a new console, old console, PC, hell, if you got a high score on Solitaire post it here!

I'm about to play Project Gotham Racing on the Xbox 360 with my other half again. There's nothing like careening across the screen in a Ferrari Enzo before you smash head on into a barrier. This is why I don't drive. I should probably start to use the brakes and I do tend to get distracted by the scenery when I should be turning corners but it's only a game so I can't kill anyone. I'm currently driving a Lotus Elise in PGR and (let's face it) it's probably the closest I'll ever come to driving a real one.

[EDIT] It looks like I'm no longer playing PGR as Moping Sunbeam's CTR Yellow Bird was no match for Captain Awesome's Lotus Elise. Don't expect to win races if you're driving a car purely because you like the hippy name, that's something my mother would do. Grr *grumble grumble*.

Since I'm only able to play PSP games for now *grumbles at his lack of a working PS2* I've mostly been playing Lego Star Wars at various points because my niece always wants to play it and needs constant help, it is my game, I just don't feel like playing games too much at the moment but it's the original trilogy, that game is sooo cute, and it is pretty fun to use Boba Fett to shoot rockets at the Emperor, or take an Ewok and just act cute, cute with a super powered bomb shooting catapult. :D

I've played a little LocoRoco at points, which is uberly cute, I think I got stuck on the last level, which for a game which started off so easy got mind exploding hard, that big black squiddy thing kept killing me. :o

And... for old time's sake, Mortal Kombat, classic old skool gaming, it's quite satisfying to get a "Flawless Victory" or uppercut someone off a ledge and onto a pit of spikes for a "Fatality", and even after all these years the 2-D photo versions look cooler than the 3-D digital ones. :D

:D For real?! :yay: OK then.
I have screencap proof that I once made $919 with the Vegas scoring style, with 133 as my time. Proof
Edit hours later: What, am I daft? It's multiple games that allows you to accumulate the amount of "money" so the time doesn't matter there. :D
And I had a high score of 7100 with the normal scoring with 109 as my time. Proof of that
Maybe that's pathetic, I have no idea, but I do know that I worked hard for it.

I've pwned Tomb Raider:Legend a hundred times over, and a hundred times again! It's the easiest TR of them all. The most difficult TR was Angel of Darkness. The controls were terrible. When you need Lara to move quickly, she trots a little and then she goes faster and then I go :banghead: because she dies. <_<

I'm hoping to go visit my sister soon *hopes hopefully* and they have Need For Speed:Carbon, yeah! :yay: That game is insane fun and I will pwn it.
My bro-in-law got it for Christmas last year and him and my nephew played it while I was there. I didn't play it until, I think, three or two days before we left for Pretoria, that was after New Year's. I went further than them both in that short time. Go me! :P I had the most fantastic car and Kenji had dust in his eyes when I was done racing against him. [/senseless boasting]

The only racing game I've ever REALLY been good at was the Burnout games, I had the third one anyway, seriously, I pwned them soooo much, because I'm really good at any game with fighting, and my driving style is pretty much like I'm playing a beat 'em up in a car, any racing game I'll be spinning around corners and trying to smash people off the track, the only game where that makes a difference is Burnout, where I can destroy cars, flip them over or smash them into a brick wall or even head on with a truck, my friend had it on X-Box and he was getting me to do all the crazy parts where you have to smash as many cars as possible while racing, I could always trash about fifty cars on those levels, my scores were just mad, random pointless boasting from me, but I like those games. :D

I play Super Smash Bros. on the Project64 N64 emulator. I love it! I have that, GoldenEye, Shadows of the Empire and Spider-Man 64 for my computer. I also play Battlefield 2 a lot, mostly because I got it for free and am too frugal and uninterested to go buy 2142, though I've played it and its awesome. And I have Lego Star Wars I, again because my friend gave it to me and I don't feel like buying the new one. Thats a fun game. So is Jedi Outcast, too. I like picking people up and throwing them off the cliff, or playing as weird characters with downloaded skins, like Austin Powers and Goofy fighting Vader and Marty McFly. Its fun, especially when they all have the correctly-dubbed voices.

