Last Saturday I was in the library and I went round to the Business section to look for a book on accounting. I saw books about business and management with deeply soporific titles such as "How to Lead a Winning Team." I intend no offence to 172 but I'll never under any circumstances read such books. For me they are forever and a day unreadable. Why am I mentioning all this? Well some of you know that the recent Scottish Referendum shocked and dismayed me so much that I became a staunch believer in capitalism and a Conservative with a capital C. However I simply can't get even 0.00001% interested in the nuts and bolts of running a business. I am a solitary, bookish and meditative person and business seems to me to require brash, outgoing, insensitive, won't take no for an answer people. People who are both 'self-starters' AND 'team players.' Edited by Cat's Pyjamas, Mar 31 2015, 05:35 PM.
