Questions not yet answered from the previous thread will be answered, but if you are going to ask a question, please post here. He's a Lord, Actually...

I'd like to register a complaint. I'm not a pirate, nor was I ever, nor have I ever had such charges leveled against me. This is libel, pure and simple, and an affront to the East India Company to associate us with such riffraff. Tomb, It should not be of interest to you because you are a woman, and such questions belong to a domain which is for men. It is, however quite natural to take an interest in me, however less questions about the internal matter of the East India Company should be advisable. Sincerely, Lord Cutler Beckett Anamaria, If I said yes, would you then try to claim that it is cutting off the blood to my brain? Tsk tsk, such predictability...it's no wonder that most of you pirates stick to the same tried and true skull and crossbones. You are entirely lacking in creativity to come up with anything better. If you can come up with insult somewhat on par with Mr Gillette's (as lacking in creativity as his own can be), then you may feel free to contact me again, until then, some of us do actually do an honest day's work. Sincerely, Lord Cutler Beckett Montezuma, I write them down. Port Royale, currently, but I do have an estate in England that, God-willing, I shall see again sometime soon. That would be the Endeavour. Sincerely, Lord Cutler Beckett |

Dearest Lord Beckett, Do you believe that Hamlet ever really went mad, or was he merely pretending the whole way through to achieve retribution for his father's death? Love, Tomb |

Beckett, I believe there's been a misunderstanding. I need not claim anything. It's already well known that there's a lack of bloodflow going to your brain. I was simply pondering the reason for it. And regarding an "honest day's work," you and I are both in the same business. The only difference is, yours is sanctioned by Crown. Everyone else seems to recognize it, hence the name of this forum. Why are you so slow to accept it? Oh, nevermind! It's the whole wig thing again, isn't it? Pity, that. Anamaria |

Bucket, "If you can come up with insult somewhat on par with Mr Gillette's (as lacking in creativity as his own can be)" I'm not sure if I should be flattered or amused that you apparently consider my wit to be so noteworthy. Perhaps I should be both. Haven't you got lives to ruin? It seems a bit unbecoming for such a... kind and upstanding boy like yourself - I'm sorry, gentleman - to be dallying around with pyrates. Gillette -- To anyone except Bucket (that's a fitting sort of name for him, actually), What are your thoughts on the East India Company's encroachment in Jamaica, and Port Royal in particular? Lieutenant Gillette |

Tomb,
You are a strange woman, prone to hyperbole...
Some people do, some do not. Perhaps it is solely based upon impulse. Regards, Admiral Norrington, EIC Alia, To absorb energy...to seem intimidating, a lack of ability to accept convention, and a need to try to separate oneself from others by using an ostentatious display of clearly not having enough sense? Regards, Admiral Norrington, EIC Montezuma, I'm not sure at what you are getting at...what is a "computer" and how would it aid in answering these questions? Is is a person who reads a mind and then tells the answer? Currently my berth is on the Black Pearl. Yes. I have gone on leave. Regards, Admiral Norrington, EIC M'lord Beckett, I'll have those papers for you soon. Regards, Admiral Norrington, EIC Gillette, Be amused or flattered. That's the closest I've ever heard His Lordship coming to a compliment in my time around him. Just don't get yourself in any more trouble. We wouldn't want Theodore to surpass in you rank. Yet anyway. And in regards to your question...perhaps you should look up my current employer? Regards, Admiral Norrington, EIC |

Dearest James,
Your flattery is overwhelming.
So do you think their inflation of prices causing the lower classes to suffer only to deepen the pockets of the rich to be a good thing? Honestly, sad to see you where you are, Tomb |

Dear Tomb, I would think it impossible now to even get back to Port Royal to do so. But had things gone differently, I most certainly would have. Though he did give in to the bottle, he was still a good man for what he has done for me and I would certainly repay the favor. Will ----------------------
Dear Alia, Chance. I don't like to think that there are higher powers controlling who we are to love, that it is purely chance that we come across them. Predesignation sounds too permanent, as if we are only fated to one person and if that does not work out, then we spend the rest of our lives alone. A dismal thought. Will --------------------------
Dear Dizzy, Most likely a lionfish. Will --------------------------
Dear Lisa, I do enjoy sketching. It helps me clear my mind and decide what I would like to do, before I go to the forge. Though what few I have made are usually given to the fire after. Will -----------------------------
Dear Montezuma, I write them and somehow they appear here, curiously enough. I used to live in the back room of the shop. Now my living quarters consist of sharing space with several other men who have forgotten to bathe in the recent years. The officer's sword for the Commodore. It was, I believe, my best work. Will ------------------------------
Lieutenant Gillette, Had the East India Company not come to Port Royal, I would not be where I am at the moment. My thoughts? I wished they had stayed away. Will |

Dear Tomb, "If you could ask me any question, what would it be?" I'd rather ask you that in private. Love, Captain Jack Sparrow Lizzy, "Stop trying to look down my top." I'd be happy to look up your dress instead, but you're not wearing one. You're not giving me any options, love. Love, Captain Jack Sparrow Norrington, "Only the urge to commit murder." Is that what they're calling it nowadays? I've heard it referred to as 'choking', but this is a new one for me. Captain Jack Sparrow Oohlala, "I'm throwing away my sister--would you like her? She's thinks your cute." I don't know - would I like her? She does seem to have excellent taste. Yours, Captain Jack Sparrow Dear Monte, "If you do not have a computer then how do you answer these questions?" Have I ever said that I don't have a computer? "Where do you live?" Aboard the Pearl, of course. "What made you become a pirate?" Fate. Yours, Captain Jack Sparrow Dear Ana, "Life has been horribly dull in Port-de-Paix and I'd be interested in sailing again, if you'll have me. I promise not to slap you...unless you deserve it." Not quite good enough, love. But try again; you might just be able to persuade me. Yours, Captain Jack Sparrow Dear Dizz, "What was it like in the Locker? Didn't the crabs sort of.. freak you out?" Crabs? What crabs? All this time I was hungry, there were crabs? Yours, Captain Jack Sparrow Gillette, "What are your thoughts on the East India Company's encroachment in Jamaica, and Port Royal in particular?" The East India Company or the Royal Navy - it makes little difference to me which one of them rules a particular port. The EIC has the benefit of moving about valuable items worthy of my attention, and for that I am eternally grateful. But their power is growing to the point where no one will be able to stop them, and that's as bad for you as it is for me. Face it, mate, the Brethren is the only thing standing between the EIC and their rule of the sea - and what a chance they stand. Once the pirates are finished, do you think the EIC will simply stop? Do you think they'll stop after getting rid of the French, the Spanish, the Dutch? I'm surprised your lot have let it come this far. Isn't it supposed to be Britannia ruling the waves, rather than Beckett? Captain Jack Sparrow |