This past vacation I had a chance to brush up on my skills on some old Blizzard games. Not this weekend, but the one before my sister and I put in twelve hours on saturday starting and playing characters on Diablo II (with the expansion). She was the Amazon (my usual first choice) and I took the Sorceress (not a very good choice for me...especially if you neglect to put skill points in vitality, and end up dying anytime a person scores one hit on you). In that time (with frequent breaks because of my wrist protesting all the clicking on the mouse), we made it up until about half way through Act III. It was fun stuff.

Then this weekend my dad, sister, and I teamed up on Starcraft to play computer opponents. There is very little more fun that sitting out of range of your enemies missle defenses and using the seige tank to blast them away...well...except for nuking them, but we beat the opponents before we even made it to the nukes.

I'd forgotten how much I loved those two games--that's the reason I refuse to play Warcraft or WoW. I don't need Blizzard to completely own my soul--Sid Meier managed that already with all the Civ games and his Pirates! ones.

I finally have a computer with a graphics card that will play a decent game. So now I can finally play Myst IV: Revelation. I've played all (I think) of the others.

It started with the first Myst, which is essentially based on the idea that this guy Atrus can write linking books into other worlds, or "Ages", and you have to solve all these puzzles and things to find out what's going on and how to fix it. Then there was the sequel, Riven, which although is was based on the same linking book idea as the first one, I don't remember the specifics of it (It's been several years). Then there was Exile, about some disgruntled guy who is trying to mess things up for Atrus.

And finally, the company that started the whole thing split up and went their separate ways. One created Uru which focused on the resurrection of the D'ni race. There were big plans for that game which included an online community game and several expansion packs, but it didn't go anywhere. They had one expansion that you could download for free (and I did) but I haven't heard anymore about it. But then, I haven't been on their site in a while.

And the other company came out with this game Myst IV: Revelation that still focuses on Atrus and his family. I've barely started it, so we'll see how it goes.

I've started playing my Xbox again, though my game collection is quite small. Aside from Rainbow Six 3, the only games I play regularly are Halo and Halo 2.

I'm gonna give Splinter Cell a try later tonight, most likely.

I was about to play God of War II, buit then I didn't cause I thought the first one... sucked. So, I got the Don's Edition of the Godfather, for the PS3. Pretty fun game. Funner than the crap that is Grand Theft Auto, at least.

I'm saving all of my energy for Pokemon Diamond. Once that game comes out basically everyone I know will be palying it and nothing else for about... 3 months. You gotta catch 'em all, y'know?

I've spent a great deal of time playing Crackdown this week. It's big dumb fun. I've maxed out on my agility, strength and explosives skills and I'm working on my driving ability. It's a fun game with a fairly simple premise but developing super powers makes it all the better. It would be fairly easy to just run through the game following the missions but the joy of sandbox games mean that you can deviate from that and go exploring, go rogue and kick peacekeepers to death and make huge piles of cars and blow them up with rocket launchers. I wasn't going to play it today but I think I will now.

I played Crackdown for about, a week and then got bored of it. I'm getting sick of all these GTA ripoffs. How can you ripoff something that's not even good? By taking GTA, adding some new thing, and making it even shittier, that's how.

I've been on my Wii playing some old school Nintendo games. Amazing to find out Star Fox 64 isn't as fun as it used to be.

I've got Need For Speed: Underground and Need For Speed: Underground 2. I actually preferred the first one. I've played Most Wanted and Carbon but if anything I think the extra factors outside the races themselves detract from the gameplay. I always liked racing games, there are a couple of ones out/coming out this year that look really good. For now I'm happy with PGR3.

GameFAQs are pretty good for bits that you're stuck on.
I was going to have a go on some of the PS2 games I've been neglecting but there just isn't room in the scart splitter for it. I'm not untangling a load of wires tonight but I'll probably end up with a new splitter soon. Hopefully one that can accomodate the Wii, 360, DVD player and the PS2. I was in the mood to play R Type Final.
